My you are an amazing and talented cook! I admire you so very much! Your sweet spirit comes across and hugs our souls. We are so blessed to be touched by you and by the late Mr Bucky. These pot pies look delicious! I would always get the pot pies from the vending machines in our high school for lunch. They were my favorite. Occasionally I get the Marie Callendar pot pies in the winter. I will have to try out your recipe. I was thinking that a little ground nutmeg and a few frozen peas could kick it to another level. I love to watch you cook and listen to your stories. I was born in the early 60’s and so much of what you share about games, products, society as a whole I can relate to. Thank you for your ministry and for making us all feel like you are a part of our family. God Bless you! Our love and prayers are with you!🕊🦋😘🥰
I Love your mother!!! I have P.T.S.D. from childhood trauma and when I am stressed I watch her. She has such a soothing voice that relaxes me. Phyllis is very methodical and explanatory. She was a nurturing mother. May she get her rest until we see her again. John 5:28 🥰💞🐇🦝
I still visit your channel just to hear your sweet voice. You are missed dearly. Thank you for all the joy you brought to me and so many others. God rest your soul. 💔❤💔
👍Thank you. 😢😭I’m sitting here in tears watching this because here you are feeling fine in January in within a few months your health goes downhill fast and Mr. Bucky passes away. I will always cherish you, Me. Bucky and the people I love. Please let us know how you’re doing. 🤗💞🤗
Your like the mom or older sister that I never had that teaches you to cook!! I love watching you cook and cooking with you and I love the love ❤️ and stories behind your recipes.
Glad to see you again Miss Phyllis, missed you! You & Mr. Buckley are always in my prayers (and your fur babies too). You are such an uplifting lady with a real gift for sharing practical living advise & lots of really good recipes too! Please give my regards to Mr. B ... y'all are such a precious couple. May the Lord bless both of you with many, many more happy years together. ✨🙏✨
There are lots of great comfort foods out there, and chicken pot pie is one of my favorites! I'm sure I speak for many when I say your gentle Southern hospitality and wonderful recipes takes us back to fond memories of our Grandmother's kitchen. Could you do a video sometime on the lost art of making homemade noodles? My mother made them when I was very young but, like most moms in that era, ended up buying the boxed variety at the grocery. Nothing quite compares with the taste of homemade noodles. An Amish lady once told me that the best noodle are made with duck eggs because they have a richer yolk. I don't know if that's true but Amish noodles are the closest thing I've found to homemade.
Everyone who loves to cook should be watching Ms Phyllis videos. I made her pineapple upside down cake for Christmas, and boy was it a hit! Everything Ms Phyllis made is just fabulous.
I really missed you too. But I certainly can understand. I am so thankful for everything you have done for the audience out here, young and old.. God bless you and Mr. Buckey...
I just love your home cooking it was just like my momma^s God rest heart sweet soul lost her when I was only 18 and wish I had spent more time learning instead of hang with my friends now that I’m 54 sooo many things I wish I had taken the time to make thous beautiful memories. So many youth take for granted til it’s just to late but Thankyou for the lessons it turned out amazing and my families stomachs thank you too heeee
Miss Phyllis, I was so sorry to hear you have been sick. I really enjoy your videos (they are much better than anything on TV). One little trick that might help out if you don't feel like spending a lot of time in the kitchen is Keystone canned chicken. It only has chicken & sea salt. You can find it at Walmart or Walmart com. I found out by accident how good it was...I had bought a couple of cans in case the power went out a few years ago. It is so easy when you don't feel like spending a lot of time in the kitchen. They have other canned meats also. I am praying for you and Mr. Bucky and your two little dogs. I hope you recover quickly from your surgery. Get well soon!
Ms. Stokes you must be so missed by so many, I can just imagine how the poor dogs' hearts ache for you, as well as those of your friends and family. As your subscriber I felt I lost a friend. If heaven exists, you are surely there among the angels.
great stuff as always...I would suggest mixing the chicken and veggies right in the pan with the sauce, then you don't have to worry about portion control and you can taste it and add the extra seasoning to the whole batch before making the individual pies much easier than trying to mix the ingredients in those small bowls.
