It makes no sense. They had those two tone striped versions before and they could obviously make a shirt in the lighter of those colours. They have a sand coloured riding shirt for the heavier non mesh one too. It is so ridiculous.

It's actually a jacket designed to look like a shirt. That mesh alone costs about 45euros/meter, and you need more than one meter of fabric for this garment (about 1,5 m)... Yea, the prices seem high, but consider the material, the price of the armor, the seamstress/factory getting paid, designers getting paid and retailers as well, and add some value you want to make per garment and there goes your price. It really surprises me how people still complain about the garment prices even in the 21st century (while the prices are actually lower then they used to be and every worker wants a fair wage)...
This surprises me even more when it comes to protective garments. These horrible to touch but still, protective a.f. fabrics are not cheap, but guess what, they are cheaper than your hospital bill. You could as well consider the fact that motorcycles and motorcycling are an expensive hobby to have. Dang, I could continue expressing why the prices have the reason to be where they are.... Let's say you have a brand and you've been building it for two decades. Now you got yourself a name and your products are of a good quality, superior to most of the shit on the market. Tell me you're still going to undersell yourself and sell a protective gear for the prices of your average prisoner/childlabor made tee shirt. Seriously, dude... :)

@@AkaBull It is if you compare it to a regular shirt. But I always remind myself it's much cheaper than the skin grafts I'd need if I got hit wearing just a regular shirt...

@@DannigBB6 Agree, but for cheaper I can just get a vented Reax jacket, no?
