Very pretty! Thank you for sharing this idea.❤
The lace pockets are gorgeous xx
Beautiful fabrics , love the idea of the lace pockets xx❤
Such a cute idea xx❤
Have you ever done stumpwork? I'm looking to learn that.
No.. well a little. Not enough to teach!
Its quite alright to put the horse before the cart. The horse pulls the cart. If you haven't a cart yet, you can still travel on horse back. Trouble comes the other way around. If you put the cart before the horse. The cart can't pull the horse, and the horse won't push the cart. If you have a cart and no horse, you'll wear yourself out pulling the cart, else you walk and do many trips to get your needs to/fro home. Honestly, don't fret it. Like Ms Paula Deen I wix my mords too. 😂lol. Be blessed and enjoy life, its short. Thanks for your quilt project and sharing the journey.
lol.. you have put a lot of thinking into this.. I’ll I know is you need a good horse
@@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrineyes, certainly so for that. Are there buggy riders there at all?
Your story brought back memories for me. I think we are close in age. I am currently 58, when I started cross stitch I was 25. I used to go to a tiny shop in Orange, CA. I purchased both those Peter Rabbit books bc I thought if I ever had a child I would like to have Peter Rabbit. I stitched a few out and bagged the fabric and books. It did work out many years later my eldest son was born, his nursery was in Peter Rabbit. I used the cross stitch piece as framed pieces. I have kept them. I would love to do something like what you did. I too have inherited many crocheted and cross stitched pieces from family members. Any ways thanks for sharing your work.
I’m a 1972 kid., pull them out and reinvent them!
It’s going to be just beautiful. I can’t wait to get to Bec’s shop in July. It’s a gorgeous shop.
Giggles thinking of the "look"😊
Such lovely quilt love how it’s coming together, the idea of a 2 sided quilt like this is a really wonderful idea. Love and hugs xx ❤
Oh Corrine, the memories you awakened in me! I still have my (Lutheran) confirmation dress that my grandma made for me, tucked away in my little treasure chest - I’m now 76. Yes, we girls had white dresses. Mine is made out of very pale grey brocade that could pass for white. My dad had brought it home from one of his travels; he was in the merchant marines, as was my mom, and that’s why I grew up with my grandma. Oh her struggles to get the front drape I envisioned in my head of the little bolero that went with the sleeveless dress, but she got it in the end. There’s still enough of that brocade left to make a wedding dress, but not for me at this stage😊, I’ve already been married for 51 years, and didn’t have access to the brocade at the time of my wedding, as I lived in another country at the time (I grew up in Norway). There’s a shawl that goes with it too. I’m realizing now what a treasure I have.
That's a beautiful memory! A true treasure
@ I just remembered, I think there’s a little clutch to go with it too - I’ll have to do some digging in my treasure chest. Wish you could help me arrange it all in a shadow box, along with the picture of me wearing the dress, with my little New Testament in hand that we all received during the confirmation! With your artistic mind it would be a master piece!
Oh, this is getting better and better! You are a wonderful creator and also a very talented teacher! I pick up something each time i watch! Fudge is so beautiful - so happy that his medicine is gelping so much. He is a darling! Princess Pepper surprised me up on the table! What an imp! And Bandit is so handsome! What a great life! I'm about to start on my own Percy Peacock journey! I love your's. I've found his actual vintage pattern!
Thank you so much for this idea... I've nearly given up hope of finding doilies and was fed up with all the videos of huge sashes of bits. Bless you.
Glad it was helpful!
Hope you had fun thrifting. I’ve been at my scan and cut class all day lots of fun we also had a quilling session which was great fun. Loving these little 3D bits you are creating for your bouquet. Do Pepper and Bandit stay outside all the time? Just curious they are beautiful dogs xx
Hi.. yes they do.. too much fur for me inside..
Oh thank you for your beautiful presentations on this project- I’m rewatching the series as I go. I really appreciate all you share and teach us!!xxxx
I'm so glad you're enjoying the series - happy stitching!
Lookin gorgeous🥰😍. Send me your mailing address and I’ll post off some Handspun and handdyed yarns for you. There’ll be wool and silk.
Oh my gosh, that would be amazing, thank you so much!
@ my pleasure
❤
This will be a looong adventure but such a gorgeous result! Thank you, Corrine ❤
It really is!
Gorgeous Corinne, I love watching how your pieces evolve.👏🏼🪡🌻🦋
Love it! I'm just taking a snack break in between stitching. When I start poking myself with the needle, it's time for a break.
So true..
Great choice for the vase! I love how the horizontal stripe takes your eye across the piece. Happy stitching!
Thank you so much 😊 yes I think that’s too
Fantastic video and such a big help, have been struggling a little bit with the flowers and your idea of simplifying sewing the vase and flowers before applying to the rest of the piece has been a light bulb moment. Going to look amazing as always. On a personal note my husband has now been diagnosed with colon cancer and has a spot on his liver, surgery next week . So with his heart issues last year and now this. Life is sure throwing us some curve balls which we are trying to dodge without getting hit in the face and another hill to climb. That's life and just one step at a time and one day at a time. And, on a happier note have just ordered so gorgeous cheese cloth from the Etsy store you share, so thankyou for that. Hope you are doing well and take care xxx❤❤❤
Oh Sue .. stay strong.. time for me to send you a pray and love.
Best wishes to you and your husband.
You have such patience. Love seeing your process, it will be magic when completed.💜🌈
Thank you! I am loving making it.
I can always count on you going the extra mile …lovely
Thank you 😊
OMG, I love the way you can focus on the smallest of areas and bring it to life. Can’t wait to see the whole piece. Cx
That cute little bunting is absolutely adorable, loved watching this series . Thank you for sharing you lovely. Panel with us xx❤
The shops are looking so cute the lace peaks are gorgeous. Would love to see you turn the shops on the other panel into the satchel xx❤
So pleased to see gorgeous Pepper and Bandit ❤❤.
Lovely start it’s so nice having you keep me company whilst I craft xx

oh rain rain come our way and hang around for a couple of days. We've had no rain since 27 Dec and nothing on the horizon either. I was wondering how you were faring with the rain. Love Pepper on the table we have a cat that does that for attention lol.
WOW this is going to be another stunning masterpiece Corrine! Just so lovely and glamorous 🥰 can’t wait to see how each flower develops and the techniques you use, I always learn so much from you❤
Ooh, I’m so enjoying this quilt, thank you ❤
Fudgie thinks you're talking to him!
This is going to be absolutely fantastic! Lots of work, but that has never bothered you 😃.
Outline the colours with matching threads or black will make it pop.
Love the idea of floating flowers will be behind glass anyway
BTW Marion was amazing
Stef Frances is where I got my gauze from had it long time,it's a great addition to many projects .
Not really knowing where you are, I was wondering if you were getting that flooding - glad you are safe!❤
Love your sewing memories . I made my first dress when I was 12 and my matric/school leavers dress and plenty in between.
That is a lot of lovely sewing memories!
It’s glorious! 🎉
I love how your quilt is coming along, i havent started mine as yet im not the most colour friendly person and i worry it will clash big time This will be my first quilt i have tried so i think i quilt start shock.
Trust your instincts.. pin your fabrics.. then look at them for the next five days.. and see how it goes.. have a play and enjoy the journey! It’s just fabric.
The flowers area. So pretty softening all the edges xx❤
Lovely ideas for the fence and balcony rails xx❤
You must be sick of me by now.. you are pulling some big hours!
@ I’m loving your videos I’ll be sorry when they are finished lol xx
