I am a beginner at 75😂 living in france 🇫🇷 we are not so lucky with thrift shops but we do have a few red cross + always our clothes bedding etc that we no longer use. I have even saved the lace from old bras so now I can begin to make some squares . Big hugs for sharing 🤗

Enjoyable to watch. I remeber first seeing such little pouches when Rachel made one... I think to send to Ann Brooks as a part of a coolaberation. I loved the idea. Hers was more pathces than doilies and lace, like yours. I have since made one to "house" a gift and they are so much fun to make, like you have said. Great tutorial. Great little project. You are lucky to have such a variety of doilies! You mentioned reject shops. Are they the same as op shops? I'm in the U.S. where they're thrift or second hand shops.

These pouches are lovely. I do inches but 10 cms I think are about 4 inches. So how wide and how long are your actual pouch sizes.? If you give me cms I can convert to inches. I have so many doilies and would love to create these adorable pouches! Thank you.❤🦋🦋
They are about half an inch bigger than the little stitched piece!

Yes.. it helps stabilise the stitching

Do you happen to have a video of making the pouches from start to finish? Being new to this it's too hard to figure out with the video being in reverse order of how to make one. Those pouches are really cute.

Slow stitch.. that’s the new fancy name for needle work or embroidery.. fancy work was a name used when I was young.
It is just more loose and free now.

Where do you find the little Dollie’s? I watched a bit of another lady and don’t get the purpose of making these small cute squares. At least with what you are making it seems to have a purpose
Lol.. funny you say that.. I need purpose too.. the little Dollies are cut out of large table runners or table cloths.. they are in our op shops / thrift shops. They were popular in the 80s seemed to be all now in the op shops.. I cut like elements out of them.
The little square are funny just to stitch too.. simple stitching.. then they can be added to other projects

Where do you get your doilies from they are lovely
Most are found in op shops in Australia.. (thrift shops) sometimes on Etsy or eBay.. and a lot I have inherited from family.. I also crochet so sometimes create elements too!
What is measurement of pocket fabric and lining?
I can’t remember now.. but they were slightly bigger than the stitched pieces so they can slide in and out easily!
Where do I find the very small doilies pls?
Ah I buy crocheted tablecloth and runners made of those little motifs and cut them up.. they are in our op shops. Some sellers have packs of them on Etsy to! Hope that helps
