Ed Gein was a grave robber who murdered 2 women and undug several corpses. He had skin gloves, lamps, masks, skull hats and even a belt made out of nipples. A lot of movies are based on his story, Psycho being another one of them. It's still an interesting house because it is movie history. I'd love to see it.
OK folks...I live in Granger. This is the house that was used the remake of a movie. It is a PRIVATE RESIDENCE. The family that lives there does not give tours at all. They have hired an armed guard to stand at the entrance to their property & the police drive by there all the time. Please leave them alone & enjoy the creepiness of their home from videos.

He only admitted to killing two women and that everyone else he had dug up. He had made masks from the faces of women he killed/dug up along with using their skin to apolster furnishings in his homes among other things. I heard they never used the real house they asked for the design. The real owners do not live in it they live out back in a cabin. Some one did die in the house but not llike what happens in the movie. The Story is based on Ed Gain who killed people for their skin. Nothing about a chainsaw was real they made it up. The Sawyers are the Original Movie from 1974 and the real sequel 2013 and The Hewitts are the 2004 movie. They changed the name as it was a different director and couldnt use Sawyer.
I actully got to walk near it, wen the owner was driving out, we were strict from filming n taking pix, but to be near it soooooooo creepy, the reason he put the sign up is wellncome on it Texas we texans are like that lol, its really a beautiful house if u give it a touch up. There was no killer there, no chainsaw or Meat hook. Its just a old house used in the movie, i domplan doin a photoshoot there soon wen we make a deal wth the owner.
