The reason why the car auto steer you back in your lane or won't let you out of your lane is because you are getting into another lane without the turn signals. Which the car is suppose to keep you on your lane for safety purposes. So that is your fault not the car lol.
He said “emergency situations” what if you have to get to another lane to avoid last second collision with a crazy pedestrian jumping in front of your car, and you have no time to hit the turning signals.
When you get into that situation where it plays music and no sound. All you need to do is say "Hey Lexus" and then don't say anything. It will activate sound again.
I’ve had my 350H since April and I love it! I too have had the issue you reported of the screen and gps going blank/black while driving … I also get kicked into “guest” mode and get the “wireless connection failed” sometimes. It’s annoying and I have to restart the car to clear that.
I have the same issues with wireless Android Auto on my NX 450h+ I use the cable now and it works perfectly. Lane departure works well when you use your turn signals, Lexus safety features are the best! MPG sounds amazing! My tank is still full from the dealer...I haven't put gas once in 800 miles 🤑
The cold weather affects the efficiency of the batteries, causing less EV range also. I think that the lane keep assist won't kick in if you use your indicator when changing lanes.
Sorry to hear of your new car issues. Was looking seriously at getting the same car as yours but after watching your video and a similar video from another youtuber, I am leaning towards getting the current generation RX450h. The entertainment system is not as modern and updated as yours but it has been around since the refresh in 2020. Being a 6 cylinder motor (premium gas recommended), it will be more expensive at the gas pump but it will provide hassle free motoring without the issues related to a first year model. Hope Lexus addresses all the issues u are facing with your NX. Thanks for sharing the video.
I would suggest you drive both cars. RX450H is much nicer because it is bigger. However if you do city driving NX is the way to go. Entertainment issues are also related to having an Android phone because each phone is different. If you have an iPhone your issues should be a lot less. Don't do zero day OS updates. Wait a week before you install them.
agreed, can't go wrong with Toyota/Lexus, even though they're not perfect and a lot has to do with the reseller. I had a noise issue with my brand new CT some years ago and the dealer just gave a bunch of excuses until the warranty wore off, then said fix it costs about €4.000 (infotainment).... it's not Lexus but rather the dealer, all this happened in Italy, dealer from Busto Arsizio (local city)
I was convinced to buy NX450H + plugin which today turns out to be the top of the NX range, I drove it for 4 days and I fell in love with it, but when I discovered that I cannot have the panoramic sunroof and the Mark Levinson system I had to abandon , I found the stock sound system really scandalous, I have a toyota aygo that sounds better, that's why I wanted the plugin, too bad.

I think the first problem can be an Android Auto issue. It happened to me as well this summer in an OPEL Astra, in which I had no such problems previously. So interesting... And annoying

As of now, it has 9k miles been driving it for 7 months, it’s nice and everything but the materials quality are really cheap, it already makes cracking noises inside the cabin. I have the same NX except the interior color. I have an iPhone and I don’t have any trouble the infotainment system. I use Apple CarPlay all the time. I’m always on a beta as well and no issues. The only complaint I have is my wireless charger. It just doesn’t stay on and the light is always blinking.
This is why I prefer Toyotas older Entune 3 system with CarPlay and android auto. Much more reliable and it’s much easier to use with more physical controls

When the music disappears, ensure some other media is playing int he background. For example, an advertising video while scrolling a website, etc. I have been stopped at a light, scrolled a web page, and the music cuts out due to an advertising vid beginnign to play in the background.
Hey Gary, have you considered trying a usb cable for your Android Auto to see if it would crash as often? No excuse to Lexus though, they sell you wireless feature but crashes...
The google maps issue that you cannot type on phone is an android auto issue and not the infotainment, happens in all cars. You can type the destination and start maps in car play.
It’s illegal to change lanes without indicating, so your car is trying to educate you on your bad driving habits. Sounds like your one and only real issue is a bug in your info system which could be your phone.
My issue is the heads up prioritizes the caller I’d on a phone call over the navigation directions. I can understand going back and forth on display, but no way a changing navigation should be lower priority than the phone number.

I test drove the Venza. The nx felt like a car in a completely different category . The luxury feel was miles apart. I think venza has way more features and is cheaper than Lexus . But depends on your personal needs I guess
Hello , I found these notes very interesting , here in Brazil the bluetooth system for phone calls has a delay , and also in the nx 350h luxury 22 model and it also does not come with a parking sensor , I think this is a disregard for the customer .
Does your drive side miror shake while driving? I bought my NX 350h 2022 back in April and its been shaking since the first day i got it. I went to the dealership 2 times and they told me there is no fix for it and then I contacted lexus corporate and they created a case for me and told me alot of the NX 350h are doing the same and you just have to go along with it ... Very disappointed in brand like Lexus
No mine doesn't. You should definitely get that checked out and have the dealership fix it. Corporate will take forever to get a fix order for you, I would keep bugging them until they expedite the process

