- I decided to make the Talon a vtol project since vtol aircraft don’t need run way to take off. This will be a build update of the talon UAV series make sure to check out the wing and fuselage build videos here:

12x40 inch prop
Should be 14x55(recommended)
4s lipo battery

3548 motor
11x7 inch prop
60amps esc
Pixhawk flight controller

Better prop is on its way make sure to stay tuned for the vtol flight *
I know some might think the propeller present is ok but you won’t feel what I felt when I was flying and how much throttle I had to put to take off for some few seconds and also I had to use a lighter battery so it can even lift off so a smaller battery couldn’t hold for long which it drains quickly. With the new prop we will see how much better it would perform.

I wouldn't be allowed to build this to operate it in the UK as it would be deemed illegal, unfortunately.
The fun police have more or less outlawed any flying of any vehicle beyond line of sight.
Anyway, it was very rewarding to watch your design fly albeit frustrating too!

What is the total weight without battery? what is the length of cf booms that you used with 14x55 prop and how's the part on the wing that holds the boom attached to the main body of the wing? I am trying to build a similar vtol .

Bro I just wanna say, thank you for the amazing content. I've got a couple questions about the coating and fuselage of the UAV. First of all, what kind of foam material have you used for the project, as you know some kind of foam materials doesn't combine very well with the epoxy (Epoxy melt's the foam directly).If you can give me some information about the foam material you used, I will be appreciated that. My second question is about the fiberglass and epoxy selection. What kind of epoxy and fiberglass have you used for this project. Can you give me the thickness dimensions of the fiberglass sheet and also ratio of the epoxy mixture. I know, I asked so much thing but you have got the patience to answer them. Special thanks from now.
Foam material: Eps foam , the type you find in brand new appliances
The epoxy used is an Epoxy resin mixed hardener.
Mixing ratio is 2:1, two part resin one pare hardener
It’s 0.3mm fiberglass cloth

Sorry I can’t share those files links..
Regarding the boom length you need to figure the prop size you want to use and ensure it’s clear away when mounted from your wing area.

The Motor screws are to long!!! When the touch the Motor windings, they will produce shortcut and fry something
Well there were no where touching the coils .. it’s just camera perspective
