    So just with the side window close ups... you have the best reviews.
    So many good bows, that may be the best looking.
    Thank you.

    Just got back into archery after 25 years off. I love your channel and reviews. Thanks for your great informed content. I’ve purchased the Bear Legend XR off your review. Really looking forward to getting it. Greetings from the UK.

    I've said it before but I'll say it again I really appreciate your reviews. As to Hunting Elk- Just do it, you won't regret it. I'm 73 and still hunting them. I have a Montana General season tag with Archery of course. I have Hunted Colorado, Utah, Idaho and Montana. This will be only my second Montana hunt but I feel real good about it because I found Elk there and expect to again this year. My favorite place to Elk hunt so far. I have always done it DIY as I really can't afford any other way but if I had 5 grand to spend I would probably still go DIY. In my mind Elk hunting is the ultimate hunt. Oh, you look pretty fit but unless you do lots of walking up and down mountains make sure you train for it. Seriously train. If you decide to go you can probably hitch a ride with me or some other Elk hunting fan.
    Also, I just found me a like new discounted Elite ERA that i purchased and is in the mail and I can't wait to get it!

      Appreciate your response.
      It is easy for me to respond positively but as you likely know going on a elk hunt is not a easy thing to do in any way shape or form. Logically, I should not be going elk hunting. Every part of it is difficult and gets more difficult the older you get. They say, and it’s totally true that the odds of taking a elk with a bow are about 10%. So 90% eat their tag. I’ve ate all my tags and they are not so yummy. Financially it’s a strain, getting a tag, planning a trip from near the east coast and acquiring all the camping and hunting needs isn’t easy.

      To continue my last post to you in spite of the difficulties I love elk hunting and believe you will also. It’s easy to sense your desire to do it. As hard as it is it’s worth it to me. It inspires me greatly and forces me to get fit as it’s a butt kicker even if one is fit. Elkshape on you tube has a great video called “Don’t suck at Elk Hunting”. Check it out. You definitely have the archery part of Elk hunting down which is huge you just need to figure out the rest and you will, just don’t wait too many years.
      The very best regards,
      Terry

    Yeah man , I haven't shot either Omnia or Era but they have a shop near me that has a Verdict which has the same cams as the Omnia and Era and I'm telling you the 70# bow feels like 80#'s it's so stiff. And use to Elite bows that were 70# , felt like 60#. They were so smooth and easy to draw. Boy that Verdict is stout.

    Era carbon vs bowyech carbon one? Preference?

  • @nathanbrooks4324
    @nathanbrooks4324 Год назад +2

    Great review! If there was one thing I wish more reviewers would do, because your drawing assessment is totally based on your opinion, is have other bows available at the exact same draw weight and length available to draw and make the comparison. Here’s the reason why… one day, my bow feels easy. The next day, it feels stiffer because I may not be as strong that day. Make sense? If there was another brand/model to compare to real quick I think it would be a better assessment. Please don’t take this comment as anything negative but more of a “I wish more reviewers would consider” comment.

    • @BackyardBows
      @BackyardBows  Год назад +2

      I would say this is def the way to go especially when purchasing a bow, try multiple the same day, now reviewing we go from bow to bow every week sometimes two a week, and I think I get a pretty good depiction of the draw with all the same specs set, now I will say sometimes it’s hard comparing to bows from months ago as I don’t always remember how a bow felt, and then some bows I’ll never forget

    Does anyone have the Era with a 30.5” draw length? I have the Ethos which I really like, but I have also shot the Era and love the way it shoots, the feel, and the weight. Just not sure how the peep would line up at that string angle.

      @@BackyardBows had a bad left tear, was not able correct it with rest or SET… sent it back to the dealer and with Elite tech they tried different things; changed limb deflection, took SET system appart, played with roller guard. They handed it back to me and said « it’s better but not perfect ». Didn’t offer me to exchange it or any other solution so ended up selling my Enkore and bought another brand

    • @BackyardBows

      1000 and under gets 3 makeup pts, 1000-1500 get two and 1500 and up gets one….
      I need to change it to under 500 gets 3, between 500-1000 gets 2 and between 1000-1500 gets just one , over 1500 gets none
      Good question

  • @michaelbushey2787

    I love your reviews. But I have one suggestion. If you worked on your draw technique I think you would think drawing would feel alot easier. Push and pull and use your back instead of your shoulder.

    • @BackyardBows
      @BackyardBows  Год назад +2

      Thanks for the tip! I have prolly switched up my draw slightly several times since I began shooting, now I draw as linear as I can solely for hunting with as little movement as possible. Habitually draw as if I were in a climber stand 18 ft up with a deer in the red zone. But I have learned a lot from the viewers and always am open to advice from other hunters appreciate the feedback.

      @zackNaction93 Год назад

      Yeah man he's right and your DL looks about a half inch or so too short. Notice you pull your head towards the string at full draw. You'll shoot soo much better if you let the draw length out