Hi Yesterday I did a test drive for a Lexus nx 450h in hybrid mode, and I was surprised that for the duration of the test the sound of the electric motors was annoying... Is this normal for the hybrid mode? Another thing I felt was that the suspension system is not quite as good as described in the videos because I I felt it concretely in the street potholes and light bumps. Besides in the volvo xc60 b5 mild hybrid test nothing of this felt no annoying sounds and good behaviour suspensions. In fact i love Lexus but i dont know what to buy
I have a ES300h and the lane centering assist constantly kicking in definitely annoys me too. You can turn it off, but it auto-turns on each time you restart the vehicle.
I had a 2019 RDX Aspec talk about nav issue twice the car screen popped up saying unable to change drive mode sitting still. Shut the car off and back on still the stupid message. Acura fixed the car once it came back 2 months later, same issue. I was parked and just cranked the car. I agree got a luxury car I was out of town and needed google maps. The message consumed the whole screen so google maps was useless. Lexus is a better company than Acura / Honda. Acura treats you as if you bought a Honda not a Acura.Piss poor service Acura. Never again. Please let me know how you make out with getting it fix at Lexus I am looking at the NX 350 H also.
Problem with music , running on the phone without sound is rather android auto issue,or spotif,or even phone issue. I have the same problem sometimes in my car ,and I dont own nx 😉
I have a 2022 IS500 and get all sorts of weird beeps and messages. Recently when I was stopped a stoplight in Drive, my rear camera turned on and beeped. Happened twice and lasted a half a second each time. Have you ever gotten that?

I took my 350h last week issues that were present. And the dealer said “this is how they are made” 1. Driver side mirror vibrates unlike passenger side (dealer said other customers had the same issue but they are just built this way) 2. CarPlay randomnly disconnects while driving even if plugged in 3. The sunglass holder area is not lined all around so your sunglasses will rattle while driving (was told thats how they are built and you could put lining yourself) 4. Took the car through a car wash and there is water droplets hitting the occupants ( dealer pulled out section from manual saying water may enter cabin during high pressure nozzle. They are built this way) 5. Car does not have walkaway auto lock that is present in many cars like toureg and crv Sooo disappointed
the wireless charge pad still does not support iPhone 13 , also when I play USB mp3 songs in Japanese/Chinese other than English or Spanish, it does not show the title character, I have to guess the songs when I skip them, annoying. I did a lot of reaches online, nothing helped. any solution?
So you've had your Lexus 6 months and your infotainment system loses connection regularly and you've have a leak in your tire...but you are happy with the reliability? Dude, your suv is brand new...it should have zero issues at this point.
Hey Richard, leak in the tire is not a reliability issue, most likely I ran over a nail or a small piece of metal. For the infotainment system, yes it's a disappointment. But the word reliability is geared towards the mechanical/engine portion of hte vehicle which is the most important. I should have clarified that, but hope you still enjoyed the video
@@GaryHwang Well then I do see a reason for the Lexus to prevent you from changing lanes. Also you do have the Lane Change Assist feature where you hold down the turn signal for a few seconds then the NX should automatically change lanes.
@@romairoblackstock5100 at least in Canada it's only with the Executive or Luxury packages, which are $6500+ extra. Does not come with the base or premium package. Looking on the US site you guys have way more customizations, colours, etc. I'm a little envious.

Lane departure, if you put turn signal on it won’t steer back into the lane.
And on divided freeways, it’ll change lanes for you.

Same here! I just dropped of my NX at the dealer and hopefully they updated to fix it, I'll let you know!
You can restart the screen by pressing the volume button for a couple of seconds. I hope it helps ✌️

I had the same issue with Android Auto, it kept cutting out, sometimes no sound. Then I bought a decent short cable... no more issues

You say Lane keep assist is annoying but all you have to do is fucking signal when you change lanes or turn it off

With the headlights you have on your NX, are they adaptive? I saw the non-triple beam LED models are still adaptive via the Lexus build website.

Regarding the tire issue, just get it patched. Discount/America's Tire does it for free.

The google maps issue that you cannot type on phone is an android auto issue and not the infotainment, happens in all cars. You can type the destination and start maps in car play.
It’s illegal to change lanes without indicating, so your car is trying to educate you on your bad driving habits. Sounds like your one and only real issue is a bug in your info system which could be your phone.
I think the connectivity thing is a Lexus/Toyota thing cause it happens in my 2020 4runner too

My issue is the heads up prioritizes the caller I’d on a phone call over the navigation directions. I can understand going back and forth on display, but no way a changing navigation should be lower priority than the phone number.
I have the same issue with my android phone. But it works perfectly with my iphone...

