Landscape Photography In Swiss Mountains

  • Landscape photography in a high alpine world including overnight stay in the tent.
Magnificent mountain panoramas, crisp air, clouds, fog and the golden autumn sun made a great mix for landscape photography and camping.
Being able to stay overnight at high altitude has the great advantage to be already on location for the best light at sunset and sunrise - without having to start hiking in the middle of the night.
Nothing comes for free though. I paid for this luxury with a pretty heavy backpack.
After a magnificent sunset and an unexpectedly frosty night at 2500m, the sunrise was rather uninspiring from a photographic point of view (clear sky), but more than welcome for the frozen bones.
    Thanks for watching!

Thanks for taking us on the trip! Hard to believe those jackets keep you warm enough, but isn't that the miracle of modern technology:) The image with the path leading outward (2nd photo from last?) is definitely print worthy, imho . All beautiful captures!! Thanks again, Cheers

Down jackets rule the cold! Besides, it was one of the warmest octobers ever and the morning frost was just in that little trough where we pitched the tents.
I know I shouldn't compare and I should be less reluctant printing landscape images, but there are so many absolutely stunning landscape images out there that it gives me some sort of inner printing blockade.
Thanks alot for your feedback, it is much appreciated!
      Cheers

The location is in the same area as the last video - so similar views, but different :)

Danke! Das war in der Region Adelboden - die genauen Routen möchte ich hier nicht veröffentlichen (Stichwort "Insta Spots" - man weiss ja nie, ob ein Video plötzlich zu grosser Reichweite kommt).

I really wanna know why they doesn't worth printing inspite of your approval as a keeper. If it's a keeper, it would worth printing. If it doesn't worth printing, so it's not a keeper in the first place. What i'm saying is that all the photos worth printing they are good. Please, explain to me your point of view, why you don't wanna prunt them. I really wqnt to learn sonething here.

Hi, first just to clarify: non-keepers are images I delete permanently.
Now as with everything, there's not just black and white, delete or print but many gray shades in between. There are a few reasons to keep images but not print them: as memories, as scouting pictures for another visit to the same location, to see what I could do better and learn from them, to show them to others who might like them better than me, sometimes my opinion changes and I think an image is worth printing when I look at it again after a while etc.
Sometimes the keepers are important pictures for personal development, even though they are not the best.
I hope you understand my point of view now.
      Cheers
