My sister Freda Martin played Mrs. Evan's, Derek Evan's mother. She lost her battle with cancer yesterday 11-30-2020. She was only 48 years old. Please pray for my family. We are devastated. Freda was a vital part of our family.

I finished watching this movie and it was very emotional. It was sad but at the same time, every action comes with consequences. This should be an eye opener for everyone.
Feel really bad for these boys they were going to play football in college but then they screwed up. That would’ve been really cool for them to play in college and they could’ve possibly been in the NFL. Felt really bad for there moms as well.
They shouldn’t never robbed they know better than that, they lost their football scholarship they should’ve had their brain set & focus on their football scholarships, & don’t do the crime if u can’t take the time, sides this a good movie.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes!! Jesse Armstead didn't fall into the BS they did, they could've done the same. Glad they got out and understood the ramifications of their actions and not become career criminals!!
You live and you learn. These crimes was senseless as well as selfish and they have learn what they did was totally wrong and now they have to live with it for the rest of their lives, mentally and physically!
Not a sad movie. Those boys knew what they were doing and did it! A bunch of talented kids. And they didn’t give af. Threw their lives away for nothing!
Final Form Jam Wow! that first guy was sentenced to 80 years in prison,That second guy was sentenced to 48 Years in prison and they last one got 100 years in prison?!
This is how you know the justice system is fucked up 4 20,14 and 13 year sentences just for some armed robberies the correct sentencing should have been 7 or 8
You know the difference between consecutive and concurrent? No one got 100, 80, or 50+ years. The sentences were concurrent. Armed robbery is a serious crime. These sentences were reasonable.
Jessie Armstead has been involved with the New York Giants front office even after he retired. He didn't win the Super Bowl as a player but he does have 2 Super Bowl rings as a member of the Giants front office. The guys that did get locked up are doing well for themselves now but they could've been off to bigger and better things
About a year before the robberies, Jessie Armstead was caught shoplifting and his mother was very upset at what happened. Jessie promised to his mother that he would never hurt her like that ever again
Good movie I love ❤️ Jessie he’s my number 1 person on there he’s the only person who didn’t robbed & didn’t go 2 jail he was on parole 4 stealing a $15 t shirt he gave his word 2 his folks that he’ll never steal again, he worked hard by keeping his brain focus by not losing his college football scholarship & going 2 the NFL Pros he’s which was he’s the only person on there he went 2 college & made it 2 the NFL he was the only person who was rich & famous on there.
I cried when I watched the movie. 1. I Feel like their sentences were too harsh. Should they have been punished? Yeah, but not to that extreme. 4 20 year terms? And 2. I really felt bad for them. They basically ruined their lives trying to be greedy.
Jim Dandy i don‘t think you understood the that process yes the highest was 25 years but after he server the 25 he had to do 3 more 25s on that times they pretty much got life in prison. ya they deserved to be punish due fact they dod more robberies than bonnie and clyde but he could just gave them 1 sentence a piece not multiple..
I’m confused everyone else gets sentencing for crimes except Campbell the judge said he is scared of him also why did they get stripped of their championship
At least none them did no more than 10 years in prison they got out in less than 10 years they should have gotten sentenced to the US Military with the Desert Storm approaching
I hate them 6 football players that went 2 Jail they know better than 2 Rob they blew they’re money gambling, Jesse my 1st Person on there he’s the only person that didn’t rob & didn’t go 2 jail he’s on probation 4 stealing a $15 t shirt sides he had his brain focus on the real world 🌎 he worked hard on going 2 college on a football scholarship & the NFL he made both, he’s the only person that was rich & famous on there I’m the same as him I would’ve worked 4 the money instead of robbing it hard work 😓 pays off.
I just don’t agree with them being released from prison, I’m sorry but I don’t. They committed a series of serious offenses. Terrified hard working people who work hard for what they have. Them being released is like saying it was ok for what they did. Sorry but I don’t agree with all their releases. Like the old saying goes if you can’t serve the time then don’t do the crime. I’m a hard working American who provides for his family with an honest days hard work. I put in 14 to 16 hr days 7 days a week for 3 weeks. I’m home with my family for only 3 days a month then I’m gone again. But these guys gotta go out and rob people for what they have worked so hard for. It’s wrong and I don’t agree. They should all still be in there
i dont really feel that sorry for them. its not like they got high or drunk one night and went out and did something stupid. this was 21 robberies over 6 months. jail time was certainly warranted.
Should of gave them more time and made an example out of them. Gotta scare people from wanting to rob other people because it will be a light sentence if I get caught.
THIS MOVIE REALLY TEACHES YOU MAKING THE RIGHT DECISIONS, JUST LIKE ARMSTEAD DID. I REALLY HATE THAT THE PRAYERS GOT TO ROBBING PEOPLE INSTEAD OF GETTING A JOB. IT WAS VERY EMOTIONAL AT THE END. I JUST COULDN'T WATCH IT ANYMORE. AND LESSON WAS DON'T JEOPARDIZE YOUR FUTURE BY DOING SOMETHING CRAZY AND MAKING BAD DECISIONS.
Yeah...you heard the illiterate fuckwit who might have a GED, but I doubt it ...STFU! How dare you say that a man who went through years of college, took a law school admission test, earned a Juris Doctorate passed the bar, and earned his judgeship is a hero? And the utter audacity of that Judge to send a strong message to a bunch of ignorant punks whose only real regret is that they got caught and sentenced to serve time. You know, come to think of it ... THAT JUDGE IS A HERO!
I saw the movie. I was so touched by it. And I was hurt for the players. Me, I am an NFL fan. And I feel that the NFL could've been different if these guys had done what Jesse Armstead did and said no to ever committing these crimes. Again I was hurt for them. But I am also a man who's been mugged twice. It could've been even more if I hadn't learned signed to look when I am out and about especially at night. My wish is that society would do a much better job at helping black young men not commit the crimes at all giving white judges a chance to sentence them to hard time in prison. Glad that they real life guys are out and doing well.

I saw the end with my family and we all gasped when he mentioned that they did worse than bonnie and clyde
But the didnt kill nobody, tho.
@@deloraevans Didn’t say they did “worse than Bonnie and Clyde”. His statement was that they committed MORE individual armed robberies which is true.
Fresh outta high school and now you going to jail. They brought it on themselves.

Of course. I knew it wouldn't take long to see comments about the harsh sentencing from the white judge.
And they deserved every bit of what they were sentenced to!
They got light sentences in real life
I tip my hat to Jessie Armstead. He went on to have good career in NFL cause he chose not to jump off bridge like his other teammates.
