- Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was in south suburban Dolton on Monday night where she has been asked to investigate Village Mayor Tiffany Henyard.
The fact that they asked Lori Lightfoot for help shows that they still haven't figured it out.

Having Lightfoot investigate Henyard is like the wolf investigating the fox for raiding the henhouse.
People use this logic like it's some big gotcha, but there are a ton of cyber security firms and security specialists who are run by / used to be career criminals turning over a new leaf. It's not uncommon for hackers to be recruited in security positions.
Henyard not having resigned at this point is unbelievable. And how she's stubbornly continuing to block any and all efforts into investigations tells you all you need to know. If she was innocent then she'd welcome any investigation in order to clear her from wrongdoing.
she's actually right in this instance, though -- the feds are already investigating, so beetlejuice brings nothing to the table but another invoice.
She has a machine she’s not that bright not powerful to keep the corruption ongoing in plain view in real time without help. And that’s why I think this investigation is taking so long.
I say she ( henyard) is just trying to cause as much chaos as she can before she gets many years in federal prison . Why she is doing this is a mystery. Possibly a retaliation on other board members from something unknown from the past. But, to destroy her life freedom and possibly her family too, is completely insane.

Even if Lightfoot gets the go-ahead, she will be stonewalled by Henyard and will not be given any information and will spend many billable hours trying to get the info and still end up with nothing. This is all foolishness if you ask me. Just let the Fed's do what they do.

@@Tortilla.Reform The FBI isn't directly billing the village for their investigation, which is what Lightfoot is doing. You, I and every other tax paying citizen is paying for the FBI's investigation so the direct cost to the village is miniscule, when compared to what Lightfoot is charging.

The FBI always move slow because they’re kind of the last resort. And now that they have been investigating her they’re trying to get concrete proof. But they have already arrested a key ally of hers on a completely different matter, and they’re almost surely going to offer him immunity to turn against her. They’re kind of climbing the ladder to get to her.
