@@ShabbyFabrics Can I use Soft and Stable instead and adhere it using double sided fusible web?

That's a great idea, Giselle! Thank you for sharing! - Sophie
Love this cute, cute basket! After going through my supplies, I find fusible batting.......is that the same or at least close enough to.....fusible fleece? Looks like so much fun to make it with jelly roll strips. What a great way to use a jelly roll when you can’t see it sewn into a quilt. I buy them often because I love all of the colors, but don’t always like the way they look in a quilt sometimes because of .....all of the color! 😆
Hi Kathy! This is such a fun project! You can use fusible batting, but we recommend using fusible interfacing for the lining, to make the basket easier to turn through! Thank you for watching! - Sophie
@@ShabbyFabrics Sophie, yes, I do have fusible interfacing in my supplies and will use that with the lining. I should have said that. But I wondered if the fusible batting that I have would work in place of the fusible fleece so I wouldn’t have to go buy or order something. That only delays me in getting started. Thanks for your response. I think I’m good to start if the fusible batting will work. Such a cute idea! Have not made a basket like this one but I have made lots of bags and other similar projects. Anxious to get going.
I love it make it for my grandson thank you
Thank you for sharing! Good luck in the giveaway! - Sophie
To add stability, I would cut a plastic canvas to insert in bottom.

These are really cute and functional. Do you think it would ok to use sew-in foam like Soft and stable to give the bag even more structure?
Hi Gwen! That would be a great idea! Just make sure to consider how thick Soft and Stable is, as you'll have to turn this project through! Thank you for watching! - Sophie
Love these storage baskets. I'd make mine with either flower market by Wilmington prints and/or animal crackers. Thanks
Those are both such cute collections! Thank you for sharing! - Karina
I make a lot of bags and I leave the opening to turn in the bottom of the lining. Then you would not have the issue with the strip on top.
Great tip! Thank you for sharing! - Sophie

Thank you so much for another great video. I just love them. I have a question about those boxed corners. Is there a way/formula to figure out how large a boxed corner should be compared to the idem I want to sew? For example if I want to make those baskets smaller or larger or if I want to make a boxed pencil pouch etc. I always have a hard time to figure out the size of those.
Hi Gabi! There is not a specific tool or formula to box corners. However, the deeper you box your corners, the shorter the project will be. Thank you for watching! - Sophie
Great project and I will be using mod as. “ on the go “” fabrics
On The Go is such a fun collection! Thank you for sharing! Good luck in the giveaway! - Sophie

I’d love to make it with Bali pop horizons!
Thank you for sharing! Good luck in the giveaway! - Sophie
Would making a lid/cover be hard to make for these?
Hi Susie! You could absolutely make a lid for this project! We recommend making it slightly larger than the opening of the basket, using the same process as the body of the basket to box the corners. Thank you for watching! - Sophie

kind of wondering why you didn't leave a hole in the bottom of the lining to turn your bag through
That's a great option as well! Thank you for sharing! - Sophie
I heard not to use steam on fusible fleece ?
It may be a preference- we have not experienced problems when using steam on our fusible fleece. 💖 -Michelle

@@ShabbyFabrics thanks so much!
Can you use Soft and Stable rather than fusible fleece?
Hi Karen! You could absolutely experiment with different stabilizers! Just be mindful of the thickness, as you'll have to turn this project through! Thank you for watching! - Sophie
What size is finished basket?
Hi Dorothy! The fabric basket measures approximately 12" x 12" with the height varying depending on how far you turn the cuff over. Thank you for watching! - Sophie
I need a basket to hold my scraps.
This is definitely a great project for that! Thank you for watching. 💖 -Michelle
@@ShabbyFabrics I made it but it didn't stand up as well as I had hoped so I have been thinking of a way to make it sturdier and I am thinking about using a thrift store lampshade with metal framing in between the inside and outside fabric. That would make it stand up. I will let you know.

Love the animal crackers for the grandchildren

I fell asleep listening to one of these basket videos. I dreamed you made me a single bed blanket (unfinished). I was rummaging through your stash and found a doll sized dress. You said I won't bother you. I had a rainbow strand of toddler converse sneakers and you said to hang them outside. I said everyone will throw their shoes out! Then you got in a bubble bath and I was cleaning your sink. It was clogged and you told me to shove brownies down it and plunge it with a plastic dowel, that resembled a citrus juicer. 🙄
That sure is an interesting dream. We're glad you enjoy this basket, and we hope you keep dreaming of fun projects and endless projects! 😍 -Michelle
