What if it happens on Sunday around tiny cities when most tire shops are closed, then where to get towed to? That can ruin a road trip in a hurry.
Valid point and I do agree with you. I guess the hope is with the runflat tire. You can make it to your destination. I’m sure they’re doing this for fuel economy and weight savings of course.

What's "Terrain mode"? No where do I find exactly what the "Terrain mode" does or why and when one would even want to use it. For instance are you familiar with an AutoMeter 3699-00406 Tach Gauge that determines rpm, stall speed, shift point LED signal light and ET calculator? No, I didn't think so. Just like I never heard heard of "Terrain mode", nor its purpose. Nor can I find any "in-depth" explanation within the 10,000 page User Guide (which is basically USELESS!) about this setting/feature............just like many of the so-called "safety features" in the Lexus which frankly cause more driver distraction than any normal careful driver should be exposed to.
No mention of the ridiculously narrow seats that are much worse than my sonata. Lexus designers are morons for making my knees hit on both sides even though this is a midsize suv.

@@carswithsonduren no shade, but I just feel like it looks more luxurious! The materials they use are better. Lexus is nice and reliable, of course, and Volvo is average in reliability..but it’s just something about a Volvo! The nx is almost more compact than the xc60.. and both have 4cyls, but the Volvos 4cyl is more refined and smoother.. The standard mild hybrids are so good that the start stop system is so smooth that you can’t tell if the engine is one or not.. The Volvo is quieter than the nx and has the most comfortable seats ( designed by the ACA) American chiropractic association..
@@carswithsonduren I'm a Volvo fan. The NX has a plusher ride. The Volvo a more European type of firm ride. Overall NX has more buttons and that's better in some ways. With Volvo, you interact a lot with the Google screen and it's small in the xc60. The next-gen Volvo's have a much bigger screen but those are more minimalistic than the current ones and BEV only. And they have fewer buttons. btw, I have a Volvo sedan. My sister has a Lexus RX.