Mz. Phillis: So glad to see you are back! My mama (who has no idea about technology) and she has been in the hospital since before Christmas asked me today "what has Mz Phillis been cooking?". Tomorrow I will tell her pot pies. Thank you, Sarah
These little chicken pot pies look amazing. I love watching the process to make them. I’ve never made my own chicken pot pies before but I think I’ll give them a try. You’re really good at making comfort food that is very nutritious and healthy! I love seeing people taking such good care of their dogs. Steely and Sunny sure are lucky to have a mom who cooks them chicken.😊 🍗❤️
I am so happy that you have returned!!! I didn’t notice your video from yesterday until today so this is like a double features, a real treat! Don’t ever leave us in a lurch like that again... it’s too painful.
Definately a super treat having her back!! Really have missed Phyllis, Mr. Bucky and those sweet adorable furbabies !! No one like them, they're just the best !
Hi Mrs. Phyllis. Congratulations on over 100,000 subscribers. Don't forget to apply for the Silver Creators Award from RUclips . You deserve it. I love your channel. Love from Texas
I tried both of these recipes!!! My dog loved the chicken cups such a great idea!! And the pot pies were so good!! My 83 year old father loved it!! Love your channel and welcome back!! Thank you Phyllis

I'm very grateful 1st video that's to the exact delicious indeed. I have followed other videos & have had to throw away alot of food but with her it's to the exact amount & all. Thank u so kindly ma'am I'm very grateful ur awesome 😊❤oh my creamy yummy. Oh wow perfect
This is one of my husband's favorites. I make mine double crust. If I have leftover gravy I'll add that to the sauce. If not I add a little chicken bouillon granules. These are quite popular after Thanksgiving, lol!
These pot pies look so delicious!!! And thanks for mentioning the use of Tarragon!! I will try this with the pot pies. Thanks for sharing!!!😁 God bless and keep you!!!😀💕💕💕
What a sweet meal! I can't wait to make these! I haven't had chicken pot pies in about 10 years. I am allergic to potatoes and celery, so I will substitute yucca or rutabagas for the potato and maybe figure something out to replace the celery, or just omit it. I love tarragon. ❤ Thanks for sharing!
Great instructions for the chicken in the Instant Pot. I got one for Christmas and have enjoyed it so much. This pot pie looks delicious and will be worth the time and effort to have some freezer meals. And let me just say.....Tarragon.....today is the day!
Hi Phyllis , I made my poodles food too. I mixed the meat with vegetables beans broccoli carrots etc. My little girl loved salads. Their grandparents (breeders) fed their mothers a diet rich in vegetables. I think thats why they loved veggies too.
Ive had my Instapot and I'm loving it!! I'm gonna make stuffed bell peppers and Lil porkie pine balls( left over meat bc my granddaughter is coming and she only likes the meat lol) So Next I'm gonna make these chicken pot pies... I usually make a quick one with canned chicken or left over chicken, can cream chicken soup, can veg all... add salt n pepper n mix in a bowl... then add to a deep dish pie shell and cover the top with another pie shell and poke holes in it .... cook about 45 mins to an hour , depending on your oven ..... But my husband loves it and my kids always did! It was something easy I made alot when I worked.... But you know me Ms.Phyllis~ I've gotta try yours!! I'm thrilled to see my favorite lady back doing video's.....your just the kindness person, with the most calming voice that I enjoy listening to and feel like I've known you for year's!! Thanks for taking time to teach us remind us and simply being just you! Your a true blessing in my LIFE!!
Yesss Tarragon goes Great 👍 with chicken.... my sister got us other 2 sister's using it esep with Chicken! IT surely kicks it up a notch! mmmm good !! Your mini pot pies look delicious 😋 😋
I love the idea of freezing the chicken in the muffin pans for the dogs. The pot pies look very tasty and simple to make. Wonderful for this cold spell we are having now. I also like the idea of the Pyrex bowls as they can be used for so many things. Thank You
Hi....all looks yummers....nice idea to make individual pies & using the pie crusts, another great idea...you ARE so frugal, for sure!!! LOVE the sound of the clock...comforting....the boys surely love their mama cooking special for them, they know good smells...lol
Gracious Phyllis, God Bless You and your Family. We'll miss you, but, your reunion with Mr. Buckey your joint destiny. Real Love is like that...and both of you the epitamy of same for so many. I will miss you, thank you for sharing your happiness with so many.
