In my opinion back then they just promised the kids and parents a lot of stuff that they knew they weren’t going to give them. These ppl were struggling to pay their bills and take care of their family. So I feel like they preyed on that. Also, at that time most black ppl didn’t know much about stuff like that. Nowadays sadly not much has changed. U have a handful of parents that are involved in their underage kids career.
@@larhondaburchett3271 My parents worked overtime and struggled at times. But they would've never put my sibling and I in harms way. I couldn't give you my child and not know what was going on.
Both parents were present, the family was into gospel singing, his brother Louis Lymon, had his own singing group. Unfortunately, being a professional child, there was no tutoring, no parental supervision, I guess it seemed "cute to the parents" that he was attending grown up parties, hobnobbing with older celebrities. @@kayshawnsimmons6822 I think during that time age didn’t mean shit. Like the industry care about good looking guys in make a lot money in the industry will spit your face in kill you. Don’t trust the wrong people in you not going get spitting on…

Michael JOSEPH Jackson 😮 whoa
So young and such a tragic story. I love Lorenz Tate in Why Do Fools Fall In Love
Yes he did the dam thang
Having someone cover your song is a compliment. Having someone cover your song and their version charts and not your original version deserves an a** whooping!
Thank you so much for making a video about Franklin "Frankie"J.Lymon. He has a beautiful voice and a talent that ended short due to not having the best guidance in his life and the environment he lived in. Also, Frankie (2nd oldest) only had 3 brothers names are Lewis, Timmy, Howie, and no sister. Not sure if their father had other children elsewhere but it was just Frankie and his three brothers. Anyways, you did a great job man and you need a real documentary show.
He did not live in a peaceful white suburb surrounded by people that could gide him into good enviroment.
@@relacionar111 Yeah you know Harlem (Manhattan) New York, NY is not the best place to raise a family and during that time a lot of people had an addiction issue too...Also, a few people I know from Harlem told me that there have been improvement for people to live there but they said they do not care and they will never go back because it is too depressing.
His wives looked like lesbians... especially the first one!
They did have a sister but I'm guessing she disappeared or she was in another city. Her name was Juanita Lymon, Lewis confirmed this in an interview in 1983 which can be found on RUclips.
I Been Waiting For This Story🖤🖤🖤🖤 Thank You!
Your videos are ALWAYS on time!! Amazing content as usual! 1 of THEE BEST if not theeeee best channel on YT!!! Peace and blessings to you and everyone who reads this! #CelebrityUnderrated
I just love how his story is being told again!
Hi, CU! Where were their parents when They signed their contracts? How did all of the paperwork get signed without their parents/guardians present?
Good Question 🤔🧐
It's the parents' fault; plain and simple.
@@larhondaburchett3271 Plenty of Black people "knew about that stuff", as lawyers, etc... ! We HAVE to STOP self denigrating OURSELVES, always assuming that ALL Black people were in poverty and didn't know anything about business. Not so! HIS parents were probably busy and not that interested.
This is so sad. The industry is not a clean business to dwell in. They are evil and will face the wrath and judgment of God for doing these babies such wickedness. Blessings and keep up the awesome work!
He was a young black man giving money and joy for a white people who did not give him back the respect and good enviroment he deserved becouse the high racism at that time.
ugh i never get tired of this story
his story was so tragic 😢
Can you do a part 2 on Frankie Lymon I'm interested in finding out more of his life story.
This one is his part 2
The movie Why do fools fall in love left me wanting to know know more about Frankie. Larenz Tate did such a magnificent job, I just wanted more. On the internet it's not very much on Frankie. I really hope someone would do a movie on him like the one recently done on Elvis🤨.
REST WELL FRANKIE VERY TALENTED..
Yes, thank you for sharing your gift of song
#longlivefrankie👑
He looks so young, he is practically a child, RIP how tragically sad.
Such a shame that so many famous people of this era died penniless and strung out on heroin.
Agreed. Thinking of Billie Holliday…
His adult voice was Beautiful. Listen to Seabreeze, and a few others. It’s beautifully haunting when you know the story.
Indeed 💯
Yes, it's first time I heard it and it was!
Very nice job I saw the movie and I really enjoyed your video. I filled in a lot of blanks. Thank you again.
Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers were the Blueprint for every Boyband all over the world. Michael Jackson was compared to him as a Young Man. The Beach Boys & Diana Ross both covered Why Do Fools Fall In Love that was featured in American Graffiti. What was so sad was that he died in February 1968 and The Jackson Five auditioned for Motown in July 1968.
He had a beautiful voice on Seabreeze . I hate how they made him lip sync over the songs he sang as a child when he was a grown man. Kinda insulting. He could have soared had he been in the right hands.
Seabreeze is one of my favs by him. Its as if he's singing about his demise. Such a soulful yet spooky song imo.
i love seabreeze, i just wish he recorded more music with his “adult voice” bc it was beautiful
@@jaz1967 he has another one called “I’m Sorry” and maybe two more I forgot the names of them I like those too
Another rare of Frankie’s adult voice called Somewhere:

