I spend two hours decorating a bedroom when my sims age up so its not hard😂
Challenge concept: Simsie makes a little house the way she likes it, uses her favorite swatch for every item she wants, makes it nice and cohesive. Then when it’s finished, chaos mode kicks in. For every item, she must then go in and change the swatch either to her least favorite or to a randomized number swatch. Let the crazy colors and weird combinations unfold! There could be a before/after tour, or the whole thing could be built duplex style, with the two versions existing side-by-side. Enjoy!
Or she builds completely in black im white. Like the cas challenge but in build mode
great idea but it would take so long to go back and change eVerything
I like this idea. It shows first what you want, an then you get to see you favorite items go from yay to ney.
But who knows it still gets to be coherent in its look, just in a vibe you would normally not build in. That or its gonna look like an EA original build 😂

The 'glass' stovetop from dream home decorator can be used as a counter. Your sim will prepare food on it like a counter top and then cook on it like a stove. It's pretty cool for tiny spaced

Yeah, you can't use both that and an in counter oven I don't think, but the countertop oven does slot to the minifridge like the microwave does IIRC and that'd be a better use of that slot, and cheaper too. If it's just the oven that can't go on the same counter as a stovetop, you could even fit a dishwasher.
Ooh challenge idea - attempt to make money through the food stand, using a kitchen this size and a similar sized overall home. Prove you don't need the fancy kitchen stuff and a home chef using a barely adequate kitchen can still get by.
I mean this makes sense because I use my glass top in real life as counter space when I’m not using it as a stove top 😂😂 and yes we have had a few melted items along the way but it’s fine

if you use the dream home decorator stovetop and oven on the same counter, your sim will also cook/prepare the food and serve it there! you can have a whole kitchen with just a fridge and one counter!
I think putting a curtain in front of the bathroom area would have been cute and it should still be functional, though I don't know if there are any that fit for that unconventional size
I came to say this. I think a curtain would work well there. Or even a pulled back one so it looks like you could drop the curtain in if needed.

I was in South Korea this summer, and the bathroom in my hotel room looked exactly like this, the only difference is that it was walled off with a glass divider. But yeah, 1x1 room, shower over the sink, toilet AND towel rack in the same space. I was like WOW this is the sims tiny bathroom in real life! (the towerls and toilet paper did get wet though)
I usually get gloomy/ sad during fall but watching Kayla's videos every evening never fails to cheer me up. And her tiny builds are my all time favourite :)

I second this! Sun lamp has been a life saver for me! And most of them are pretty affordable
One time I built 4 houses in this lot. Called it Mid-Nowhere Village. Technically I think each of the houses even functioned!
usually, having the little black kittens running around the background is already the best thing ever but now that's October?? it's just perfect
As a side note, you can scale down sinks and the continue to work, the animations are just a little odd, but it looks better. I sometimes scale the items down with TOOL so they are only a little smaller and fir better visually.
I love how it looks like it could be a hermit's hut? Imagine turning the nearby lots into recreation areas or smth and the sim living in the cabin is a softhearted person who decided to leave civilisation to live in the middle of the forest?
when u said “i can’t fit three sims in here” about the 3x3, what if you did a building challenge where the size of the house is how many sims you have to fit into it. so it can’t be super tiny but the bigger it gets the more sims you have to try and squish into the house.

If you put the electric stovetop from dream home decorator onto a counter with an oven, it functions as a countertop, stovetop, and oven all in one!! 👍👍

I always love how when you make a build with “only the necessities” you put a sink even though it’s not actually necessary. My completely normal builds never include a sink in any room to avoid excessive water intake
I get SO ANNOYED when I'm doing a money challenge and they keep washing their dishes instead of in the garbage, especially if I have the one that sells garbage.

I always wonder if folks download these. I remember you were worried that no one would download your horse head house but it was perfect in Granite Falls (if not totally functional without a little help 🤷♀️)

I loved this! I feel like the space in the living room might have been better utilized if you put a desk under the bed, fitted a wall-mounted TV beside it and a laptop on it, all of which also provides a place for the sim to eat, as well! But genuinely love this place - I’d live there!! Beautiful work! ❤️

i always blend my pathways at the end so it doesn’t look so out of place
like you can see there’s a pathway but it blends into the environment and isnt weird :D

Simsie, I don’t know if you’ve done it before but Vixella just did a challenge I think you’d crush.
You can only pick one item from a pack and you can reuse that item as much as you want, but you can’t use any other items from that pack.
It is way, way harder than it sounds. But I know you’re good at strategizing when you do challenges to find the best way to go about things.
I'm soooo impressed! I would have rather had this tiny room arrangement instead of sharing with my 2nd year roommate lol. Has anyone contacted you to architect anything in real life? These are amazing designs!

Cat traps are so funny. Place a circle on the ground with made of anything (cable, clothes) and guarantee a cat will sit there. Even if you don't own a cat.

Seeing the kitties in the background was amazing. I have a black cat with a white splotch on her chest. But her fur is actually just such a dark brown it looks black. This actually makes her absolutely perfect for pictures. She is so photogenic.

I have an idea for you!!!! Rags to riches style kind of. You start with a house shell with just the necessities in it. You have a scientist sim, and the only way you can furnish your house is by transforming collectibles, crystals, metals, etc. and you HAVE to use it as decor of some sort. @lilsimsie

If you use the stove top from Dream Home Decorator your sims can still use the same surface as counter top!
This way your sims can cook all recipiente available and you won’t loose the counter top necessary for cooking 👌

I think u should've put all the kitchen stuff as in the oven/ counter, the mini fridge and the microwave under the bunk bed just so u could've had more room for everything else
