Her hair is so beautiful. I didn’t see a difference from using relaxer however I bet she can feel the difference. Perm and color dries and damages hair. It looks like she does her hair a lot so she could have just used oil while braiding or twisting to prevent frizz. I noticed wearing a silk bonnet prevents my hair from being frizzy. And the silk bonnet was way cheaper than my hair oils.
@@leahh.6277 her edges don’t look relaxed because she didn’t know what she was doing during application, putting a plastic bag on and not smoothing anything, not distributing the relaxer properly etc. When we check on her in about 3-5 months, all of her hair gonna be falling out.
What is wrong calling them dreads 🤔 stop ✋️ it nothing bad about calling them it's beautiful dreads loc and sista locs dread locs I'm old school it's nothing wrong with calling them dreads I did my research about it .....
I'm 3 minutes in and honestly my worry is the washing out of all of those chemicals. It's hard enough to rinse out shampoo from braids and shampoo can be more viscous than relaxer. I would think those with locs would be scared of that, but I guess since sisterlocs are so small they're easier to rinse clean.
She’s not fun to watch 😕 but they will likely weaken, thin and eventually break. Conditioner can be problematic because it’s difficult to thoroughly wash to the core of a loc so I can’t imagine sodium hydroxide being a smart choice.
I stopped using relaxers almost 10 years ago after seeing Chris Rock’s “good hair” every time she uses a relaxer she is dissolving, not straightening her hair. At best her hair is going to be matted and her edges will be hanging on for dear life if not gone completely. She’s going to really regret her decision.
I thought about that. I don't even think it would make it longer, but it would likely make the locks weaker especially if you have ever cut the flyaways along the length of your locks.
That goes without saying. 🥴 If she doesn't want the opinions, stop putting it on social media. Keep ya business to ya self hair or otherwise. Views and engagement runs her monetization up so it's just a stunt imo.
Yes, ma'am. It's her hair. She had a right to do what she wanted. If someone has a problem with how she chooses to keep her locs, it sounds like a you problem. If she goes bald, so what. If someone doesn't like what she's doing, scroll pass her post. And everyone's hair isn't the same. Let people live how they want, Gosh...
This actually looks unreal. Generally, when a relaxer is applied, people don’t use their bare hands to manipulate the hair. Otherwise, it’s her hair and she can do as she pleases. Love and light y’all.
“WHY” that woman was so disrespectful to her audience it was unnecessary and vulgar SMH 🤦🏽♀️ I really could not finish watching because I do not use that type of language. It’s sad really sad 😔
My concern with her relaxing her sisterlocks is that some residue of the relaxer could be trapped between the locks, eventually causing serious breakage. She apparently waited several weeks before she saw her stylist. Perhaps it would have been better for her to undo her locks before applying any relaxer. It's interesting she didn't show her 'before' prior to her relaxing her hair. As far as her calling out people that color treat their hair, she's right that it is a chemical process, one that is often and incredibly drying. She's also right that all content is intended to get more views. Otherwise, why go through the trouble of creating content if no one is going to see it?
I just don't understand the point of why she felt like she needed to do it. She never said but just started cussing people out. Her beautician looked like she didn't like what she saw either.
I assume that she couldn't grow her hair and that's why she locked it because locs will give you hair that you never thought you'd have. Now she wants straight hair down her back instead of natural hair down her back
The woman is definitely somewhat caustic for my taste. However, that's a big assumption, that she couldn't grow her hair prior to getting sister locks. 🤷🏾♀️
I started my beautiful loc in 2010. I didn’t put no wig over them or wraps. When I hear women say how they want to start their locs and I ask why it’s always low-maintenance. I always have to explain it’s your natural hair and it’s high maintenance to keep them clean and no product buildup. Then I hear they wore a wig to avoid the ugly phase which is your face not the transition of your hair. They eventually cut them off within 4 months. I see a lot of faux locs that men and women are wearing. That is very damaging to the follicle of the scalp because of the weight and length! It was the best decision I made was to wore my natural hair in confidence. The frizzy hairs is a part of the personality of the locs. Mines get frizzy at the top and it’s so pretty.
That older woman 1:40 timestamps turned her Sista Locs Hairstyle into a disgruntled Onion Soup Bowl from Chillis or Texas Roadhouse Restaurants. HAHAHAHAHA... Perms & Natural Beautiful Locs don't mix!¡!
People like her i dont mees with!! . She still referring to her own hair as NaPpy. That right there is what i cant do.!!!! That backwards thinking is benethe me.. I dont even want to be in the same room with that female.. she disguting to me!! Ugh!!
Exactly. Some people use the term affectionately or to reclaim the phrase, but it’s clear she is using it pejoratively. “This n@ppy $h!+ like c00+ie hair.” Such self hatred. Very sad.
