Some say the 96-99 Fatboys were the best motorcycles ever made, no computers or fancy electronics, just pure carburetor and spark. The sound of the older Fatboys is iconic. Mine is a 97 with the very rare limited edition paint quartz gold pearl and sandstone pearl, only 50 of each model with that paint.
@@grabbag6314 my early twin cam is carb .No fancy electronics, no Alarm fob ,no fob starting .Just key in.the tank ign ,turn on and start.Plus the early twin cams were solid crank and unbeatable Timken bearings .I think 2004 on they were fuel inj ,split crank and no more Timken bearings.
I bought a 98 Fatboy instead of a 03 VRod because of this video )
So a 1340cc evo .I had a 98 wide glide for 18 years.

I used to come home from work sometimes real early ( like 4 am ) and i always tried to cut the sound down as i came up the long road home.
A guy i know who lives in my area said to me , John did you come home early on the Harley last week .I said yes did it disturb you or wake you up ?.
He said no i thought i dreamed that purring sound , but it did not wake me up .lol

Ich habe eine 1,9l 94Ps 155Newton 114 Eight Milwau , zieht schon nen Hering vom Teller . Bist an jeder Ampel erster wenn du das willst. Sonnig Woche noch aus NRW/Germany

HAD a 2022 Fat Boy w less than 1000 miles, some AHxxx stole it out of my driveway. So pissed I could SCREAM!! 🤬🤬🤬
Yes , if you have one you cannot leave it unattended for a minute.Mine never leaves me.Also I never leave it on my drive for these scum bags who even if they see you with it on your drive they will come back and try and take it .If I am not out on it ,its in.my garage with Fort Knox security.
