I disagree it'd be an easier slaughter. Even Kirk's time and tech would slaughter the B5 verse with very little effort. The enterprise took a point blank nuclear mine and survived it, I don't know what the ice cream cone ship was that was stopped by one ship overloading it's warp core with an explosion equal to our sun, and that's not including what'd happen if they abused the transporters (beam out the telepath cpu and leave it the buffer, beam an object onboard that explodes, beam off chunks of the ship etc) which the B5 verse wouldn't have a means to stop nor counter. Um no the shadows were defeated by an alliance of many races including ancient ones, and minbari and still nearly lost. Star Trek is NOT on par with minbari.
That depends on which universe you choose from. Anything evolved beyond physical form would probably be a threat to the Shadows, but not to the Vorlons, depending on what types of secret goodies the Vorlons might have that the rest of the universe is unaware of. If you take into consideration that the Vorlons are essentially energy beings, than you could possibly figure out what kind of hyper advanced technology such beings might be able to use - think Kosh and his suit - I suspect Vorlon ships are essentially the same thing as Kosh's suit.

Years ago, when Usenet discussion chat rooms were more of a thing, we nerdy types participated in may "vs" debates. The most noted was E-D vs. ISD, meaning Picard's Enterprise D against an imperial class star destroyer from star wars. But not far beneath that heated dispute was E-D vs B5, meaning Picard's ship against the technology of Babylon 5, including that of the First Ones, such as Vorlons and the Shadows. I was a very active participant in those debates for several years. And folks, it wasn't even close. Trek technology is proven to be superior to that of *both* star wars *and* B5, First Ones and all. Anything here in this video to the contrary is mistaken. Not only is this demonstrated in technologies in Trek that have *no* analogues in SW or B5, like transporters and replicators, but especially the weapons and shields have proven to be stronger by many times. And in the case of B5, there *are* no shields! The weapons in B5 include things like x-ray lasers. Lasers of *any* sort, per the TNG ep "The Outrageous Okana," won't even penetrate the E-D's navigational deflector, much less their tactical shields. Yet they *can* damage other ships in B5, even Shadow ships. Their interceptors just make a gas cloud that's supposed to disperse beam weapons. But that wouldn't work on a phaser beam, and obviously would do nothing to hinder a Trek ship's photon torpedoes. And those torpedoes, we can show, can be set to any explosive yield up to a maximum of over 60 Megatons. Compare that to the yields of the missiles we see in B5. Again, not even close. And the newer quantum torpedoes are twice as powerful as that. Then there's warp drive, which can be used without hindering the use of sensors, weapons, etc. This can't be said of either B5's jump gate technology *or* star wars' hyperdrive, both of which rob you of knowing what's going on in normal space until you emerge back into normal space. Add to this the comparatively miraculous medical technology in Trek, and it all adds up to an *Easy* Victory For Starfleet. Thank You. 😁
