- 1995 heritage 80 ci evo dyno run at thunder beach panama city beach fl. I had the engine built a year ago with .10 over 10:1 screaming eagle pistons, ev 27 cam, compufire single fire ignition, mikuni hsr 42 carb and a new set of vance and hines big radius pipes. She's a hoss with 73 horsepower and 83 ft lbs of torque, keep in mind its only 80 cubic inches making more power than a 96.
I went with Zippers 80/80 kit on my 1995 Fatboy. Dyno'd at 80hp/98ftLB out of an 80" Evo with short dump exhaust ... love my old Evo ..
I was 10 years younger when I had it built, on a low budget to boot. Looking back, wished I would’ve done something different
I`ve just bought a 1995 softail exact same colour as the one in this clip its on a container ship bound for the UK should be here in 3 weeks man will I have a huge smile on my face when I pick it up
very cool! Any updates?
Your so proud of yourself. Your part of the problem
@@whatyoumakeofit6635 what problem would that be? Not coming at you in any way I’m just curious
This is my fav video to get me motivated and back on those bikes. The RPMs are flying and I was waiting for a bing, bang, Kaboom but the higher the R's the tighter is sounded. Have fun.
The fan should be on the "aircooled" motor when running the Dyno!
I have the same bike!! love her. But yours is a beast!! beautiful
Right on brother I ride a 97 Evo Heritage
I have a 98 with the screaming eagle motor..can't beat an Evo..love my heritage
Ride what you like and can afford........the H-D, EVO, was a great engine, with a single cam, easy to work on reliable, well-built, with a bolted together flywheel which ran true, and Metal Gear Drives for the oil pump and the single cam....unlike the TWIN CAM engines, put out by THE MOTOR COMPANY today........pressed together, flywheels, which come out of true and will crater the engine...and silent chain drives, to operate the two cams, with small PLASTIC tensioners, that must be inspected and replaced or will crater the engine and as the chains stretch, they can also affect cam/valve timing........
That's right. I'm on my second twin cam and I'm not nocking them but I'm thinking very seriously about finding me a nice Softail Evo and trading my 103" Street Glide. I just can't get used to a bike that sounds like an old two stroke John Deere spitting and sputtering. Each to their own but I'm about threw with twin cams.
@@UncleChillGuitar if you can, definitely get a carbureted evo. I got a 1996 softail custom with the EVO. 58,000 miles on it and I've never had a single problem. Fuel injected is simple for the rider, but definitely get carbureted so you can adjust the idle and get that signature EVO melody
@@nschein2378 Exactly same bike as mine
Beautiful bike, sounds perfect!!
Let's see the f,,,king numbers
Beautiful bike ❤❤❤
best harley motor ever made some may argue. stroke that out and you have a 96
What is a stroker?
@@ELMARQUESO larger pistons but ya gotta mill the cases out. Machinist work
@Addicus Taylor the stroke and top end give you a 96, and the top only gives you 89 i thought.
Never had the budget to get too crazy with it, and a lot of old heads always told me never to split the case unless I want an unreliable bike.
I think you'd do a bit better on the HP & definitley on the TQ with a good 2>1 exhaust. But if the owner likes the big radius pipes that's his option. His bike so he can do what brings him the most happifaction.
I only had it built because it was worn out, wasn’t necessarily trying to build a hot rod. I got a good deal on the big radius pipes, they’re actually still on it. Never really liked the look of 2 into 1
Nice, I got similar build but 10.5 to 1.
I reckon u would crack the 80hp mark with a better cam, Maybe a woods W6??
Bad ass
She’s 82ci... evos are not actually 80ci. 1340cc = 81.7ci
Semantics...
Calm down....theyre marketed as 80s....just like how ford 5.0s arent really 5.0s...
Nice 👍🏻
NICE FRONT WHEEL, DO YOU KNOW WHAT BRAND IT IS? IT SOUNDS LIKE A BEAST, I OWN A 1994
RC components Imperial
Hey bud I have an 98 fatboy I love your wheels can I please know what size did you go with for the set ? And I went to the site and they only go down to 1999 for the year and make ??? Thanks. mike.
Sweet
i have the 91 fxdb daytona. num 422
Back up so I can record this shit! Lolol
your rear tire started to expand on your first pull my 96 ci evo fxr don't even do that
So what is he doing? Is he fixing it or ?
Does anyone know if that front fender is stock? And what size rim
Yeah it’s stock, and it’s a 21x3
@@josephtidwell8553 god bless you!
so what's the HP & TRQ on it???
I guess he was embarrassed to post the lousy numbers, and those pipes suck for making power!
There just jello I hate jealous poor ass people who knock things just cause they can afford them lmao the best pipes V&H make have them on my 98 fatboy love your wheels bro I would love to show you mine ohhhh wait check out Michael demetros harley on YT
Robert Touchstone, absolutely false. Those pipes are fine for making power. There is enough contour in them for breathability while maintaining appropriate velocity from the exhaust. Know 3 people with those same pipes and they sound and perform as good as they look.
Who cares. All that money for a whole 73 hp. Wow.
Apparently you care Brian, or you wouldn’t have wasted your time to comment...
Sounds and looks just like a evo Loud and slow, but anything is a improvement over bone stock evo
morehp1 not true my 80" fxst walked my buddies 96" fat boy. Evos are light and quick on their feet
Yeah I’ll kill stock 103s
My Evo with an EV27 cam, S&S E, Single fire ignition, minor head work and those same bad ass pipes just outran a 114 W8 the other day. But there's always someone faster....quit hating on this dudes bike, hes having fun and proud of what hes got.
@El Meat Beat just the motor build? Including parts.... I would say maybe 3 to 4 grand. If you have the motor already and buy brand new parts. Of course you can find used parts to save some money.
Me
when you work these evos over for performance do you lose gas mpgs?
If you go over a certain point I’m sure you do. But with mine, it was so mild I feel like it just made it a lot more efficient. I get nearly 50 mpg.
What kind of seat is that anybody?
It’s a Harley Davidson Badlander

theres no way id rev my evo up lik that.......
It was nerve racking
agreed
i have the 1992 daytona fxdb number 422
floogie I have straight pipes with an ev-46 cam the bike loves to rev out makes good power up top
Why not? I rebuilt mine only because gasket failure. But before and after i literally run the hell out of my old evo and she never disappoints
Is that a Honda or a Yamaha?
It's a harley and yr a dick!
This is a joke right
I've been riding for 55 years and I still have no idea why people do this to their engines. Who cares what it dyno's at. You gonna ride around and tell everyone your bike has 10 more horses than the average?? Like being able to bench press 300 pounds. You gonna go around and tell everyone?? What are you gonna do when you find out they don't care??
I would assume they do it because they want to and don’t care what 55 year seasoned riders (or amateur riders) think. And I guess I’ll do the same thing as you when you realize I don’t care what you think, let you know and keep on living.
Yeah. We all buy bikes for different reasons.
It’s the best way to get the fuel mixture right through the range.
Too much compression for that cam
Lol except not
Numbers???
On the video description!
what was the max rpm at max horsepower?'
Nobody knows lol... he never said. And it's 2020. ..
Good day sir
@@plop961 now I see, the numbers are in the video description
@El Meat Beat15 years old account!!
Waste of time. Its a Harley. They're not built for power
Cool story bro
That’s not impressive lol
It truly breaks my heart that I’ve not impressed you
Waste of time
So is your comment
