    Well done sir. Love your new space I'm prepping to build a shed studio, unfortunately, where I live anything larger than 10"x12" requires a building permit, fire sprinkler system, and many other money sucking regulations well beyond my wallet.

    I also converted a Tuff Shed into a studio, though mine is smaller; 9'x11' on the inside. You didn't include the wiring in this video. I laid in the electrical before the insulation. Instead of 2layers of drywall & Green Glue, I did 1 layer of 5/8" drywall then a layer of 1/2" fiberboard/soundboard. ::: You have a lovely tenor voice. PTL/LLAP

    I also built a home studio myself, but I love to watch on youtube how other people build their studios.
    who knows, I might get more inspiration there to make the studio even better and more beautiful.
    I never get expanded, there is always something to upgrade the studio.

      That's what I was doing. Watching other people how to built studios. Then I started my own project and posted it on youtube...

    What thickness of insulation did you use on the walls? And also what kind of insulation? Does it soundproof adequately and is it cool/warm enough?

    • @DavidFranciscoMusic
      @DavidFranciscoMusic  2 года назад +1

      Just regular insulation. We did two layers of drywall with green glue in between to help with low end a little. It's pretty good, could definitely be better, but it works!

  • @paulbishop2161
    @paulbishop2161 3 года назад

    You didn't mention anything about ventilation, both structural roof ventilation so you don't get interstitial condensation and also your fresh air supply/exhaust. What did you end up installing for that? Thanks

    • @DavidFranciscoMusic
      @DavidFranciscoMusic  3 года назад

      We actually just have an AC unit (Daikin) it's incredibly quiet and powerful and wifi controlled!

    • @paulbishop2161
      @paulbishop2161 3 года назад +3

      @@DavidFranciscoMusic yes, you have a mini split but they do not supply fresh air, and you have no exhaust. Opening the door and window every hour or so is not a valid solution in a completely sealed air tight building, by not having a proper fresh air supply it is dangerous and against building code.

    how do people find the money and time to afford all this space and equipment AND have the knowledge while still being able to afford living and normal day to day life? are you working a job and still able to find time to make music everyday?wtf how do people have all this time and resources?

    • @DavidFranciscoMusic
      @DavidFranciscoMusic  3 года назад +1

      It takes a lot of time! It's like starting a business. I make music FOR a living too, so the money I've made on music projects and speaking went into it! if you're young, just start small and keep growing! Most good things take time :)
