- This was a little video I shot for a friend who was in the hospital getting a liver transplant. Nothing fancy; he just wanted to hear a motorcycle idling. It was chilly that day!
Turns out it had an intake leak, causing it to run a little lean. Understandable, considering it was about 23 years old.
"Gimme your clothes,boots and motorcycle" I just picked up a 2006 fat boy,sweet ride
They rev so much nicer than the newer ones and the shovels rev even nicer cheers
Look at it and you know, what todays Harleys are missing - Soul and Character! Wonderful Fat Boy! Keep it, like it is...
Sven Klaas agreed! The evo is the last of the Harleys that I like.
This fatboy looks like my 99 fatboy. Mine is all stock and red also. I also have a 99 heritage springer with the evo motor.

Mine is a twin cam ,special mettalic paint ,extra chrome 12000 miles 2002.

@mrmichael555 A buddy of mine had a beaut springer ,he started it that way in his garage ( door shut ) and the bike shot foreward and fell over .Worse was he had a disc lock on ,which totally messed up the disc. I forgot the repair cost,but it was mind boggling. Lol

Nice bike, what year is your drag star? I looked at the road stars for a long time, but the Fatboy with the evolution engine just appealed to me a little more.
I have a Drag Star Classic too. It's looks similar to Fat Boy, but from Japan :)

Thanks. It is stock exhaust, cored with a little baffle in there to get rid of the droning.

Usually works better to give the carbureted engines some choke before you hit the starter. . .of course the efi's don't have chokes
I did choke it. It had been sitting for a few weeks.

There was a little intake leak back then, but other than that, it’s in great shape. The sound may just be off from my recording device.

@@USNVA-yn6cpI totally agree. It was a very cold day and it had been sitting for a month. That hesitation goes away once it warms up a little more. That intake leak was bad. Like you, I love the evos!