It’s not the perm that concerns me it’s the damage from the retwist now that concerns me, the hair will be weak and will not be able to take the manipulation of the loc tool , that’s why we don’t do braids with new perms however she is happy so good health to her and keep feeling good about yourself. And use hair straighteners now . ❤
@jamikapope2728 Stop it, you know our people can be detrimental to themselves. She doesn't believe in her own beauty, which is perfectly imperfect. Her hair was beautiful before and after. Time will tell in the long run if its sustainable. I wish her the best.
Can I be honest with no hate? I'm speaking from the POV that she really relaxed her locs as my friend believes she didn't. Watching her videos made me mainly confused, but secretly sad and jealous. Confused because I don't see the purpose of relaxing locs. I have a condition that requires me to take a combo of medications. It causes my hair to be really porous and susceptible to dryness and breakage. I've tried lots of natural styles, and they look/feel very dry and brittle within a couple of hours, no matter how much product I put on my hair. The only way I have growth is by putting my hair in cornrows with no manipulation except on wash day. I like natural hairstyles, but I do get sad seeing hair getting abused like that and jealous of not having the luxury of really being able to enjoy my own hair. I would LOVE to have her head of hair, frizz included.
Lots of product in the hair makes it brittle and dry. You only need a few of the right products. Once you understand what works and what doesn’t work for your hair, it’s not only grow, you’ll retain length and add thickness.
@GAshoneybear, I understand what you're saying. The ones who don't do stupid or silly things with their hair are mostly not as lucky as the ones who do.
If she's happy I'm happy😂 Actually she's hella funny and I just subscribed! I don't let social media decide for me how I'm going to wear my hair, makeup or clothes!
In my opinion she wanted a change without any hoopla. Social media is the start of her going viral. She posted and we took it from there. Whether she damaged her hair or not is truly on her. We are accountable to ourselves and not to some stranger on her page. Let's remember it's her hair journey and hers alone.
First, I don't have anything to say...I'm gonna wait for it. Second, I love your headwrap. Last, but not least, thank you for how you articulated the video, with class, I am a new sub.
Very strange choice to make... when she needs to retwist the new growth how will she do it? Plus she curses so much I can barely stand to hear her speak smh
Lord have mercy, this lady came on line just to spread her sour attitude, smh. As someone who used to do hair...she basically relaxed her hair to get rid of the fluffy texture common with Sisterlocks. It's hard to see the difference, but after the relaxer it stayed in that wet mop/floppy state. Overall though it's kinda funny that she braids it at night to put the texture back into her hair that she removed with the relaxer. She could have achieved a similar result with a flat iron.
I have loccs. And this is a nightmare... After using bleach and color in my loccs. I realized how much hair holds the chemicals.. Hope she doesn't regret this later
Honestly, I think long term, her re-tie schedule is probably going to have to be increased because of the relaxing and if she does touch ups she might end up like the girls who do the Gina curls who (over time) end up with over-processed hair that ends up breaking.
I started my new hair growth journey in April 2023. I am so much LOVING my hair right now. I cut my hair to shoulder length at the beginning of my journey in April 2023. My hair now is down past my waist. I am sure by my 2-year Hair-Anniversary in April 2025, my hair will be touching the top of my butt. Here is the thing. I have had long hair in the past. However, my hair has never been this healthy before. My hair is thick, strong, and healthier than ever. I use mostly homemade DIY Organic Ayurvedic products in my hair. Even for coloring my hair, I only use Organic Ayurvedic products. However, I am not 100% natural. I Texlax my new growth every 16 weeks. Meaning, with a mild relaxer, I under process my new growth only and I do not put any relaxer at all on my edges. I Texlax my new growth for manageability, and I also do like how my hair looks when it is Texlax. I plan to start my own channel soon sharing my journey, because I am just loving the results.👍😊
While I agree with you… this Sista seems very pleased and happy with her hair. She was speaking very positive about her decision. My gut tells me she has always taken very good care of her hair, hence why she has the length she has achieved over 8 years. I which her the best. I pray she doesn’t get ovarian cancer that perms have been proven to increase the risk for!!😮
Well no matter what some people might not agree with, is its her hair and she's free to do her thing. Might not work for everybody but it worked for her. She may not suffer from fallout, Because the hair has a lock so it might lock at the demarcation line and keep growing , we'll see. But I will tell you one thing, she is right about and that's what she said about the natural thing. If you ain't fully natural, then don't get on people about doing their "unnatural" thing. She's a grown woman we're not her mother.
You look so beautiful. I need a hair wrap/scarf step-by-step tutorial please. Nappy means diaper in many countries. But I hate when it is referred to hair, so negative.
