I really hope that when mankind develops warp technology that we name the first ship enterprise would be a wonderful homage to an epic story
Sure, why not? We did that for the Shuttle prototype.
@@kurtreber9813 yep
There was a scene in Stargate SG-1 where they choosing a name for the SG C'S first starship and Capt Carter says, "No,Sir. we can't call her Enterprise!:"
Y’all already got to name a shuttle let other sci fi nerds have some fun
@@cowerdnerddespacito9518 Prometheus? Firefly?
The Enterprise rising up from the water and clouds is the coolest thing I have ever seen, the amount of CGI put into this film is staggering.
I really like how the native race draws a picture of the Enterprise in the sand; I'd like to think that the federation comes back in 2000 years and wonders why there's images of ancient starships on their pyramids, churches, palaces, etc. Of course they would know who to blame for this.
Absolutely. I know a lot of people dislike the reboot trilogy but holy shit I loved those scenes.
the movies now a days cant even frame 1 picture with as perfect CGI as this
@@absolutefoot4594 they certaintly have problems, especially into darkness, but I cant help but love the kelvin trilogy to death
The refit leaving spacedock for the first time is one of the greatest scenes in all of star trek history
It's just... so slowww it's so much better in wrath of khan honestly
I agree👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You're right!! So agree
Goosebumps
Those large scale models had so much detail. CGI can't match that detail level yet, they don't use a twelve foot canvas.
I love the Motion Picture Enterprise. I love the glorious views and departure Gene did for this magnificent retrofit Enterprise!
It truly was a love letter to us fans!
Retrofit or refit? Which one?
The Motion Picture gets a lot of hate, but I liked it also, love the premise and I did not mind them spending some time with the new technology getting to see the scale of the ship. Sure, there could have been a little more personality with the characters, but it was still a good movie.
the first movie is a true scifi movie
The newest version is better.
Growing up as a little kid in the early 70's, I had only ever seen the Enterprise on a 25" console TV, very low broadcast resolution. Seeing these scenes of the Enterprise in The Motion Picture in the theater when it first came out was a very special experience. I'll never forget the thrill of seeing the ship on the big screen for the very first time.
Oh I envy you so much. To see it for the first time. Especially during that time when effects and shots were dazzling
Same feeling here
Exactly! Some people pan this movie for dedicating too much time to this inspection scene but it will always be the highlight of the film to me along with the departure from dry dock. Enterprise was the real star of the movie. I was 8 when I saw this in the theater on opening night and the ship looked seemed 100% real to me.
ditto @ace1...I too as a kid watched Star Trek....I grew up on it! The show always gave me hope for the future.
December 1979...... university mall movie theater Pensacola Florida I was there !
52:00 I swear that in all the movies and franchises, this scene was the one that got me thrilled
Yea same, just perfect
Whether you’re a Star Trek 2009 fan or not, you gotta admit, that shot of the enterprise in front of Saturn is amazing - 47:48
The ship itself just looks amazing
The NuTrek fans are NOT Star Trek fans. NuTrek is stupid and crappy.
An absolutely stellar soundtrack too.
@@thekansan8683, the soundtracks of the real Star Trek movies are far better than the ones of the fake and stupid NewTrek movies.
@@PapaPalpatine621, the Enterprise (Refit) of the classic real Star trek movies and of the Next Gen movies (Enterprise D and E) are more amazing than the one of the fake and stupid NuTrek.
USS Enterprise NCC-1701 A is the most beautiful ship ever. The opening of The Original Movie with the long beauty shot as Scotty takes Kirk to the new ship is so gorgeous I can hardly stand it and always end up crying as they arrive.
Not counting Vengeance ofc.
Get a grip
That wasn't the A. That was the original Enterprise refitted
I sgree with you AND I feel the same way about the NCC - 1701 REFIT. It is the most beautiful of all.
And, the most intelligent crew aboard it. I miss them all.
@@devoncook1845 It the original for 1-3, then A for 4-6. I love the original refit!
やっぱり’79の劇場版第1作は素晴らしい!

Three-years later and the Enterprise-A is still as aw-inspiring as when I first saw her🥺
I never would have thought of or conceived of an edit like this. Thank you. You're extremely brilliant with both video and sound editing.
18:53: "Sir, the mains are back online!" "Bless you, Scotty. Go, Sulu!"
