Love that ski Doo and Polaris keep making each other better as they both try to one up each other. We all benefit from this. Thanks
💯
Great episode. I think my next sled will be the longer Backcountry. Love the idea of a good 50/50 sled. I loved my Summit but hated it on the trails. Now I am getting older, enjoying a good stroll down a mountain trail sometimes just sounds nice and refreshing for the soul.
I Tried to get a backcountry not available without snow check but seem more people back outta their snow checked freeride so pulled the trigger. Once the back country comes with a turbo I'll be super interested
I definitely wanna try a G5 Backcountry! I've got a 18 BCX with over 6k miles on it now, and I still love it. Granted, I have changed several things. And I've taken my sled everywhere. Trail, ditches, backcountry, mountain and race track! Been working on making it the ultimate crossover sled! lol
Amazing sled !!! I like the color scheme. And usually like their off color combos.
Awesome Machine
These videos should come out in the spring. We needed all this info back in March before ordering. 🤷🏼♂️
Would've been nice to have been able to interview these people prior to launching their MY24 sleds. You have no idea how tightly the OEMs keep their sleds under wraps until the launch dates. Anyhow, like it or not the info is here now. Enjoy!
@@snowtrax I have no doubt guys. Keep the videos coming!
can we address the gauge with no GPS but at GPS cost
I love the Gen 5 updates to the Backcountry and will be tempted to order one this spring. The big question about the Gen 5 Backcountry is will it be offered with the turbo to compete with the Assault boost.
In all sincerity, after watching this video I have no idea what I would buy.
In Feb I thought that blue color was abysmal but its grown on me. Love the red combo with it.
Brother a lot of information that can really help a person decide on a sled but man what a line up. Great segment guys
Thanks
I'd like more info on the spindle change on the feeeride
Great video as always. Really good info.
Thank you!!
Just picked up my BCX
are they finally done with the silly battery sleds ?
Go Big ! Ride an Alpine , twin track , buy the train kit , bring the whole neighborhood for a tour of the woods , good side job in the winter too ! Tour guide , see the outdoors , have a Honeymoon Discount ! Quality Girl !
They even let the intern talk 😂
146 turbo sounds frickn awesome! My money says Polaris will drop at 146 Khaos Boost next year.
In 5 years a turbo will be standard in every new sled
@@jonathanabreu7601 definitely true for mountain sleds
@@jonathanabreu7601i dunno, the 9R is pretty damn cool and it doesn't have a turbo, actually it's probably a better sled than the boost if you don't ride at high altitudes
@@dgreenbluet skidoos new turbo Mxz-Xrs broke the ice for trail sleds with turbos, I bet Polaris will follow suit
Yeah but the turbo makes more sense in the mountains because of the power loss of a NA engine. Sure they're gonna slap turbos on trail sleds but I don't think it's as necessary as the mountain sleds. I'm always wondering what it would be like to ride my 9R at sea level compared to the 10k ft elevation of my normal spot.

Really wanted a Backcountry X-RS, but missed spring order date due to work. Could not find a dealer who had ordered an extra in black/grey within 500 km of me. Could not (ever) bring myself to buy one in that awful teal colour. It looks horrible now and is not gonna age well. What the hell was BRP thinking? Not that the '24 Polaris Switchbacks are much better. Ended up finding a brand new '23 Switchback Boost in a colour (black, blue, red) that doesn't turn my stomach every time I see it.
To each their own, I'm sure new owners will love them.
That teal looks great in person. You're gonna have fun on that Boost though!!
If you wanna take the hike out to Winnipeg, MB. FFUN Motorsports had 2 cancelled BCXRS, black, 1.6 cobra when I was picking my BCXRS up earlier this month 👉🏽
@@snowtrax Saw it at the Toronto Snowmobile show, still hated it. lol Maybe if I was in my teens or 20's but this mid 50's old bugger prefers l something just a little more subtle.
Which is why many of these colour choices confuse me. Younger riders seem to love them, but how many of them can afford to drop $20-27K on a new sled?
@@204NELLY Likely would have been a fun road trip, but as I said, ended up with a Polaris. Somewhat unfortunate as Ski-doo dealer is 10-15 mins from home, Polaris 35-40 mins.
@@204NELLYIs that dealership new? Seen it the other day and don’t remember it there the last time I was in the city!!
I need a skidoo
Dude ask them the question everyone wants to know! WHERE IS THE BACKCOUNTRY TURBO and if they add turbo next year will we be able to add it to this years model as an compatible upgrade? Why do we have a GPS gauge with no GPS but GPS cost and supposed anti theft tracking capability? Why is there a music with no speakers?
All about supply and demand
@@bluebirddayz5722 go thru the comments how many people are asking where the turbo is. It’s not just this video it’s all videos of the new backcountry this year. Even on all of the forums that’s the big question
Eeh eeh ehh bro couldn’t stop
Ski doo give us Backcountry 154 XRS 850R turbo!
Oh they updated the rear skid so it don’t trench anymore coffins?? Good on you skidoofeeling..💀💀
Free Ride , take it Easy , Slow Ride
😆
Can Somebody make Snowmobiling affordable again? This ain't it! Looking for a Mom and Pop combo of the 440-340 trail sleds. Something you can use 4-5 time's a year, put in the garage till next winter and enjoy for many winters to come?
600 sport
These companies have to make money too. And prices will keep rising as skidoo and Polaris continue to compete with one another
Awful color scheme sorry skidoo...even if I had the money or was looking for another/new sled I would pass this year
Spray glue , box of leaves from the fall , real camo ,
@@joelaichner3025Haha I should try this
@@pajamatime5750 worked awesome on the 4 wheeler , went bird hunting three years ago , still haven’t found it , but I know I’m close ! The ribbon I tied in the tree is still there , but I was drinking , and it did take me awhile before I remembered to put the ribbon on the tree , if I keep walking grid patterns , I’m sure I’ll bump into it soon ,
What ya don’t dig robin egg blue and giraffe yellow accents?
I’m sorry , but in all honesty Doo should really fire their colour guy.
3 colours don’t cut it anymore.
Bring back the videos from back in the, not a fan of the format
We will. Stay tuned...
Nope
The gen 5 is not a good looking sled