I don't see how she could thoroughly wash and rinse the product completely out of her hair, but it looks like she got the desired effect. Rage baiting, though? For sure.
SOOOOOO when most of us went natural, we HAD to grow the perm OUT, and usually a Big chop.........🧐🙄.......... WHAT does she think is gonna happen in a few months........🤔 MAKE that video.........
She’s lying tryna sent ppl off, that’s conditioner in her hair bcuz no one covers relaxers and create heat. She’s a dangerous individual to send out false information to others. Her hair will be butt length and the dummy who listens to her will be suffering from ovarian cancer💯😒
Please my Love, sage your channel to cleanse it from her negative aura. ☺ While I support people's rights to do whatever they want as long as it does no harm to others, I felt totally assaulted by her base demeanor and language. I come to your channel for knowledge and tranquility. She delivers neither.
She seems happy while others seem bitter ABOUT HER OWN HAIR. And make a whole video about her?! That’s crazy! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 SHE WON. She got the views. People seem so self entitled… 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Hmm. You know, I really don't have a comment. I've been both relaxed and natural for several years and I have my pros and cons with both. I've always been the type of person where I can't knock what a person does to their hair because a person can't knock me. I used to be very experimental with my hair. Now, not so much, but I am experimental with how long I can do this natural thing!
As much as this woman is annoying, im confused why ppl care. Watch and move on its hair. I wonder why so many black women shave their hair, but its not my hair or business. I will agree the word nappy is disgusting, no one in my household would never use that negative word.
As a little girl, I was never told that my natural hair was beautiful. All I ever heard was how thick and coarse it was (ie. hard to manage). Me and my sister were given a kiddie perm by age 7 'to make our hair more manageable '. Then I went to get a jheri curl in the 80's and the relaxer had to be cut out my hair. It was so short I was miserable! I spent too many years struggling with relaxers in my hair and stagnant growth. My hair never went past neck/shoulder length. I finally went back to natural around 2013 and I've never looked back. I'm done with those cancerous chemicals! Just not for me, but to each her own.
I think she lying . A bag over relaxer.. I think it conditioner, because just touching it with bare hands, letting it drag all over her back... cause who would get relaxer stuck all in the loc...

@@ange2122 Why? Now we can stop hearing these ppl complain about the hair or whatever's causing their grief. So why would you not want that for them.
@@chocolate_cosmos you're fake and dishonest, disgusting
I'm 3 minutes in and honestly my worry is the washing out of all of those chemicals. It's hard enough to rinse out shampoo from braids and shampoo can be more viscous than relaxer. I would think those with locs would be scared of that, but I guess since sisterlocs are so small they're easier to rinse clean.
My thoughts exactly.
What does perming locs do, what's the point/ end goal?
My exact words 😂😂😂 what did she gain 🤦🏽♀️ I just don’t understand why would she want to relax sister loc’s
We still trying to find out 😅
I thought about that. I don't even think it would make it longer, but it would likely make the locks weaker especially if you have ever cut the flyaways along the length of your locks.
Perm? Locs? What an oxymoron. It's like hot ice. The two don't mix. 😮
I’m so confused lol
Oh Sis you look queenly with your head wrapped up. Gorgeous
thank you
It's her hair.. she can do what she wants.
Agreed..."She likes it, I love it."
Yep
That goes without saying. 🥴
If she doesn't want the opinions, stop putting it on social media.
@@lamorenalista9188You're right. Self destruction.
I love my hair. It's mine and I am grateful. I learned to love my hair. My mother was so vile and negative about my hair.
Good morning! I am sorry that this happened to you, but I am glad that you are able to see the beauty in your hair.
You are the most natural looking woman I’ve seen in a long time . Keep up the beautiful work. ❤😊
The second check in looks much thinner and lots more scalp
The stylist told her that she messed up but she couldn't admit it.
Right her energy was different when she left the shop
I just don't understand the point of why she felt like she needed to do it. She never said but just started cussing people out. Her beautician looked like she didn't like what she saw either.
😂18:01 She didn't look too convincing while going through her hair. Did she sense some trouble?
Hello! Your headwrap is BEAUTIFUL!
thank you
I’m tired of Black women insulting all things Black & natural.
Her hair is beautiful before and after.
I assume that she couldn't grow her hair and that's why she locked it because locs will give you hair that you never thought you'd have. Now she wants straight hair down her back instead of natural hair down her back
That's what I was thinking
The woman is definitely somewhat caustic for my taste. However, that's a big assumption, that she couldn't grow her hair prior to getting sister locks. 🤷🏾♀️
It was not a relaxer.. It was conditioner.
Now I don’t believe this is real but if it is, are people really just putting their bare hands in chemicals??? 😵💫
She's happy, and her locks are very pretty.
