    Hi! Thanks for the video, where do you get all the assets? Just download from internet? Copyright is not a problem? Or do you have some webpages to get it?

    Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for. I enjoyed learning some how-to’s and also seeing your creative process. Going back and forth between the screen recording and where you show your hands/whole view was particularly helpful! Subscribed and shared with my little art cohort.

    This was an awesome tutorial.
    I did a few collages last January but left off, so this is going to get me back into it.
    The shadows add so much more and also changing the perspective of things opens up loads more possibilities that I didn’t think of. Which is what they were missing.
    You do the leading lines so much better too.
    Thanks for this awesome tutorial mate.
    The Finished piece is great!

    Thank you for this video. I really appreciate that you showed us your creative process 😃👌🏽 but I'm wondering. Don't you have the issue that your pictures get blurred after dropping them in procreate? Because I do and have no idea why or what I'm doing wrong. I always try to fix that by "sharpening" the picture again but it always looks kinda weird afterwards. 🤔🤔 do you have any tips on how to avoid that?

    • @WestonWoodfin
      @WestonWoodfin  10 месяцев назад +2

      Happy to share! I don’t ever have that issue. My first thought is that perhaps you aren’t creating a document size large enough. Make sure your document or artboard is a high pixel count like 2000x2000 with at least 72 dpi!

  • @spacegirl6590
    @spacegirl6590 8 месяцев назад +3

    What’s the kind of copyright territory you’re getting into with the vintage magazines? I don’t want to be getting myself into trouble if I wanted to make some prints of my finished collage.

    • @WestonWoodfin
      @WestonWoodfin  8 месяцев назад +4

      That’s a good question. Like most things in art as long as you have altered the image enough to make it your own then you should be fine. Obviously don’t just slap someone else’s image on a poster and start selling it, but the more collaging and altering of the image that you do, the more you make it yours! Now, I’m not a lawyer…but as a designer that’s usually how it goes.

  • @chickadddee
    @chickadddee 4 месяца назад

    Wonderful! So my question is, if I made a collage using these tools and I wanted to print it out larger for my wall ...how big can I go without losing too much detail? How do you know what it looks like at 8x10 or 16 x 24?

    • @WestonWoodfin
      @WestonWoodfin  4 месяца назад

      Hey there! It’s just a matter of setting up your document or art board to be the size you are intending to print!

    • @chickadddee
      @chickadddee 4 месяца назад

      @@WestonWoodfin I guess you can't go too large though, depending on the quality of the images you use? Or does Procreate keep the integrity to a point? Sorry I'm a newbie, just subscribed!

    • @WestonWoodfin
      @WestonWoodfin  4 месяца назад +1

      So you can go pretty large in procreate. Not sure about what size limit these days, but definitely large enough to print. Quality of the collage will more so come down to the quality of images you are using. If you can use high quality images or scans, you will be just fine printing! Thank you for subscribing by the way!

      Most are just JPEG! Some images I have that I use for the collage are PNG with the backgrounds removed.

    • @WestonWoodfin
      @WestonWoodfin  9 месяцев назад +1

      Either photograph or scan my own or find on the internet! I just compile stuff into a folder on my iCloud Drive! There is stuff all over if you look around! Flicker is a good place to find scans too!
