The whole casing is damaged but the PC comes on and works perfectly. Can I just clip the monitor wires and use my TV for the PCs monitor? Actually the hinges on one side broke from lifting the monitor from that side only. And now the monitor is just hanging by the wires. Can I clip those monitor wires and use my TV as a monitor?

I just picked on of these up c855d-s5110 do these all have crappy sound? the only thing that sounds good through these speakers is the test tones.. otherwise it is really tinny and doesn't go very loud

are you running windows 10? I have the same laptop and tried to upgrade it to windows 10 for some reason the sound doesn't work with windows 10
