Great review. I bought an EgoS2 a few weeks ago, great product. As with everything, you get what you pay for.

nice review Pat. It looks like a good option. I recently got a ForEverlast Gen 2 Pro Net. I'm very happy with it. It has a short handle, and people modified it. But it does not seems to bother me.

I had an Ego in years past and I was impressed with it until the plastic broke apart in less than two years. Good news is that no fish were lost when it fell apart. That brand will never get money from me again.

@@Saltstrong not being critical of your review either. Your critique was honest and accurate. The netting on these is definitely what I prefer for fish and for getting my gear back to fishing.

Does anyone have recommendations for drop nets for use on piers and bridges? Only two keep popping up when I search - one from Frabill (which is out of stock everywhere) and one from Promar. The Promar one seems to be of a harsh nylon netting, which goes against what everyone says about rubber coatings for landing nets. I only have access to fish from shores and structures, and would like to try the different piers and bridges. Thanks in advance.

One of the reasons I stayed away from that’s with real small openings is the issue of treble hooks getting caught in them how does this net work for that

Please excuse the change but would Salt Strong do some strength testing on the Mustad Fastach clips. I recently purchased some size 2 for 50 lbs for some light surf fishing, but they look awful small. Would appreciate a test. Enjoy all the salt water info on your pages.
