  • In this video, I show an overview of LS Swapping my 2004 Infiniti G35X Sedan. The project took 1 year to complete, and several things had to be custom fabricated to make everything work. Overall, it came out great and drives better than I expected.

    • @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro
      @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro  Месяц назад +1

      Without writing a book, I would suggest to go ahead and get your engine, transmission, and a Holley EFI (Terminator X is what I used), along with the wire harnesses compatible with your build. I really don't recommend using a ECM with a conversion wiring harness, I tried that and it didn't work at all (even with customer support), it was a waste of 2k and wished I just went with the Holley EFI system upfront. I don't know fitment of an LS in a G37, but if it's like mine you'll need a low-profile oil pan and low-profile exhaust manifolds. You'll also need the engine mounts (we custom made mine with some square tubing and 1/4" plates) With all that, you should be able to start fitting things together.

    • @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro
      @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro  Год назад

      It was a ton of fabrication, troubleshooting, and problem solving. From figment to routing hoses and making everything functional, it’s definitely a challenge, but it’s totally worth it in the end if you’re patient enough. If you’re putting the 5.3L Vortec engine in it like mine, I highly suggest replacing the rear seal before putting it in, my truck has that leak, and my G35 has that leak, it’s apparently a common issue with that motor. I wish I had changed mine before putting it in because I’ll have to pull the motor again to replace it eventually.

  • @Mik35959
    @Mik35959 5 месяцев назад +1

    What did you do to eliminate the front drive wheels?

    • @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro
      @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro  5 месяцев назад

      We changed the front control arms and wheel hubs to the 2WD versions. Very important that you change the front wheel hubs to the 2WD version though because if you leave the ones with the spline center in, the wheel hubs will split apart and the wheels will fall off. (Almost learned the hard way) so apparently the front axles bolted on the AWD hubs are what keep them together when there’s weight on the car.

    • @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro
      @WhiteTigerSS_Camaro  Год назад +3

      Transmission wasn’t too bad, I had to do some fabrication for the shifter cable to connect to the stock shifter. The drive shaft, I had the yoke to the transmission and the receiving end of the diff in hand, after measuring everything I took those to a local driveshaft shop and they fixed up a custom driveshaft to go in it. The rear end is all stock, i swapped the diff with a buddy’s coup diff, he had 3.69 ratio, and with a 4L60 the ratio worked better for highway speeds. I run about 2500rpm at 70mph. 4L80 is definitely the better way to go, I did 4L60 because it came with the motor. I have a 4L80 going in my drag car though 🔥 HMU on IG if you need any pics or anything to help with your build (@whitetigerss_camaro) I’ll be happy to help!
