    Also want to mention, thanks everyone for getting me to 1,000 subscribers, highly appreciate it. There is a minor balance patch coming tomorrow with Ed, will look into it (beyond the obvious stuff/patch notes) and brief everyone if I notice anything.

    Great knowledge to spread. It is worth pointing out that you overlooked 214LP / LP Dimachaerus as an anti-air. At this range you're showing, Marisa can 214LP to anti-air very reliably.

      Yea it is a good antiair, a bit slow no? I've even seen the OD version.

      @@saado99 214LP starts up in 12 frames and is Invincible to airborne strikes on frames 5-15, not unlike when a normal Gladius gets it's armor.
      Against characters with dive kicks, like Cammy, this anti-gladius knowledge comes into play as dives can hit lower on the body. I found using 214LP is a great alternative as they will land in your arms. Again, it has to be at the ranges you showcased but Marisa will want to keep that sweet spot in neutral anyways.

      Ah I see, I knew it was an antiair but didn't know the frames. I know it's still hard to use, I don't use Marisa, but even using Ed the last two days with his slower antiairs its not as easy as a generic crouch HP or regular DP. I heard bigbird said he stopped using gladius as an antiair when he visited Japan, which made me laugh because I knew they've known about stopping it for quite a while through a friend.@@TomHoangg

    I mean, sure, but if you’re going to commit to doing that late of a jump I’m perfectly happy to AA with crouch fierce.

      Good luck

      @ZachHenke 10 месяцев назад

      @@Stiggy771 You don’t need luck. The reason you AA with Gladius is because crouch fierce can get stuffed by early jump normals. And even that is only from really good normals like Luke and Ken jump HP. But if someone is delaying their jump normal the risk of crouch fierce getting stuffed goes away. The tech in this video is a mixup, not a one size fits all answer

    • @saado99
      @saado99  10 месяцев назад

      but then can be stuffed with an early jump in :) You really going to be ready for a beefy jumpin, drive rush, walkup button xx DR? Not to say jumping on Marisa is basically guaranteed, but she has a hard time.

    • @ZachHenke
      @ZachHenke 10 месяцев назад

      @@saado99Of course her AA game isn’t great, but you present this tech like it’s impossible to deal with. It isn’t. It’s just a mixup. And for a lot of the cast it isn’t even a good mixup because their early jump normals don’t stuff crouch fierce that well.
      And all that’s not even mentioning that a lot of the spaces jump ins you show are done at ranges where you won’t even touch her if she doesn’t attempt to AA.

      @@ZachHenke I don't think I said anywhere it's impossible to deal with. I kept it short without going into ways to deal with her crouch HP. All this is about is punishing gladius which is a go to antiair for many Marisa players. I showed those examples to be accurate. They can work but the idea is that the move is counterable.
