    It took Jimmy Johnson 51 trades and smart drafting in a three year period to build a dynasty. It only took Jerra two trades to set the Cowboys back to the stone age trading away top draft picks for half a decade. He made a mockery of the Cowboys with the few remaining draft picks.

    There are many fans and football writers who conveniently ignore the FACT that the 1995 Super Bowl Champion Cowboys consisted of 26 players that had never played a down for Jimmy Johnson. This included 6 time Pro Bowler Ray Donaldson, Hall of Famer Larry Allen, and Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. Jones won the NFL's Executive of the Year award in 2014, and a strong argument could be made for Jones deserving that award in 1995 and 2016. Since 2010, the Cowboys have drafted more Pro Bowl players than any team in the NFL, and Jones has played a big role in that success.

    Been a fan of Dallas since they LOST the Ice Bowl game.(1st football game I remember watching, I was 9 or 10). Lived through the highs & bitter lows. I think Jerry needs to hire a GM, I understand it's his team, but they have great talent this year, (of course defense is the key to winning), they drafted some talent this yr 2020 (of course we all know just because you play great in college doesn't mean you'll be great in the NFL)hopefully the new coach can lead them to a SB,(I'm not sold on him either,but we shall see). I believe an experienced GM, can make a big difference in drafting, signing players. Jones did turn Dallas around, but, last year was such a disappointment, they couldn't even win the East. Just my opinion, as I've said I've been a fan a long time, so I'm throwing my opinion in. Win or lose the Cowboys are my team, though living where I live now, I root for the Chiefs as well (can't believe those words even came out of my mouth). I was hoping Big D would sign Andy Reid as HC when he was available, also hoped they'd sign Drew Brees when he was a free agent, but they didn't. Any way Jerry needs to hand the reins of GM to another. How bout them Cowboys?

      I mean he's a hell of a business man. He had succes in everything he ever did.. Even now the cowboys are the most valuable team in the world. And he has 3 lambordi trophies as well. Was the 1st to win 3 in 4 years. He definitely needs to lose some of his ego. I believe he has started to be more hands off in the past 4 or 5 years. He hasn't done any bone head things in free agency or done anything disappointing in the draft. Matter fact the cowboys have been drafting really well. I think its because he is finally not being involved in everything. Its a shame jimmy got fired..no telling how good or how long that could have lasted. Get some more jerrry as a fan I want as many as we can get. So leave mccarthy alone and let's see if we can get another one.

    Dallas will never win another Super Bowl as long as Jerry owns the team. They'll continue to be the most valuable financially but they have become the 90s Chiefs meets the 90s Lions. Tremendous talent and should win it all but keep choking in the playoffs while the front office thinks it's just fine. Because Jerry doesn't want a coach. He wants "yes men" which is why he kept Jason Garrett for so long.

  • @justinrogers8080
    @justinrogers8080 2 года назад

    Since 1978, when the NFL went to a 16 game schedule, if your team sends a QB, RB, WR, and TE to the Pro Bowl, they will have an average record of 12-4. 12-4 is significant b/c that will usually earn you a 1st round bye in the playoffs.
    The Cowboys from 1991-1995 sent a QB, RB, WR, and TE to the Pro Bowl for 5 straight years. This is the 1st and only time that has happened in NFL history a team has accomplished that. Dallas "average" record during that 5 year window was 12-14, with 3 Super Bowl wins in the process.
    Part of why Jerry Jones has NOT had success with the Cowboys since the 1990 Glory Days is because he is trying to recreate a statistical anomaly. His first 7 years as an Owner gave him a blueprint for success that mathematically is not sustainable.