Tell me what you want, but the scenes from First Contact are so full of detail and look so clean and clear without any annoying lense flares either, it blows my mind knowing most the ships in it were models still and it still somehow looks miles better than the movies that came after!
First contact was the visuals at their absolute finest. The weight and feel of an actual starship perfected. From 1979 they were leading up to that perfection. Nowadays it's all fuzzy blurry cgi toys.
@@ToothlessDragon536 Agreed! Idk what happened these past 25 years, but it just went downhill from First Contact imo!
Now ships are super dark lit, theres always some blur or lense flare blocking the view, it feels like there some sort of mist in space aswell between the ships and the cam.
In First Contact the ships look so damn crisp! Especially those flybys from the E!!
Cant be beaten!
USS Vengeance sneaking up behind Enterprise in warp still gives me a chill. Especially after all the build up to the moment. "If you think you are safe at warp, you are wrong."
The most beautiful ship in the sci-fi universe. And the Jerry Goldsmith's music theme is the soul of the Enterprise.
Ok....Gotta give you props for including a scene with the USS Enterprise CV-65. That was a nice touch.
Don't forget the legendary Grey Ghost herself USS Enterprise (CV-6)
@@andrewmontgomery5621 Agreed....but they didn't use that one in any of the Star Trek films.

Nvm I found it
@ Les Launer: Not so a nice touch. The Aircraft Carrier shown in Star Trek 4 was the USS Ranger CVA-61, she was standing in for the USS Enterprise CVN-65 which was at sea at the time of filming of ST4. The Ranger was the third of four Forrestal-class carriers that was built in 1954. The Ranger was 77ft. shorter than the Enterprise and was NOT NUCLEAR POWERED like the Big-E was. The ending credits of the movie list the thanks to the Officers and Men of: USS Ranger, Marine Detachment, USS Ranger, U.S. Coast Gaurd exc.....I though after all of these years every Trek fan knew that this wasn't the real Big-E in Star Trek 4.
@@dragonfly492 Oh, for crying out loud....they put the CVN-65 on the side of it, and identified it onscreen as the USS Enterprise. How in the hell would a non-US Navy filmgoer know the difference?
The motion picture reveal is the most beautiful moment for any sci fi ship, both visually, musically and emotionally.
The Refit Enterprise is my all time favorite, those elegant, clean lines, the detailed lighting, the slightly different shaded panels, all gave a real sense of size and depth.
Also, these movies are the reason that I developed an early age love for symphony and in general classical music
The regression from thoughtful cinema to full-on A.D.D. CGI vomit is absolutely incredible when edited like this.
Still, you can't make those later scenes without CGI. Whether you think they're vomit or not.
@@ambienthangout You don't make A-D-D CGI vomit that turns the movie into a cartoon. There. Problem solved.

Very nice compilation of various Star Trek movies.
The NCC-1701-A refit is the most beautiful ship put to film.
I always say the same thing.
Still without ANY DOUBT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL STARSHIP IN MOVIE OR TV HISTORY.
Thank you for putting this together. This is amazing!
Musical score never gets old. Specially in and out of space dock. I hope we can eventually come together as one people globally and advance to at least these points. Forget all of the petty differences and embrace the similarities.
Be the united planet and people
明らかにミニチュアだったり絵だってわかってるのになぜこんなに心ときめくのだろう
People rag on TMP, but the drydock scenes are still some of the best spaceship glory shots out there. I remember my mom, who was lucky enough to see it when it originally came out, describing all the fan reactions from the audience during the reveal and departure sequences.
Even as a 90's/2000's kid I have to agree, the anticipation and shear amount of love for the ship there makes me hope our first interplanetary ships will get half as much love
Thanks for the video. Grew up watching Star Trek in the 60s and Years after. Like seeing and Old friend.
The Star Trek re-boot movies with Chris Pine may not be anywhere close to best written or acted Star Trek films, but it's definitely gotta be 1st place in terms of Enterprise scenes. Every scene with the Enterprise is always either stunningly beautiful, or badass enough to give you goosebumps.
I will never get tired of seeing the Enterprise
Makes me feel good to know that other people love the Enterprise as much as me.