I grew up in the hood, I was stationed abroad in the military, but I remember using the gloves to perm my hair.
Her hair is so nice...to relax sisterlocs is diabolical... craaay craaay as hell
Very sad.
Colorful is quite apt. To each his own.
Regardless of what we may think or feel, it’s her hair.
🎯
That part! I don't have theenergy anymore to pic random people a part for the things they do. By all means have at it
Like we didnt know. Man this is trolllllllll!
Sometimes it’s our own people for me🤦🏽♀️ In my opinion we are a disservice to our own people with ignorance like this.
Why is this woman so full of herself? Vanity is a reason for a big fall.
You should look into milk thistle
@beulahthebride8465 I've actually tried milk thistle before. It helped but because it interfered with my meds I had to stop using it.
If she's happy I'm happy😂 Actually she's hella funny and I just subscribed! I don't let social media decide for me how I'm going to wear my hair, makeup or clothes!
This is going to end badly.
Unfortunately she may begin to experience some breakage
Yes. I think she really wants straight hair.
@rosalynbeatty8310 yep
In my opinion she wanted a change without any hoopla. Social media is the start of her going viral. She posted and we took it from there. Whether she damaged her hair or not is truly on her. We are accountable to ourselves and not to some stranger on her page. Let's remember it's her hair journey and hers alone.
She doesn’t seem like anyone I would want to know. Rude. Rough. Wrong and strong.
She is so angry lol love your videos you look fabulous
lol thank you
Texturised my dair this weekend. Braiding hasn’t felt this pain free in years ❤
First, I don't have anything to say...I'm gonna wait for it. Second, I love your headwrap. Last, but not least, thank you for how you articulated the video, with class, I am a new sub.
Thank you and welcome to the community !
Good morning. Thank you for this.
Now, I have seen a woman flat iron her dreads.
I don't believe she relaxed her hair. I think it may have been a deep conditioner, and a retwist.
I have loccs. And this is a nightmare...
After using bleach and color in my loccs. I realized how much hair holds the chemicals..
Hope she doesn't regret this later
Yes it looks pretty ... until it breaks off.
How does the perming process even work on locs? I've also seen people flat ironing their locs and it makes no sense
Honestly, I think long term, her re-tie schedule is probably going to have to be increased because of the relaxing and if she does touch ups she might end up like the girls who do the Gina curls who (over time) end up with over-processed hair that ends up breaking.
Her hair, her choice. Her hair is beautiful.
Somebody need to go get their mom off social media😂 Wow, is she serious? Cringe!! 🙄😬
Her hair...her choice
Lol, I thought this said Sister's locks. But wow, what a lovely personality.
She's annoying as hell
While I agree with you… this Sista seems very pleased and happy with her hair. She was speaking very positive about her decision. My gut tells me she has always taken very good care of her hair, hence why she has the length she has achieved over 8 years. I which her the best. I pray she doesn’t get ovarian cancer that perms have been proven to increase the risk for!!😮
Where did you get this head wrap from ??
Amazon - bit.ly/3V6SlCh
Thank you.
ruclips.net/user/shortsvW903NPnTrk
@KlassicallyKept thank you
I don't see how she could thoroughly wash and rinse the product completely out of her hair, but it looks like she got the desired effect. Rage baiting, though? For sure.
Interesting! I never heard of people doing this. Anyway, to each their own.
You see well 🙂.
Defeats the purpose. Seeking attention. My sentiments exactly!! 🤷🏽♀️
To each their own its her hair
How she described her hair is absolutely disgusting. Self hate is a disease.
I'm happy for her if she's happy.
It is not that serious. It is not that serious. It is not that serious. It is her hair.
SHM. Unfortunately, there will be those who will try this trend. I agree. I would never ever service her again.
The bag is like sitting under a dryer while blow-drying your hair 😂😂😂 can't wait to see the outcome
It baffles me that people put their business on the internet for all to see yet, wants to rant when people have an opinion about it.
Looks like she put conditioner on her hair and lied to the internet
🎯
I think she lying . A bag over relaxer.. I think it conditioner, because just touching it with bare hands, letting it drag all over her back... cause who would get relaxer stuck all in the loc...
The mole on the bridge of your nose is beautiful! I kept looking at it while you were speaking. YOU are beautiful!❤
thank you
Spent alll that money on sister locs, locs in which you can't just go to just ANYBODY to get done shm 🙄
Where are your earrings from? Please tell us. ❤
Cherish Pearl
Thanks for the reminder that there is beauty in imperfection.
There absolutely is !
How do you thoroughly wash a relaxer out of dred locs???😮
Where do you get your hair wraps and turbans? They are so pretty and essential for me leaving my hair alone
Thank you.
I buy the solid colors from Amazon
