I grew up in NY and I was a huge LT fan. The giants were the first time I remember being a fan of as a kid. I used to love watching them play on Sunday.
The only other players I saw play with around his level of tenacity consistently at a high level was Ray Lewis, maybe Brian Dawkins with those early 2000’s philly teams. Those are just two that jump to my mind when I think defense. On offense even though he wasn’t an all time great I thought Steve Smith played WR in the same spirit LT and those other guys I mentioned played defense. All dogs
Saw Eric Dickerson play in Angel Stadium many times. Thing about him was that at 3 steps he was at full speed and man he was fast. Big, fast, powerful.
I am 80 years old, white woman who has always, always loved/loves football. This is early 80's, no streaming, watch whatever games are being played. Giants vs who knows. I see LT for the 1st time. Never had I seen Man that big move so fast in all my years of watching football. Gotta be a one off, no one that big and strong can move that fast. LT could and did. Thank you Mr. Taylor, for all the games I watched you play in. See Joe Montana and the 9ers was number 1, cause I love Joe, watching LT was number 2. Strange thing, except for Stabler and the Raiders never was a team person. I always went for a person on a team and they were mine. Today, I love Pat Mahomes, he is just such a mover. Brady had a good arm, won a lot of Superbowls, just don't know why I don't like him.
It still blows me away the Los Angeles Rams trading Eric Dickerson. I never understood that. When they played in the 1989 NFC championship Dickerson was their missing peace I truly believe they would’ve gone to the Super Bowl.
Well, he definitely would've helped, but nobody was beating the 49ers (17-2) that year. That was a bad ass crew. Defeated MIN 41-13, LAR 30-3, and DEN 55-10.
Mark rypien once said hed get nervous when they(redskins) had to play the giants.hed get sick to his stomach with anxiety. He said LT once told him hed rip his head off and that he was dead man. LT struck fear in his opponents and he backed it up nearly every play.

I saw some of the Giants / Rams playoff game where LT was a heat seeking missle going after Dickerson. Maniac.
Like everything, The NFL’s pinnacle was the 1980’s!
Lions fan here and LT was without question, the greatest defensive player ever!
Whatever amount of respect due to Barry, so be it. But when it comes to running backs this is my dude right here.
One legend talking about another legend. You have to love it. LT was terrifying.
Aww man this shit got my stomach hurting 😂😂😂😂😂
The only other players I saw play with around his level of tenacity consistently at a high level was Ray Lewis, maybe Brian Dawkins with those early 2000’s philly teams. Those are just two that jump to my mind when I think defense. On offense even though he wasn’t an all time great I thought Steve Smith played WR in the same spirit LT and those other guys I mentioned played defense. All dogs

"He was that good"....Great story
Lt got through the line everytime
"And it's my birthday!" 😂
ED made a wise business decision. Lol
hahaha definitely did!
Lawrence Taylor was the greatest player I ever saw. Period
LT was and is the greatest football player ever.
LT could dominate any era in football 🏈 Greatest Linebacker Of All Time
ED had arguably the best rookie season of all time!
LT had a little boost every game. ❄️
Mark rypien once said hed get nervous when they(redskins) had to play the giants.hed get sick to his stomach with anxiety. He said LT once told him hed rip his head off and that he was dead man. LT struck fear in his opponents and he backed it up nearly every play.
'LT is one of the few guys who says "I'm gonna kill you" on a football field and you actually think he might do it
Man I love all the conversations on here ….Look any kid with any speed wanted to be Eric Dickerson … The deal is and he probably doesn’t give a shit because I wouldn’t either …. But he ran like no other … I am. Bo Jackson fan as well as a John Riggins fan …… But I promise you … no one ran like Eric man …. Love the guy for the work …. Thank you for the show man
"Eric! Hey man NO!" 😅😅😅😅
Lol he’s still nervous talking about it after all these years.
Real Football 🏈🏈
A lot of people do not know but
Eric Dickerson's nickname is
The Pony Express SMU 🐎🐎🐎
My number one running back mr calm cool perfection a real true gentle man.
91 yards on 31 carries. He made him work for it.
Eric Dickerson and Craig James..."The pony express." 🔥🔥🔥🔥
LT was an absolute beast!!
And there probably wasn’t but their probably a few I might though out their Wilber Marshall being one of them.
Man LT was scary in any given Sunday
I have never seen a better player than Lawrence Taylor, regardless of position.
