    I have the 350h premium with 18 inch tires. I drive a combination of suburban driving and maybe 65% highway. I tend to drive with a light foot and try to stay 65 mph or lower. I also try to get into EV mode at times. When I used 87 octane I got about 41.9 mpg.
    When I used 91 octane I have been getting 44 mpg. Sometimes using eco mode.
    Now I am only into my 3rd tank of using 91 octane. Still getting about 44 mpg and you can feel the extra pep and smoothness.
    So the car is fine with 87 octane. But I think you get a bit more performance and a bit better mpg with 91

    • @rahulshah1408
      @rahulshah1408 2 года назад +4

      @@bhuvaneshwarrramalingam74 I am not 100% sure. it seems to be about 36-38 mpg. I drive mostly mixed driving with a lot of highway. But the traffic in Houston contains a lot of jams which brings the economy up. Overall, I am very happy with the car. There are some dumb things about the car. If you are on a call, the heads up will not give you the directions, it just displays who you are talking to. no split screen on the 14 inch display unless you are using apple carplay's features to do it. And for a luxury car, the auto settings for the fan are too high. BMW lets you adjust fan ranges. Overall the car is very nice.

    I've noticed that the car is less efficient using eco mode. My wife commutes 100 miles each day and averages between 38 - 41 MPG. I average around 42-44. Normal mode, AC set to auto. 91 Octane. I tend to use adaptive cruise control in less congested areas. I'd be curious to see a test using normal mode on the vehicle.
    I have a 350h premium with 18 inch tires as well.

    Beautiful SUV, and pretty steller mpg, despite what the EPA rating is. Thank you Charlie for doing these types of reviews and all of your content. It is always outstanding.

    Older generation NX, non hybrid same test, will be around 28-29 mpg. Now it’s time to change tires, so same test would be around 31-32 mpg. But 5 mi trip to work, with few traffic lights only make at best 22 mpg. Winter 19

    DM, From what I have seen so far and despite my bias towards made in Canada vehicles, I am unsure as to whether the new NX 350h makes a compelling case vs the Venza or an upper trim RAV4 Hybrid. The inexplicable premium fuel requirement, trick door handles, lack of spare tire and smaller interior which accompany the premium price tag may just overwhelm the more luxurious features and incrementally more powerful drivetrain. BTW did you use Premium for this mpg test?

      It's a lot more comfortable than the RAV, and the driving experience is different. The interior does not feel smaller, and you're getting the updated "cockpit" that Lexus is going to be using.