Shame that we don't get the original enterprise to how it looked from the classic tv show for strange new worlds the inside looks stunning but as soon as we get the outside shots not so good to dark and gray to much panelling everywhere so hopefully we might get a more classic looking enterprise in season 3 but i doubt it. These people just like to ruin star trek i swear they have no idea what trek is and just like to put there own stamp on it without even trying to stay true to star trek they even now get actors playing kirk scotty uhura nurse chapel as they don't know how to do there own new all cast characters and what they have as a few new ones are not all that good
I've never really liked most of the aesthetics of the Kelvin timeline, and _Into Darkness_ is an unholy mess of a film, but it does have some fantastic visuals. The _Vengeance_ looks and sounds suitably terrifying, the _Enterprise_ rising from the ocean and the clouds is stunning, but my favourite moment is the _Enterprise_ effectively being knocked out of its own warp bubble. I can't remember seeing an effect like that in _Trek_ before or since.
I love the KT movies as action movies
Cool. The opening scene bring back memories of watching my first Star Trek movie in a movie theatre. Star Trek the Motion Picture if I am not mistaken.
Thanks for posting 🙂👍
I've seen mild criticism about the length of TMP's inspection sequence. But personally, it's my favorite Enterprise scene from both the movies and TV. I never get tired of seeing it.
Wow thank you so much for the one who made this scene of movie you're unbelievable great! 👍👍👍🙋♂️
The thumb nail . That shot of the enterprise rising through the clouds after we thought she was finished...Thats as Iconic an image of the Enterprise I've ever seen.
This is definatley a better recording of Star Trek movies beautifully edited and perfect and it is in 1080p resolution, sorry about your last recording no disrespect you are very good at your work, BRILLIANT.
24:28 "He's out of line but he's right."
Los clásicos con William Shatner, Picard y su nueva generación, Capitana Jeinway simplemente fantástica.... Todo un legado, los trekies.
I love how much bigger the Enterprise looks in the Kelvin timeline.
Because its filled to the brim with more advanced technology from the scans of the USS Kelvin to a ship that came from the future through a black hole
They needed to upscale the ship to fit those newer techs in since it would take time for technologies ahead of its time to match the current Star Fleet's industrial ship building capabilities
I....don't. It feels wrong for the original Constitution-class Enterprise to be about the same size as the E.
The beauty, the majesty, the solemnity, the grandeur ranging from 0.00 to 4.43 has never, never been equaled.
you can really see how CGI,VFX performance improve over time
Fun fact the don't have CGI back then. So they have to use a model of the ship and then filmed it
@Thomas McAulay CGI/VFX improving over time is not a matter of opinion, it's a fact.
It is a FACT that computers and softwares of 80s are not capable of a percent of processing power of those of 2010s
Just the music gives me hope, when so little in this world does. Godspeed, Enterprise!
Consider an update? NX-01, Enterprise G and ditch the Kelvin timeline. :D
ALL SHIP-PORN, ALL THE TIME. Thank you!
Still holds up today as realistic and epic. 44 years later!
That music crescendo when we see ENT-A for the first time at the end of IV, gets me every darn time :')
I like how in IV they just watch the ending of Star Trek 3 at the hearing.
Coming out of the water and out of the clouds was the ones that gave m chills,
The B in the Nexus looks great, but there were some awesome shots of the E in Nemesis
As an original Star Trek series fan, I'll always like the original Enterprise best, but.... it's hard to say that the refit Enterprise from the 70s and 80s isn't the most beautiful... great video!! Thanks for sharing!
It's funny, you go from absolute beauty and awe to all out destruction as you progress from the original to the last scene. I think that is what is missing nowadays...BEAUTY.
But the visuals is better.
For me the king of those shots is the Enterprise speeding towards the Mutara Nebula, full of tension and that majestic theme tune! Wow.
(32:15) In this Scene the Saucer-Section from the Galaxy looks similar a big "Cylon - Ship" from Battlestar 75
Have the Cylons built this??? 🤔
Thank you so much for the video editing guy you're so great!
33:47 this is where the fun begins
I love this video amazing work thank you for sharing 😊😊
Enterprise - E never got it's look quite right. The constantly changing deflector dish in particular.
Wow. First time seeing this. Great editing, that was a lot of work. Thank you.
“It IS the Enterprise” loved that bit.
In reality, it was the USS Ranger (CV-61). At the time of filming, the actual USS Enterprise (CVN-65) was out at sea and wasn’t available.
