DELICIOUS GOAT WET FRY | MBUZI WET FRY | EASY BRAISED GOAT RECIPE

  • This delicious goat wet fry or mbuzi wet fry recipe is easy and makes a perfect week night dinner for you , your family or when entertaining friends. Wet fry recipes are popular Kenyan recipes, i look at them the same way as braises and are very adaptable.
    This recipe call for goat meat, in this case cut up pieces which are first browned and then slowly simmered/ braised in a spiced tomato based sauce . The peppers are added for balance, taste a. color and texture.. The result is a yummy dish that just needs some rice , chapati or a side of your liking to complete it.

    INGREDIETS LIST
    3 Lbs goat meat, bone in, diced
    1 Red onion, sliced
    1 Tbs Garlic, minced
    1 Tbs Ginger, minced
    1 Tbs tomato paste
    1 tsp cumin coriander
    1 Tsp Curry powder
    1/2 Tsp Chili powder
    1/2 Tsp Thyme, dry
    2 bay leaves
    1/2 Cup Cilantro, chopped
    2 scallions
    2 Cups Chicken stock or water
    2 Small green chilis, optional
    1 Tbs balsamic vinegar or lemon juice
    1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
    1.5 Cups Bell peppers, yellow, red and orange
    Salt and pepper to taste

    I could never make the exact same test of the kenya mbuzi wet fry. Always comes somewhat different than what I test in the restaurant.