I test drove the Venza. The nx felt like a car in a completely different category . The luxury feel was miles apart. I think venza has way more features and is cheaper than Lexus . But depends on your personal needs I guess
Hello , I found these notes very interesting , here in Brazil the bluetooth system for phone calls has a delay , and also in the nx 350h luxury 22 model and it also does not come with a parking sensor , I think this is a disregard for the customer .
Yes I am in the USA and have an iPhone with delay it is so annoying makes Bluetooth calls impossible

Does your drive side miror shake while driving? I bought my NX 350h 2022 back in April and its been shaking since the first day i got it.
I went to the dealership 2 times and they told me there is no fix for it and then I contacted lexus corporate and they created a case for me and told me alot of the NX 350h are doing the same and you just have to go along with it ... Very disappointed in brand like Lexus
No mine doesn't. You should definitely get that checked out and have the dealership fix it. Corporate will take forever to get a fix order for you, I would keep bugging them until they expedite the process
I wonder if the bluetooth connectivity issue is because it drops the wireless signal. Can you still connect with a wired bluetooth connection?

Yesterday I did a test drive for a Lexus nx 450h in hybrid mode, and I was surprised that for the duration of the test the sound of the electric motors was annoying... Is this normal for the hybrid mode? Another thing I felt was that the suspension system is not quite as good as described in the videos because I I felt it concretely in the street potholes and light bumps. Besides in the volvo xc60 b5 mild hybrid test nothing of this felt no annoying sounds and good behaviour suspensions. In fact i love Lexus but i dont know what to buy

I have a ES300h and the lane centering assist constantly kicking in definitely annoys me too. You can turn it off, but it auto-turns on each time you restart the vehicle.

It is recommended to put premium gas. I have been putting in regular for the past 2 years. This is the 350h with premium package

For the most part yes. The software updates fixed it. It still happens maybe 3 times a year
This car doesn't come with a spare tire. They use run flat tire nowadays. They are very expensive to replace. Unless you are rich and you don't care.
Well I ain't rich, so that's going to hurt when I need to replace these tires. But I do have the tire warranty in case it gets a flat tire...

I had a 2019 RDX Aspec talk about nav issue twice the car screen popped up saying unable to change drive mode sitting still. Shut the car off and back on still the stupid message. Acura fixed the car once it came back 2 months later, same issue. I was parked and just cranked the car. I agree got a luxury car I was out of town and needed google maps. The message consumed the whole screen so google maps was useless. Lexus is a better company than Acura / Honda. Acura treats you as if you bought a Honda not a Acura.Piss poor service Acura. Never again. Please let me know how you make out with getting it fix at Lexus I am looking at the NX 350 H also.

Problem with music , running on the phone without sound is rather android auto issue,or spotif,or even phone issue. I have the same problem sometimes in my car ,and I dont own nx 😉
always the first production models will have some cosmetic issues .. that’s actually nothing for lexus .. plus it’s made in japan .

I have a 2022 IS500 and get all sorts of weird beeps and messages. Recently when I was stopped a stoplight in Drive, my rear camera turned on and beeped. Happened twice and lasted a half a second each time. Have you ever gotten that?
Fortunately I havent ran into that issue. But thats really weird.. but congrats on your is500!! I had an IS F sport and i really want the is500. Im glad they continued the ISF
I took my 350h last week issues that were present. And the dealer said “this is how they are made”
1. Driver side mirror vibrates unlike passenger side (dealer said other customers had the same issue but they are just built this way)
2. CarPlay randomnly disconnects while driving even if plugged in
3. The sunglass holder area is not lined all around so your sunglasses will rattle while driving (was told thats how they are built and you could put lining yourself)
4. Took the car through a car wash and there is water droplets hitting the occupants ( dealer pulled out section from manual saying water may enter cabin during high pressure nozzle. They are built this way)
5. Car does not have walkaway auto lock that is present in many cars like toureg and crv

So you've had your Lexus 6 months and your infotainment system loses connection regularly and you've have a leak in your tire...but you are happy with the reliability? Dude, your suv is brand new...it should have zero issues at this point.
Hey Richard, leak in the tire is not a reliability issue, most likely I ran over a nail or a small piece of metal.
For the infotainment system, yes it's a disappointment. But the word reliability is geared towards the mechanical/engine portion of hte vehicle which is the most important. I should have clarified that, but hope you still enjoyed the video

@@GaryHwang Well then I do see a reason for the Lexus to prevent you from changing lanes. Also you do have the Lane Change Assist feature where you hold down the turn signal for a few seconds then the NX should automatically change lanes.

@@GaryHwang I have the same problem on several of my other toyotas and not yet experienced it on my 450h+, normally just turn bluetooth off and on again and it comes right. running S22 ultra but it did it on my note as well.
actually also rebooting what ever app I'm listening on works too, normally spotify.
