Such a beautiful bag! I love the embellishments - they’re complementary rather than overwhelming the design, so attractively done. The thread painting is beautiful. So delicate.
Thank you - there’s always a point of deciding when to stop adding embellishments. Look forward to catching up with your stitching adventures. Cheers, Christine
Such a lot of work involved in this gorgeous pouch Christine. As usual it's beautifully stitched and embellished, a real treasure which I'm sure will get plenty of use.
Thank you dear Giusi - we learn lots from each other. Travers had a lovely time at the beach - such a warm day yesterday so was good to get an early morning swim in. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thanks you Ingrid - a wonderful relaxing project where I got to include lots of lovely bits and also play with different stitching. Cheers Christine 💙🧵🪡
Beautiful pouch and I loved hearing your process on how and why you stitched it how you did. Also the thread painting, yes, I am one of those who seem to be intimidated by thread painting so loved seeing you do that as well. Tfs
What a beautiful and useful pouch! Love the colors of your fabric and the stitches you did on this beauty! And the key…❤ Thanks for also sharing vid. of your sea excursion-Travis looks like a strong swimmer, so cute!!! 🌷tess
Thanks Tess - happy with how this pouch came together. Trav loves the beach - we were there again yesterday morning as we’re back in a heat wave here. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Many thanks Pam - I had a lovely time working on this piece. And it will be used daily I imagine with all my projects on the go 🤗 cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Yes I do share videos. I'm @alongfortheARTride. I did the pouch and an apron for project 2. Can't wait to see what's up for the coming months.@@createandcraftwithchristine
Christine your pouch looks fabulous! I’m sitting and sewing on the backing for my pouches, all done and decorated, quite happy with how these are looking. Aww so close to finishing know supper exciting. Just need to sew on the backing for my main piece and then I can join and make. Such a fun project. Thanks for showing us your fabulous finished pouch.
❤❤Awesome 😊😊 I'm going to start mine this week finally. I haven't done hand stitching in a while, so I was waiting to watch everyone for ideas. 😊😊😊😊 I have to remember not to overthink it and just go for it. 😊😊😊 ❤❤❤ You have helped me with so many ideas. Thank you. I'll post in one of your media's so you can see when I'm done. 😊😊
Happy you will be creating a pouch - enjoy every moment of the creative journey and go with your intuition 🤗 Look forward to seeing your creation too! cheers, Christine
Oh my this is such a gorgeous pouch and so beautifully constructed I love all your your pockets especially your embroidery scissor holder it’s just genius 😊 I’m still stitching mine, it feels like never ending stitching 😅 thanks for your inspiration x
Thanks so much Karen - it is amazing how much stitching we add into our pieces but my goodness how lovely it makes it. Enjoy the relaxing stitching and I look forward to seeing yours if you share it in the Roxy group. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Quick update Christine😊😊 I started my fabric pouch yesterday. I have my fabric laid out and pinned. I will tweak cutting off extra bits of folded up fabric to see how it looked and stitch it down next week. I'm so excited, I have a wall hanging due for a swap, so I will work on that this weekend. 😅😊
Great work! Yes, definitely trim or fold under fabric once you’ve stitched as the stitching process will cinch it in a bit or a lot. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Christine, it's gorgeous! Every little part of it has special features and I just love how you used Grandpa's key as a closure. I think I might try that scissors keep idea myself sometime. And your thread painted rose is so beautiful! You did an amazing job!😊
Thank you Carrie - it’s fantastic being able to incorporate beautiful goodies into our stitcheries, especially when they are useful items we will look at regularly 💙🧵🪡 cheers, Christine
So beautiful! I managed to put one extra pocket in both the pouches I made, but mine pale in comparison to your lovely finished product. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next project will be, and I’m sure you’ll provide some inspiration for that one too.
As usual your work is stunning!! I think I over think things on my slow stitching and my kantha stitches may be too small and close. Thank you for sharing!
There’s no too big or too small in slow stitching - I’m sure yours looks lovely! I stitch very intuitively but remember when I started out I tended to overthink. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Hi Christine, your pouch is gorgeous! thank you for sharing with us all the videos. I have a question please : which kind of needle are you using, this one (for the thread painting) seems to be very long one ?
Thanks Agnes for your lovely words. I think the needle might have come from a pack containing needles for household repairs and I believe this was called a “packing needle”. Cheers Christine

Wait, those French knots look suspiciously regular. Did you mark off a grid to place them? They look so gorgeous!
Haha there is nothing regular about me or my stitching :) cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