Valid point and I do agree with you. I guess the hope is with the runflat tire. You can make it to your destination. I’m sure they’re doing this for fuel economy and weight savings of course.
Any opinion on the electronic rust protection device that Lexus offers? I believe it’s by Diamond Kote
Honestly, I haven’t done too much research on it. I have heard about it though not sure if it’s true effectiveness.
How do you turn on the air flow to the rear seats? I have turned the flow regulator in the rear, but no air is flowing.
Turn off S-flow in the settings!
Sonduren, how much does it cost to fill up the car?
Also, would you say you put gas every 2 weeks? Or how often?
Because we are both working remotely I’d say once every three weeks. We still do drive a lot and far to see family and friends.
Question one depends on the fuel price and how empty the tank is.
Question two depends on how much you drive.
So both incredibly dumb questions 😂😂
Very nice video. Is this SUV quiet on highway? I mean when above 70+ mph. My current volvo is quiet around 50 mph but becomes terribly loud when drive on highway (70+ mph). Thanks!
I have some videos of highway driving you can check out, but it’s not the quietest SUV in the world. It is not terribly loud, but you should definitely take it for a test drive and judge yourself!
@@carswithsonduren will do! thx!
The mirrors dont fold in when you shut the SUV off. Is there a setting for that
Yea there is a setting. I changed it recently to fold!
@@carswithsonduren I was shocked how little my client at the house I was working at knew how things function or even that they were there… Lexus delivery was terrible. waiting 7 months for a new SUV and then dont show you how everything works when you spend 70 and change… as an example. She had headlamp washers didn’t know she had them or how they worked. How to get the mirrors to fold in, block heater cord in the hatch trunk had no idea what it was or where to plug it in. Found the drivers carpeted mat in the back hatch under the carpet cover.. how to fold the back seats down.. She had a QX50 before
@@BZ1340Well people should maybe read the manual !
do you get the gps on the base NX 350h?
What about the head room? I sat in a 21 or 22 and found it pretty low.
Sitting in mine right now. I’m 5’9 and lots of space.
Will Lexus charge for software updates or is it automatic?
It will be updated for free.
Please let us know why all this Lexus infotainment system cluster blinks always very ugly .......?
It’s the camera
Is this the body style on the FSport version? I thought they were the only ones with the black top.
This is not the F sport version. This is the Ultra Luxury version and it comes with the black top and panoramic roof!
Thanks so much! This is really helpful. I’m planning on trading my 2015 RX 350 in for the hybrid. I love the body style of the ultra lux!
How did you do the reverse or drive and shows on the screen?
Yes full 360 camera will show on the screen in reverse.
What are maintenance costs like? Is this premium or regular gas?
Regular gas! Honestly, the majority of the maintenance is about keeping up with the oil changes every 8000 km per the manufacturer recommendation.
Did you replace chrome finishing with black?
It comes like this from factory.
@@carswithsonduren thanks. I like Toyota in Canada add still eye bird view. Mine will not get. It was removed by Lexus from the order. I like you have cooling seat. Mine will not. But I get HUD and tazuna steering wheel. I will have same colors. Actually my 350h just left Japan and heading Europe. So 2 months left. Seeing your black roof started a discussion with my wife and we go with piano black sticker. I subscribed and waiting for more videos while Im waiting for my NX350h :)
That is awesome I hope it gets to you as soon as possible and thanks for subscribing lots more videos to come on the NX :)
Thanks for the review, For NX 350H, I read that 91 Octane is recommended but 87 should be fine, any advice if I like to keep it for the long term?
I see you already responded to a similar question. all good! Thanks.
Correct 87 is fine :)
Nice video! Does this package come with the advance parking feature?
Thanks Jade! Only the executive package comes with the advanced parking feature.
I have a new nx 350 …. Can’t even turn the radio on, can’t find interior light etc
Can you read a manual?
Nice review. How much you paid for this?
MSRP for this Lexus was 64,000 CAD with the Ultra Luxury package.
I love this Lexus so much, and importantly the wifey as well. Buyers remorse? 0
Exactly the same car we are gonna to buy in a few months as soon as my son get his license, he will inherit my wife’s 08 RX. The way we spec the NX H is base plus power rear door, moon roof and other features we don’t really need, MSRP around $46-7K plus tax fees.
Very nice! He still gets to inherit a great reliable SUV with the RX!
@@carswithsonduren yep. 154K miles, all maintenance up to date including sparks plugs and coils. Oil change every 6 months since birth and transmission fluid drain/refill every 30K miles. Hopefully will last another 100K miles. Just took a 1k miles trip from Bay Area to LA, ran flawlessly. Was gonna take my 17 ES350, but RX has more cargo room.
Now that is some great religious maintenance schedule! I expected to last another 200K miles easily with that type of great maintenance. Plus down there not having to deal with any rust is a bonus!
@@carswithsonduren hopefully so. After my son goes to college my daughter is in line. Perfect cars as teenagers’ first car and we know the history.
Where's the spare tire & jack kept on the hybrid model? Seriously.
Unfortunately, it’s not included. I was surprised as well. The explanation is that because they come with run flat tires that it’s not required, but you can buy separately.
No spare tire .
❤❤❤❤❤ All love
Does this car have a panoramic surround camera which provides a 360 degree view along with a bird’s eye view?
Yes it does!
Just received a 2024 350h premium but it does not have the button as you do, do you know if there’s anywhere else the panoramic view can be found?
@karankanda7994 which package did you get it?
@carswithsonduren It was the nx 350h premium package, the website claims that the car has the view but I can’t see it when reversing or driving
@karankanda7994 very odd. I would check with your dealer.
Japanese is always great no matter what❤❤🇯🇵🇯🇵!!
It suck that i cant buy 20"black rims on 350h.
"The passenger does not have lumbar support, thats ok" No, its not, im driving a 2015 Volvo XC 60 and both passenger and driver seats have it. Well, this is a deal breaker for me, too bad. Maybe the RX has them?
K..
Keep your volvo then
why not include the 2 most important things : engine and the price.
I talked about those extensively in my previous videos, which you can check out! This was meant to be an interior walkthrough.
love mine!
All thelexusmissing one good safety future it is auto rear brakes when there is a object behinds
Nx350h has a terribly harsh drivetrain. Terrible CVT transmission. Really surprised Lexus made this. All the features in the world cannot overcome this flaw. I drove recently at dealer.

Perhaps if you slowed down, just a bit?!
I’m too fast to slow down my friend.
Sunglasses holder is way too small -Absolutely ridiculous!!!!!!
In the front of the Lexus over 10 year not change to 2023
To be fair, it has evolved over that time.
Are you kidding me that’s not a review that you talking about nonsense come people talk about what matters
I have a lot of videos that go deep into the NX :) what else are you looking for?
No mention of the ridiculously narrow seats that are much worse than my sonata. Lexus designers are morons for making my knees hit on both sides even though this is a midsize suv.
Your height? 🤔
I think the Volvo xc60 is better
What specifically did you like vs the NX? Curious! I personally wasn’t a fan of the vertical center screen and found it a little too “spartan” on the interior overall, but curious on your take.
@@carswithsonduren no shade, but I just feel like it looks more luxurious! The materials they use are better. For example, the nx has hard touch plastic on the bottom of the door panel whereas the xc60 used soft touch.. and the exterior looks more mature and classy whereas the nx looks more like an upscale rav4.
I did sit inside of one, but I didn’t actually go for a full test drive maybe I should!
@@carswithsonduren I'm a Volvo fan. The NX has a plusher ride. The Volvo a more European type of firm ride. And I'm not sure the Volvo is quieter as the suspension makes more "thump" noise over bumps. Both are nice. I like the Lexus but wish they'd do away with glossy black. Volvo has a bit too.
Thanks for the insight there Benjamin, I feel the same way, but your take on the driving dynamics is helpful. I prefer the Lexus in that case.
