Art Garfunkel & Art Garfunkel Jr. - Bridge Over Troubled Water (Live at Carnegie Hall)

The New York Pops celebrated their 41st Birthday Gala entitled "The Soundtrack of Our Lives: A Tribute to the Legendary Clive Davis" with Music Honoree and legendary record executive Clive Davis. Performing were notable musicians and singers from the industry including Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, Carlos Santana, Art Garfunkel, his son Art Jr among others.
In a VERY RARE performance and for first time in more than a decade, Art sings Bridge Over Troubled Water with a full accompaniment of an orchestra. He and Art Jr. lit up the audience with their version of the Simon and Garfunkel classic.

I remember going to the record store to buy that S & G album the day it was released. I was 16 years old and nearly emptied my meager teenage wallet to buy it I took it right home and played the song over and over at least 10 time straight, basking in the melody, the harmony and the message of what is perhaps the greatest popular song of all time. It still moves me, and I feel privileged to hear Art and his son render it one more time, with such feeling.

Art Gurfunkel voice is God given. His voice mesmerized me as a child when listening to him and Paul Simon .
It just happened again with his son Art Jnr.

I can't begin to tell you how much joy Simon & Garfunkel brought me back in the day! Our record player had S&G albums on the turntable all the time as well as Art Garfunkel's classic LP "Angel Clare". Thank You for the music and I love seeing Arty & Son singing together on this vid.