This looks SOOOOO good, yum! I think it'd be a great recipe for my elderly (86 & 87) parents for whom I'm caretaking, because I need to get more protein into them and that sauce looks like the rich, tasty trick that would do it. Also, I wonder if you've ever done a video for the recipe with chicken that you make for your dogs? Ages ago when I was a kid, my grandmother had the cutest and sweetest little poodle she named "Mouse". My gram would spoil her with chicken and rice or sometimes ground beef and rice with some kind of sauce, and afterward she'd crawl up in your lap, flip over on her back and expect a tummy rub. I don't think Mouse ever had regular store-bought dog food, but she was a sweet little dog and always wanted to cuddle. 😊😊😊
This looks fantastic, in my little town the stores have been selling "off brands of chicken" I never heard of before, and chicken thighs in the family size are not always available, guess I can use what is available. Thank you for a yummy dish! NICE TO SEE SUNNY! Hope all is well with steely and dear Mr.Bucky and you also, have a blessed day!!!
I am so glad to see how you make the dog's chicken. Very smart and convenient. My puppies will be so pleased. Like the pie too! C from the little cottage in Ireland 🍀🍀🍀
My favorite! Looks like a super easy recipe...can’t wait to try it! Thank you for sharing another awesome recipe with us! Lots of love and hugs to your pups❤️🐶❤️🐶
I once made Thanksgiving dinner for the whole family when I first got my first house. I wanted to do my own take on my mom's dressing, so I researched spices and things and experimented. I settled on one with tarragon & almonds and brought it out calling it Tarragon Almondine Dressing! I loved it and so did the females in the family - the men weren't so impressed. They wanted the "regular" dressing. But I thought I would share it here, because of the tarragon. Mom's dressing really had no amounts listed because she just used "what looked right" to her. And so it varied in taste from year to year. But it basically consisted of a pan of cornbread - (usually made with a little sugar added) a large chopped onion, can of chicken broth, a few chopped boiled eggs, plenty of powdered sage, and salt and pepper to taste. So I began with that, but I added one can of chicken and rice soup (today I would just cook a cup of rice and use that), a cup of blanched, toasted & slivered almonds, and several teaspoons of tarragon leaves. Bake @350 for 30-40 minutes, top with a scattering of the almonds. As always, when reworking a recipe for stuffing it dressing, you have to get the balance of wet to dry ingredients right as to how you want it. Tarragon is a wonderful spice or herb or whatever it is. I don't think I would like it every day, but you tend to forget to use the things like that after a while.
We cook chicken for our dogs in the Instant Pot too!! We stopped giving them dry dog food with it because they just don't like it soggy. So we use white rice. They love it! We keep the dry out in a separate dog dish and they like it that way.
I adore chicken pot pies. And especially in the winter months. Great idea for individual pies. I like those pre-made pie crust too. I've also added the frozen packages of cauliflower and broccoli medley instead of mix vegetables to my chicken pot pie for a variety. It really was delicious. I'm definitely going to try your yummy looking chicken pot pie recipe too. God Bless you for sharing. Love Tamson
Hi Ms Phyllis! I picked up a package of chicken thighs today. I've "inherited" a dog and another cat after a friend of the family passed away suddenly. I'm going to try preparing the chicken & broth as you do for Steely & Sunny and see how this lil' dog likes it. My crew enjoys a good chicken pot pie so will give your recipe a try, too. Thanks for another video & the recipes, Ms Phyllis!
These little pot pies look so yummy! Tarragon is such a lovely herb, I grow it in my herb garden as it’s a favourite of mine, I even put it with my roasted veggies, yum😊
Going to get tarragon tomorrow, per your suggestion, Phyliss. You may remember that I have a miniature poodle, a rescue named Rudy...he’s apricot colored, and spoiled rotten. My brother in law (a veterinarian) told me to fry up lean ground turkey, and equal parts of rice, unseasoned of course. I make that up, and then place about a half a cup in a qt. freezer bag, and freeze them...every morning for breakfast, I heat Rudy’s little bag up in the microwave. When we eat breakfast, he barks, and waits for his too! Lol. 💙💙💙
c annett good day to you. I’m sorry you couldn’t see the rest of my comment. I wrote that I place about a half cup...sometimes more, into a quart sized freezer bag. Every morning I take one out of the freezer, place it in the microwave for about one minute. Rudy poodle, eats his breakfast along with us...lol. I hope this helps, if not, let me know and I can repeat the entire comment. My best to you!