24:30 - Nice catch 😀
The classic Constitution Class Enterprise always is my favorite ship in Star Trek Movies.
thanks for the work of putting together the video. In high definition it is appreciated to see the details of majestic spaceships. Greetings from Spain in Madrid
Podrían poner todas las temporadas de viaje a las estrellas desde la primera temporada con el capitán Kirk y espob y todo su tripulación por RUclips en audio latino español de Perú gracias
Just beautiful!!!! Tears to my eyes..........
If God came down out of the sky right in front of me and asked me if I could live in any universe I chose, where would I go and he would send me. It would be here, on the Enterprise. If any film in all of film history ever gave me real hope for the future, it would be what *Gene* gave us.
Travelling matts were an innovation at the time but CGI has come such a long way. I love every iteration.
This was a great video, but, as I'm sure you already know, you did miss one Enterprise ship. The Enterprise-C, and they do have an episode where it showed up, "Yesterday's Enterprise". It was an Ambassador-Class starship, it looked similar to the Galaxy-Class but smaller.
Didn't show up in a movie so it wasn't counted here.
Excellent,, very very good,, congratulations and Thanks you very much...👏👏
I have to just say that the design of the Enterprise in J.J. Abrams films is absolutely stunning! Sad that the series ended, I kinda liked the alternate timeline stuff! But DAMN the Vengeance is a badass ship! The sound it makes in the movie is just awesome, also sad that we did not get a hero ship version of it...
I really love space fantasy. There are a lot of different beautiful spaceships in the films, but the Enterprise is the best.
Thank you.
I grew up with TOS. I'll always take the original Enterprise over every other iteration, hands down.
They nailed the combination of classic and modern on Strange New Worlds.
The ship has never looked better and is my new favorite version.
Similarly, except for me, it was the Enterprise-D.

@@berniethekiwidragon4382 The " D" ? Meh.
Even the refit constitution? That is by far my favorite version.
Damn Jeff you old asf💀
33:27-33:31 I'll be honest, I forgot that scene existed and it really shocked me when I was off guard.
I always had a problem with the scaling on the model. As they entered the side dock of the Enterprise, it seems as if people inside the shuttle should be one quarter their size. I mean that the Enterprise has over 400 crew members, tons of internal electrical, plumbing, motors, computers, weapons, engines, laboratories, and enough space to move colonists by the thousands. It's a multipurpose vessel.
CONGRATS!!!!Awesome compilation!!!!!!!!!
Disfrute de la serie y las películas . Y seguiré con las que vendrán. Sonrío cuando veo un celular de los que se abren....
53:48 No matter what your feelings about the Kelvin timeline are, you cannot deny the utter majesty and awesomeness of this shot.

Never noticed before, but at 3:01 a work bee leaves a hull panel unattached on the underside of the saucer and then the scene cuts to the ship exiting dock with the hull intact. Also at 9:56 it skipped the scene of Kirk standing in the airlock, which on my VHS copy they forgot the mat shot and you can clearly see he's on a set. At 12:57 that pesky loose hull panel is back.
Spock leaves the ship in an ev suit through that panel in TMP so my guess is it’s designed to retract for spacewalking purposes.
@@Shapes_Quality_Control Wrong panel, the open airlock both Spock and Kirk use is to the right, the loose panel is center line near the edge and can be seen floating separate from the ship.

I didn't like the ship designs of the Enterprise in 2009 onward but they did give her gravitas in the scenes when she was on screen. 1 through 6 she was always majestic when on screen. Generations did good by the D but the E just didn't seem to hold the same level of gravitas when on screen, especially in insurrection. The E is still a good and solid design and I do like her but I just don't think they fit her on camera right. First Contact probably did her the most justice.
With the Enterprise A, Im glad they designed a retracted looking forward sensor that glows. The other antenna thing looked dated.
What many do not know, in the search for spock, Scotty whilst doing all the wiring for the automation did something incredible, the enterprise became self aware not long before the auto destruct completed, knowing its history and its current mission and the circumstances it found itself in the enterprise made the decision to allow itself to be destroyed, so that enterprise was the first self aware artificial intelligence created by star Fleet that was integrated into a starship, something starlet ended up making illegal by the time discovery became self aware.
got a source for that?
