Easy answer to his challenge: Lakeland (FL) High School 2006: Pouncey twins, Chris Rainey, Ahmad Black, John Brown, and national champions in both 2005 and 2006. 15-0, 414 point differential (4 TDs / game winning margin).

They got extremely lucky in their '88 game against Permian when a ref let them keep a drive alive after one of their receivers more or less dribble-bounced a pass off the ground. They were BARELY better that that weakened Permian team. What they had was a bunch of barely coached mega-talent playing as individuals.

They had 21 D1 Scholarships, 8 played in NFL and another 6 would've made it as well if they didn't choose to rob people. I dont see a team having that many D1 Scholarships & pros, thats crazy

You are correct. That Houston Yates would have demolished this Carter team, they beat Permian team by 37 while this Carter team had to have an official call on a reception that CLEARLY bounced off the ground against a lesser Permian team than the one in 85.

Permian was ALWAYS out sized by every opponent back then, there may have been a couple players using but the program was not built on steroids. Southwest Dekalb '89 would drag these boys and they didn't win the State title that year. Valdosta did. I wasn't impressed by Dallas Carter. They were decent. Jess Lanier 1990 would beat Dallas Carter...Vigor won the National title that year. Southwest '89 sent 33 kids to college. Stop it!!!!!