Cindy do you buy the turkey breast and grind it yourself or do you buy it Pre ground in the styrofoam packs? Do you ever add veggies or any supplements like calcium? does Rudy get regular dog food at dinnertime? Thanks. The subject fascinates me.
Geez...just watching you pour the sauce/gravy into the bowls...made my imagination smell and wish I could taste it. Will have to make these. I wonder if canned milk will work as well as the half and half? I plan to use that. I used it in your recipe for the cabbage and potatoes and it came out ok. Kudos to you, Phyllis for your skill and judgement as to how much to make to fill the bowls exactly and to know how to cut the pie crust just so it fits. BTW...I do the same with chicken thighs, bone in, skin on. Some for me, some for my dogs (2 of them).
I made this and it is DELICIOUS!! Definitely will be making it many more times! My first time using tarragon leaves, I’ve tasted this before and didn’t know what it was! Lol love your videos!
I am going to get me one of those instant pots yet, mainly because my kiddos years ago threw out my large stainless steel pressure pot, I only have the small part left; the large would hold a whole chicken...... What a cute way to make pot pies!!!!!
Great job Phyllis!! You always make the best recipes. Thank you for sharing and all the tips you also give while cooking.------Tressa Daigle Have a great weekend!
Really nice pies and they make a beautiful meal! I often take leftovers from the week and turn the meat and veggies into a pot pie. I actually make a huge one for the whole family with a bottom crust too. That's a great idea though; my boys would probably love to have their own individual pie. Buying the crust already made would help me on busy days too. Thanks!
I watched a video that gave hint to use the spoon that came with the instant pot, the one that has a hole in the handle and use that to unseal the vent (use the hole on the handle). I haven't tried the hint yet but plan too as I'm wary about burning myself from the steam the next time using the instant pot .
Deb from Idaho Miss you so much, Miss Phyllis, hope you are healing well and fast. Bless you!! And Mr. Bucky, please take care of yourself, order in some extra help please, if you need to. Love you both!
Yum...... Is it wrong of me to wish I was your neighbor? I am in awe of how many diverse meals you make. Mr. Bucky is one lucky husband! I really enjoy your videos... especially the retro recipes you make.
Miss Phyllis I just had to leave you another comment, I made the pumpkin cake today that you left a link to. You got me at the a piece would be good with a cup coffee hahaha! This cake is so delicious. I am really glad I baked it. As always thanks sooo much!
I Love homemade chicken potpie's! Never thought to put Tarragon in them... will be a first for me. I had roasted potato's/carrots celery/red pepper and roasted chicken breast for my dinner tonight... :-) Miss Phyllis in just a bit you'll be at 100k on subscribers :-) Everyone's being blessed by your channel!!! Much Love!! Bless!!
along about the time I think I can't think of anything I want to eat, up pops a video you've done with something that looks and sounds yummy! Do you also have a recipe for a beef pot pie? Those are my first favorite pot pie and I'd love to know how to make them.
Since watching your videos, I’ve learned how to cook all kinds of things. This looks delicious! Thank you for your efforts in making and posting videos. 😊💕 Peace to you Miss Phyllis... 🙏🌹🕊
I feed chicken to my dogs too like this :D i suggest adding some veggies in for them too! My dogs love boiled carrots, squash, the hard pieces of broccoli or cabbage (even carrot skins and potato skins because thats where all the nutrients are) mixed in with their food
I have mixed in a few peas and carrots and found out pretty quick that both poodles love the Italian green beans. I wish they like sweet potatoes but so far they simple leave them in their bowls.
Glad you are back, hope you enjoyed the time off. Instead of half and half, could I use the chicken broth to make the sauce? Also, could I use puff pastry instead of pie crust? And would an egg wash make the crust brown better? Thanks for your suggestions.
Oh this looks so good. I am going to make some of these. I live alone and don't always want to cook so i bake ahead and freeze things i really like your videos.thank you
Oh yum, Phyllis!! Thanks for sharing your recipe! Your dogs are spoiled (so is mine)! There is something so comforting about chicken pot pies, especially homemade ❤ we've been sick this past week and I'd really love to have these on hand. Take care!
