That was my fathers favorite, banana pudding. And he loved peanut butter. So years ago one of my sisters used Crunched up Nutter Butter Peanut Butter cookies instead of vanilla wafers in her banana pudding and my dad asked her to make that dish for at least 40 years. 😀

Hi Phyllis! Try whipping your heavy cream BEFORE you add the sugar and vanilla with the whisk attachment. The object is to whip air into your cream to whip it to fluffy stage. Sugar first. At the end add the vanilla. I'm not sure why but I think the alcohol in the vanilla hampers it's fluffy stage. Personally, I use a big whisk by hand in glass bowl and I whip the heck out of my cream to get air incorporated into the cream. My brother said beat it harder! We don't mind the noise! Love your channel, recipes, stories. God bless you and Mr. Bucky.

A little tip when you're mixing the ingredients for the pudding, add the sugar and flour and then add your egg yolks with about a half cup of milk first. It's so much easier to get the eggs incorporated with less liquid. When it's nice and creamy smooth; add the rest of the milk.

I've had an Immersion blender for years. I really love it alot. Does a great job and easy peasy cleanup. Also great for whipping mash potatoes. Makes them really fluffy. Thank you for this wonderful creative recipe. Have you ever made banana croquettes. Bananas, chopped peanuts, mayonnaise. Cut banana into thirds. Spread thoughly each banana with mayonnaise. Then roll each banana in chopped peanuts until thoughly covered. Chill until nice and cold. So delicious and very nice dessert. Bananas will begin to darken after a few days n refrigerator. So best to make while bananas not darkened.

I ate two big pieces of your pineapple sheet cake instead of supper. Happy mouth, heavy tummy. But thanks so much, it was so yummy.
I am not a big fan of bananas because I prefer them green. But put mostly frozen bananas in food processor with vanilla bean seeds and homemade whipped cream. Then serve with homemade caramel sauce. Game changer.
Many of Ball's widemouth canning jars are perfect vessels for making whipped cream .
I got burnt out on graham crackers, nilla wafers and Oreo cookies. I'm all about homemade shortbread cookies now . Sometimes with pecans.
I want to make your tartlet recipe and fill them with this pudding. Eat warm.

The butter cookies is a terrific idea! (& also whoever suggested Pecan Sandies) I also think you are brilliant to come up with the tall glass mug to whip
cream in! I always would put my bowl AND beaters in the freezer so maybe putting the emulsion attachment in there too would make it quicker to thicken.
I am on the lookout for a tall glass mug now. YES using a bowl/mixer makes a mess! Thanks! I have a Cuisinart emulsion blender.

Need to find those little butter cookies, Phyllis. I remember eating them as a young girl. Great alternative to the vanilla wafer I usually use. Two videos in one evening, terrific...and thank you so much! Xoxo

I never thought to use my immersion blender for whipping cream. Thank you for the idea. Also, Girl Scout Cookies, the Trefoils, are a buttery shortbread cookie. I'm also going to try the peanut butter cookie idea.
