Best quick video on sound design I've watched in a while
Who else loves sound design? 👀
Me!
All day Sir!
Meeeee
Me from India
Who doesn't loves it 😍
I always teach my students to get on set foley. After getting roomtone get and foley while your there. (Footsteps, doors, classes,) That way it’s the same microphone same room environment. Faking a room Tone in post is very difficult to get right.
I have a stupid question about this. I’m just starting out trying to get into cinematography. If we are supposed to record the room before dialogue as it is, and then record the dialogue with no background noise, what does recording both separately do?
Well articulated, beautifully explained, absolutely nailed it.....
well done friend
It would be great to make more such short films for us...🙏👌👏👏👏
This was beautiful. Practical, quick and easy to understand. Thanks.
I like that they talk about the importance of doing foleys on set. I think it is something that many go unnoticed and recreating it in another place is more complicated.
Im loving the learning experience as I'm already in knowledge with sound design.
This is what I'm talking about!
Excellent!
Nice breakdown! Loved it🙌
These were exactly the tips I was looking for. Thanx a lot!
Amazing as always
Love your videos guys . Planning to buy your course after school 🔥🔥
I'm in love with video editing now
Iam watching from Mozambique, Africa
Anyone from India
Wowwww. This videos are crazy!!
I freaking love this channel 👍❤🎬
Sound is heart ❤️ of any video 👍
Thanks for this. Easy to understand and good advice. With the risk of sounding a bit nitpicky, can I make a suggestion? Filmmaking is not simply quick cut RUclips videos but rather either short or feature length movies. It would be helpful to see some sound design work across an entire scene with normal pacing. Perhaps a 2 minute long scene including dialogue. I get that it's easy to demonstrate the power of sound design with these short form pieces of content, but they aren't really films.
This is why these you-tubers hide all the good stuff for their paid course
You mentioned , constant power effect for making sound adding between audios, however I prefer ,, exponential fade '' useful for making song to fade out and wanted time, works as audio transition too.
Anyway thank you for great guide as always.
I love tomorrow filmmakers ❤️
Very well explained! Thank you!
Nice tutorial. However, is it just me feeling that all those whoosh sounds are more and more annoying throughout YT videos? They are generally all the same and put everywhere. Even in this video, every text was accompanied with a loud sound. That will make people indifferent to them. Why not to put a sound effect only to a really important message?
Personally I can endure bad visuals but not bad sound I love this video I wish I could afford the course much love from Kenya 🇰🇪
Justus is amazing ,,,I learned so much from him
I’m literally walked around the neighborhood with an H4 and some headphones. A totally different experience. Had a different respect fir sound after
Great stuff!!!!!
Thank you sir ❤️
that intro was like those weight loss ads where the before photo has no make up and bad lighting
Haha, totally
I LOVE IT
Love this
great tips 🔥🔥🔥
Super!! Thx!!
Boht hi achhe se samjaya..muje samj aa gya..
We learn great things here!
What a difference!
Thanks 🙏 TOMORROW FILMMAKERS
Great video thanks.
Great video! amazing. Do you have a course from this guy on sound design? Does he have some other courses or tutorials???
A friend of mine once told me, music is half the space!
👍👌👌👌
That was George Lucas :)
Thanks alot !
Wooooooowwwww
Good one 👍
Thanks man
Excellent
Thanks 🙏
Really2 informative channel i really appreciate it
Well covered
Nice editing
When you record your own sounds with the use of your cam+mic, how do you remove the audio from your file? What program? And then i suppose you drop the mp3 file in your timeline in the editing software??
I know it's been a bit, but there should be an option in the editor to insert just the audio from the clip.
can someone tell me how to make the dialogues sound properly while keeping the bgsound clean ?
Cool!
Nice one🙂🙂
0:27 this is good sound design… “stereo pan police sirens while splashing at the waterfall” 🎉
Happy Dewali sir Love from india
Can u do a course on sound design in tomorrow filmmakers?
Are there free sounds or libraries that we can use for our own videos to eventuallly monetize?
I'm slightly offended by myself for forgetting to hit the bell for notifications lol. Thanks for another awesome video!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Worthy to Subscribe your channel 😊☺️😊☺️
What software or app do you use to edit?
great
Good 👍
What about the sound design for news channels?
A police car drove past my house watching this and I was like "why's there a police car down the beach?"
what if you're doing weddings? I feel there is only so much sound design you can put in before making it kind of ridiculous.
This is one
My mic broke on set so we had to remake the sound from home as we wouldn’t of been able to re do the shots, however, except for like 2 clips with poor sound design it was actually quite good. I just struggle with filling in silence.
Please make more tutorial videos
good
so put annoying muzak in your video ...got it
what's the name of the app?
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I use a DAW for that
Got tomorrows filmmakers ad in this video😅
wish more people making these tutorials taught software such as Nuendo 12, Pro tools, reaper and how in professional workflows, the sound designers will get and AAF from the video editor then do the sound and send it back to the video editor. Professional film work(not youtube videos) will never have the audio done in premier pro.....
Please davici resolve tutorial 🥺
What's the name of that software he himself is using on his PC for editing?
Looks like adobe premier
@@Animayta thanks
Could've at least showed the reverb effect at play
Quality is never appreciated,,
As we love trash,,
Such Quality channel needs million subscribers, 100k likrs
The sounds you named “real” and “artificial” are called Diegetic Sound and Non-Diegetic Sound.
👍👍 07:09 "san francisco" font name?
Video starts at 2:43
so good sound design is adding police sirens randomly to the footage of an editing timeline? mhmm okay
The intro comparison is a little unfair don’t you think lmao
Yeahhh, there were zooms, air blowers and all
sir i am from india and i want to buy your course but i don't have facility to make international payment. Can you help?
Me too
There was nothing subtle about any post production decision in this tutorial. -sheesh-
great tips....except maybe for the whoosh part. these days, hearing that sfx makes me click away from the video.
This would have been way more helpful if you put like 8 more examples in lol
a whole new dimension came alive because the edit was completely different. It's disingenuous to compare two completely different edits an caim the sound design made all the difference.
Would have been more impressive to hear good sound design with the same boring intro instead of a re-edit
I think this style of soundesign is terrible. Creating ten thousand tracks for one sound doesn't make your composition more interesting. The most important thing in sound is.. silence. For example I find the sound work on "Dune" completely superficial because the sound space is saturated with information. On the other hand " memoria " seems more intersting to me because the movie works with the silence ...
Your intro makes me wanna stop watching. If you compare a boring video with a video that has action to work with.. its not a comparison at all. And throwing an ad to your product right after a clip that had no point is like punching someone in the face and than trying to sell him/her your course on pacifism.
this is so cringe.
