    Great job! Without watching the video I would have said it couldn't be done. However, you've proved that it can! It definitely looks the part on the inside, whilst being cunningly disguised as a shed on the outside. I'm not sure how well a construction like that would deal with the sound of acoustic drums, but then again for your purposes it seems to fulfil it's purpose!!

      @@benjaminpeternorris thank you! Yes the shed was really just built for vocal recording and monitor playback, it’s not recommended for any kind of drums unfortunately!

    Is there no heating or a/c in the shed? How does your PC and the bass deal with exposure to the cold? What's the air quality like after spending a day in the shed with no windows?

    • @LeeTavMusic
      @LeeTavMusic  8 месяцев назад +1

      Great question! I forgot to say in the vid I have a small to medium oil filled rad that kicks in when temp goes below 11c and switches off at 15c. The temp never gets that cold, there are carpet matts also covering the vinyl floor… tbf the most time spent in here in one session is about 4-5 hours and the air quality has been absolutely fine; anymore time spent in there I would open the door for fresh air. My basses are kept in their cases. No issues so far!

    What are the temperatures like inside the shed during the lovely British winters we have?

    • @LeeTavMusic
      @LeeTavMusic  2 месяца назад

      @@conorgreen1587 not going to lie, it does get warm, but it’s nice to leave the door open during those times… the only time it is shut from the inside essentially is when I’m recording, which isn’t all the time I’m in there 👍

    Great vid.have you done a DB test outside the room. Also, have you had drums in there for recording? If so how was the outside volume?? All the best. Bill

    • @LeeTavMusic
      @LeeTavMusic  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Bill, I haven’t done a test to be honest, however I only use the room for vocal recording and instrument input, I don’t have the room (or the intention) for a full drum kit. At very loud volume through my monitors, of which I don’t ever have due to my preferred method of mixing at low volume and/or headphones. As such, my neighbours have said they have never heard ANY noise from the room 😄👊

    At timestamp 4:10 it looks like the sheetrock was installed with the backside exposed?

    • @LeeTavMusic
      @LeeTavMusic  8 месяцев назад

      Hey, this was only the first layer of plasterboard which was then covered with the self adhesive soundproofing then the interior layer of plasterboard was installed… the correct way round 😄👍

    Good video but shave off all the extra stuff and stick to the core of what the video is meant for. It'll make your video more pointed and efficient.
