I always looked younger for my age through all the decades. Bangs ALWAYS made me look younger. Always.
It can also depend on type of bangs + face shape, in my experience it did. On my face, full bangs made me look more "mature" and wispy bangs more baby face than I already have.
I agree.. now my wrinkles are in..Hair was full.. always had bangs. And some layers. A nose looks bigger..Bangs can cover my forehead wrinkles… I let

It is kind of a dichotomy. My mom is 70, and her wispy bangs add a youthfulness to her lob. But when I've done longer bangs, it tends to look like I've worked a double shift in the meth lab lol

I think having bangs makes you look younger! Old or young! I noticed a lot of women older or younger look much older having long hair & not having bangs in my opinion!
My hairdresser used to say “bangs or Botox”… I chose bangs
But I like them at age 55 because , I have wrinkles bad on my forehead! Raised by dad, never wore sunscreen,but thanks you covered it !

I do think it has more to do with other factors also, because although I have always looked young in the face, bangs make me look somehow younger because my forehead is kinda of long which makes my face look slightly longer which ages me imo, but a little not a ton. Cutting bangs makes my face look rounder, more youthful in shape and chubbier somehow. I always get told I am looking young with bangs and I am 36.

I’m 74. I have nothing to lose. But my vision is bad enough so I need it out of my eyes so I don’t fall down. Lol.
You’re right! I’m 36 with prominent smile lines and find I look older with longer bangs but much younger with baby bangs. Revealing more of my eyes, brows, and some forehead takes the focus off my smile lines.
I’m 29 and went back to my bangs recently. Before it made me look younger but I don’t think it makes a difference this time. Great video 😊
I'm a young fair 60 and wear a casual half fringe to the side, its loose and wispy with an edgy look and I get attention. Always had one length long fair hair in the 1970s was so trendy back then and hated fringes. But change taught me a lot. Have experimented with various fringes over the years and loved every style.

Bangs can look so cool and edgy on some. Flick a fringe to the side and have a half fringe, or peekaboo fringe, or super short curled, very cool on some. I'm a later born baby boomer closer to X Gen kid and seen it all. Look at cool Elvis fringe! Anything goes! 😎
I recently found out a certain type of bangs made me look older in a weird way and I was like Whaaaat 😹😳 So now I know not those bangs ever again.

I’m not in love with my forehead. I like textured bangs. I don’t like bangs pass the eyes. Long bangs do look older and they lay too flat.
Not the answer I was thinking I was gonna get. I looked great in bangs in my younger years. As I am aging now, it did not look good at all! Seemed like they brought attention to my wrinkles! All I could figure is that they were too short?? I have a pear shaped face and my lob is too flat.

I cut my bangs a few years ago after having a typical 1 length, long straight hairstyle forever (no bangs). When my sister saw me, the first thing she said was, "Wow, u look ten years younger!" I'm in my fifties. For what it's worth. ;)
I just had a fringe and I look older 😔 so will be growing out by summer hopefully be able to tuck behind ear till long enough to sort ,but fancied a change as get bored 🤣 so my fault

Oh come on...I can understand why a younger girl may look more mature, but it really depends on the cut. I'm 72, when I have bangs people think I'm much younger, like in my late 50's.

Totally disagree. Bangs ALWAYS make you look younger - for ALL ages. They are wispy and cute and super trendy right now. They add youth and vitality. They add volume and style. But sorry you lost your mom.