When u had your break i missed your videos so i watched some of your older ones. I loved the garden ones with the planting and the tidying. Do you think you will do any more like that ? ☺

I got the Terragon - I love it and I could not describe the taste. I put it on rice and beans. I expect it will go on anything.
That is twice this week someone said tarragon. I must get some!
I got to try that , thank you
I once made Thanksgiving dinner for the whole family when I first got my first house.
Love Tamson
I’ve been planning to make chicken pot pies this weekend. Now I can’t wait. I add frozen green peas to mine.
I like that you always share great ideas -- using the towel to absorb the steam is brilliant and I will do that in the future. God bless you.
I just want to thank you for making me hungry every night when I scroll through my suggested videos and there is another yummy recipe you made.🙁
That looks so lovely! You are such a good homemaker and teacher! I love the way you take such care with every little detail! 💛
Oh my gosh your chicken pot pies look delicious! You remind me of my mom. I miss her. *sniffles*
Me too 😔
Fab4Gal I miss my MOMMA too . This world is a ‘different place’ with out MOM 💔
Lol. 💙💙💙
Cindy, they cut off your commit on the 4th line. Please tell me the rest of the ingredients. Starting at qt. C from Ireland
c annett good day to you.
Thank you so much. C from the little cottage in Ireland
Thank you, Cindy. C from the little cottage in Ireland 🍀🍀🍀
We LOVE chicken pot pie!! Will definitely try! Yum!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yum, definitely trying these this weekend, It's been cold, gray and rainy in Northern California and this will hit the spot I think.
Looks soo good! It's been years since I made pot pies. You have inspired me to get some of those little Pyrex dishes.
Thanks for the delicious receipe. God bless u!
Deb from Idaho Miss you so much, Miss Phyllis, hope you are healing well and fast. Bless you!! And Mr. Bucky, please take care of yourself, order in some extra help please, if you need to. Love you both!
Her cooking style is cozy
What a beautiful way to put it! Thank you!
What a great idea for preparing the chicken for your dogs. I'll definitely do that for my dogs.
Yum...... Is it wrong of me to wish I was your neighbor? I am in awe of how many diverse meals you make. Mr. Bucky is one lucky husband! I really enjoy your videos... especially the retro recipes you make.
YES! Tarragon is delicious with anything creamy. Yummo!
I LOVE potpie! One of my all time favorites! Can't wait to give this one a try!
Miss Phyllis I just had to leave you another comment, I made the pumpkin cake today that you left a link to. You got me at the a piece would be good with a cup coffee hahaha! This cake is so delicious. I am really glad I baked it. As always thanks sooo much!
Miss Phyllis, these are beautiful! Thank you once again for showing us how to take comfort food and make it absolutely exquisite. Bye for now :) 💖
I Love homemade chicken potpie's! Much Love!! Bless!!
Beautiful dinner and dessert. Thank you for sharing. You are such an inspiration.❤️
That was a funny story!!! I would have thought that it was the kitten too. LOL!!!! Your Mom was SOOO AWESOME.
Prayers sent for You and Yours.
You have a very calming voice.
Nice individual chicken pot pie and love the freshness of your salad ! Love chicken pot pie!
Yay instant pot. So glad you are showing how to chicken in the IP. Thank you Phyllis.
I love the idea what you do for the dogs. I will try this! Now I’m wanting a pot pie! Thanks again!
along about the time I think I can't think of anything I want to eat, up pops a video you've done with something that looks and sounds yummy! Do you also have a recipe for a beef pot pie? Those are my first favorite pot pie and I'd love to know how to make them.
You could make the beef pot pie in exactly this same way only use cooked cube beef instead
of chicken and change up the spices to what you like.
Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with parsley. Will be great! The dinner looks wonderful!
I have mixed in a few peas and carrots and found out pretty quick that both poodles love the
Italian green beans.
Your presentations are always sublime.
I will remember the tarragon when I next cook chicken. Thank you for another great video xx
Oh this looks so good. I am going to make some of these. I live alone and don't always want to cook so i bake ahead and freeze things i really like your videos.thank you
