This is FAB. I was doing quite a bit of hand sewing back in June, outside in the sunshine. I had just put my best , gold tipped, red work needles in a piece of Aida fabric…… long story short….. I’ve lost ALL of them. I’ve searched and searched for them, to no avail and so your video has given me the inspiration to make myself a nice needle case …… more can follow for nice gifts. I’ve loads of embellishments and on Friday we are off to visit my son and his wife for a week……. tomorrow I’m going to assemble a few needle case sets for my holiday handwork. Thanks soooo very much🥰.
Love the "little kits" you've put together. Having problems with organizing myself at the moment (probably the drought/heat), by God's grace I think this will help me get more done. Your work and fabric choices are beautiful, thank you 😊
Ok, I have watched your video twice, made my notes, and been shopping for felt. I've never heard of pallium, google says its a horse bit, and the batting was going to cost me $35 per meter, so I got some polar fleece for my padding. Now its time to prep my books ready to take away with me on my sewing trip in 2 weeks. I already have 5 projects to do, but this one looks fun, and I could do with a needle book. (You can never have too many project can you?) I'm pretty new to slow stitching, so again this project looks super fun...like junk journaling with fabric! Thank you.
I’m so impressed with your creativity and organization. The books are adorable! I was worried when you said your holiday was only four days that you would spend most of it sewing! I guess it’s better to be prepared with a project that you love than be twiddling your thumbs in the rain😏.
Beautiful project. I'm not a sewer or quilter, what caught my eye was your name. Same as mine and spelled the same too. So someone in state of Ohio in the U.S. has same monicker. What is interesting is that the pronunciation of mine is core..reen and people end up calling me core..rin. Beautiful work and project. Your personal needle holdrr is spectacular.
These are so beautiful! Thanks for the tutorial, I have been wanting to make a nice needle book but just haven’t done it. You make the process so easy, organized and I love your accent 🥰 Great gift idea as well, thanks again!
I love your needle books! They by far are the prettiest I've seen and you make them seem easy to do. I've never made one before so I am excited to try. Thank you for sharing your wonderful idea's! ♥
Absolutely gorgeous little needle books, thank you so much for making them look effortless to make. I will certainly be making my crafty friends one for Christmas this year. X
So excited to have found you at the beginning of my slow stitch adventure. I’m off on holiday soon. I’ll start prepping so I can play while away 😊. Thankyou so much from the U.K . New Subbie 🎉

Wow!! I love, love your Needle books. I am new to slow stitching...great way for me to practice basic slow stitch. Many thanks for sharing. x Blessings x Mariana UK xx
Hi Corrine: Am looking at ways to make a needle book and your video popped up. Love your ideas and the covers are stunning. Teaching myself slow stitching and can’t wait to try this. Have everything to start one. Do the stitches on the little pockets show on the back of back cover? Thank you for sharing. 💜😎🇺🇸
Hi., the stitches won’t if you create the inside section with the pockets in place ..before attaching it to the cover.. having said that.. I have added pockets at the end of the process, just be careful not to push the needle thur to the covers.. keep your needle between the layers. Enjoy your journey stitching! Corrine
Thank you so much for your response. Started the cover and can’t wait to continue. It’s such a wonderful journey, because I’ve been paper crating. My real joy is sewing. Thank you.
Thankyou so much Corrine for the wonderful tutorial for your beautiful needlebooks. I am new to slow stitching and your video was so informative and easy to understand. Could you please tell me the size of the cotton and what size and type of needle you use? You’re a terrific teacher and a lovely fabric artist 🤗
Hi .. most of the time I use no8 or no12 crochet cotton.. or DMC stranded cotton.. it really depends on what effect I’m looking for!! And as of the needle.. long with a big eye! (Stiff fingers and nearly blind) lol. You will find what best suits you! Enjoy the journey! Thanks again for your kind words, Corrine
@@tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine Thankyou Corrine for your quick reply. I really appreciate you getting back to me. Now, time for me to enjoy all your other videos ⭐️
Hi I buy sheets from my local craft shop.. sometimes I find it by the meter at fabric shops. I’m in Australia so I find both styles at Spotlight.. happy stitching
Thank you for your reply Corrine. I am actually making a couple today. The felt I meant was the big grey work mat that you use to assemble your gorgeous slow stitching on. It looks to be about 12x12in or more. I went to the op shop yesterday to gather some more bits and bobs. I am also in Australia Qld, so with all the rain, makes it perfect weather to try something new. Thanks again. Heather. ☔️💦
Thank you Corrine for this wonderful tutorial. Your needlebooks are just so pretty and have really inspired me. I have so many scraps, now i know what to do with them. xx
Dear Corrine, could you please explain what you mean by invisible stitching? Does it mean stitching every fabric, doilies, motifs etc onto background fabric before you use the embroidery thread? If so what stitch do you use? Tia, Lorraine
Yes.. I use normal sewing cotton to stitch elements held by pins.. as it replaces them.. It’s a tiny stitch on the top of your piece.. but underneath the piece you can skip along an inch or two then push your needle back thur to the top to do another little stitch. On the top of your piece you can’t see that stitch (hence the word invisible) but when you turn your piece over you will clearly see where you have jumped all over the place!! Something your embroidery may not be enough to secure your lace and fabric so the process of invisible stitches just help to secure all the elements in your design. I hope that helps.. if you watch my Roxy journal of stitchery videos you will see me doing it all the time.
Ah another word offen used is tacking but tacking from the quilting world is often big stitches which are then removed at the end of the project..in this slow stitching world little tiny stitches are used
I really enjoyed this wonderful video. Such a great idea for portable projects. Do you stamp your own words on fabric or buy them made up? I have always been curious about this.
Hi Thanks for your kind words.. I stamp my own word. Then I can control the colour, size and fabric, if you try this , just make sure your ink is a permanent one. I also purchased a set of letters then I can make up any word. Happy stitching
Hello I have one hand [lost my right dominant hand in lumber mill] and I was wondering if you sell these and what are you selling them for? They are very useful. Thank you Judy in Grand Ronde, Oregon
If your referring to the crocheted pieces.. they are made up of 1000’s of knots.. so it doesn’t fray like material. As for materials.. I like that too fray a little!
I don't know if you'll still see my comment this far after you posted your video.....but I'm wondering if the little bits and pieces that look "stamped" actually was a rubber stamped image onto the fabric...? If so, what type of ink was used, and is it able to be washed without coming out?
Hi welcome to my channel.. yes I used a rubber stamps onto fabric and I used permanent ink. I iron the work to set the fabric.. thanks again for watching regards Corrine

You are a woman after my own heart. Lovely ideas for a total beginner too, being small and not daunting.. Thankyou.