The entertainment industry is a dirty game👹🤛🏾💯
The way he tell stories is so funny. The stories be so real. He be making me laugh with his comments and laughter when they be getting played. Frankie Lyman story messed up. Drugs is a sad situation. It’s sad people go out like that. Stay sober. 💯

Love Love Love the vid....THANK YOU so much for keeping his memory alive....Frankie Lymon had balls of steel but people like that often live carelessly and so often it catches up with them
Listen to Frankie’s version of Over The Rainbow , simply amazing . Of course what he and The Teenagers did in their time together is legendary . Ronnie Dyson moved in across the street from me when I was a kid in Downtown Brooklyn in the 70’s , funny that you mentioned him .
You are a great great storytelling with a remarkable voice keep telling these stories God bless you Apostle Dr Matthews 😅

to live a life of craziness just to be taken out at 25 is sad to hear. RIP.
I hope you do more Accidental Demise stories Chris Lighty, Shakir Stewart, Prodigy, Kim Porter, Brandon Lee, Lee Thompson Young and Sean Levert
Yes he should
He did shakir Stewart and prodigy
If I'm not mistaken, I think he already did one on Chris Lights, Shakir Stewart, Prodigy & Lee Thompson Young.
Thanks for the great work! You should consider make a video about Dennis Wilson, the drummer of the Beach Boys
Thank you for the wonderful biographies that you’ve been doing I stumbled upon your page tonight for the first time I watched the story of Bobby Womack and then Frankie Lymon I am so impressed with the amount of knowledge that you’re able to share with us I am very impressed with the smallest details that means so much when you’re trying to paint a picture and when you’re trying to see that in your head as it was you know what I’m saying it’s like you give every detail so you don’t have to guess and I really appreciate that especially when you’re getting secondhand knowledge you know what I’m saying and even third hand knowledge but then two of the original teenagers were still alive to fill in some of the gaps which was awesome very appreciate it anyways I just want to say power to the people and this is a wonderful thing you got going on here with these biographies and I pray life in abundance of your ministry brother God bless you ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏾✊🏼✊🏾✊🏿✊🏽
I DEFINITELY want more parts to this story! Man, I really enjoyed it as always! Frankie was molested, & it's as I sad it was swept under the rug! Had he been a girl, she wouldn't have been called a wild "girl" with so much love....But again, I dig this!
Actually you are wrong she would have suffered more having to pretend and keep doing it men get away with under
Who's wrong???
@@DevanteMcDanielmany women we have learned was molested also and it was swept under the rug. People didn't talk about those things, remember back then what happens in this house stays in this house, that's why there is so much generational trauma now. However we also found out it has happened to men also, which men don't speak out about like a woman will.
