It's like you read my mind. Watching the race I wondered how it would be to ride the Black Snake on an Enduro bike and not at race pace. Thanks for sharing the experience!
Should definitely do some more of these videos. Amazing to see how difficult these courses are at slower speed but still about 50 times faster than I would try. To be honest, wouldn't even try in the first place. Nuts
I'm going to go ride down the gnarliest track ever on my enduro bike, in my clam-shell and zero pads.... oh and I'm going to do it blind as well. Good stuff!!!
Today (the day after you taped this), I rode the Val Di Sole bikepark on my 170/160 bike. I watched the finals and to be honest, never even considered the Black Snake rideable. I had an amazing day riding the other 3 bikepark trails which were quite rough enough and especially enjoyed the enduro trails that start all the way from the top of the next lift station above the bikepark. All the riders have my utmost respect for riding that damned trail. It's way, way beyond anything else I've ever seen
This would be cool to see for every World Cup track. After the race is over, just send it on an enduro bike so that viewers can understand the level of gnar that these tracks are
thanks for leaving in 'those parts' mr Brendan, the people who want to understand you points got it... excellent job, glad your leg is not giving you much trouble. wish you all the best to you and your family.
That was Awesome. We all know how tough that track was but watching a really good rider try it on an enduro bike really puts it into perspective. keep up the good work.
The pros make these tracks just look so easy on camera. Yet in reality they're gnarly as hell and you'd need to be a very accomplished rider just to make it down at all!
Great to see this ridden on an enduro bike! Track is super gnarly it's hard to realize when watching the race runs. One suggestion for Ben, as you talk about the next section, he could point the camera to it so we can see it as you describe it. Cheers!
that track looks ridiculous...now I have to go watch Loris Vergier's run again. would have loved to see you race this past weekend - can't wait for 2023. Have a great off season.
Really well presented Brendan, you have such a sunny disposition & speak clearly. Many could learn from your style. I fully understand what you mean about a track with no flow, having a course so rough that lots won't race it is not in anyone's interest IMO
Wow yes what a difference between a trails bike and a downhill bike, great video, makes you really appreciate how fast the downhill bikers go, Hopefully your be back competing next season, got a ticket for Saturday hardline, will be a first for me, can’t wait, shame your not racing this year, hopefully next year,👍😎
Everyone in the lift is probably wondering what that nutter is bombing down the WC track in that condition with a trail bike, no protection, and a lid... Really puts into perspective how crappy I am at mountain biking. lmao. Sick Bren.
@@teamdoa Well, I think he knows his limits pretty well considering he races the courses and is a rampage rider.. For me? Yeah no way I'm not, but that's just me. lol.
@@teamdoa I totally agree with that, 100% but I'd just say that a Helmet is the minimum. I can't even watch some BMX or Skate videos anymore and I grew up doing it. Knee pads, I can understand that one being on the fence as a mtber but I think most people just generally wear them because they already know it will save their kneecaps if they bail lol.
Nice video, you are crazy to ride the Black Snake with out knee pads or fullface. Anyway you are a legend you could ride this track even with a dirt jump bike.
Was over for the show. Walked the track and yes it is rideable but to race it a completely different ball game. Never seen so many pros still trying to figure it out in final day practice and that was the ones who got that far. I believe there's issues moving the track so hopefully they import truck loads of dirt into it over the winter for next year or my guess is the riders union will be having a chat
This is a breakout vid @BrenDog If you could think of a way of making this perspective a part of the DH season, it would be amazing. It brings what’s going on into the frame of reference of us lesser mortals.
Sick video! can you pls let me know if that is a 2022 X2 shock you have on the Ransom. I have the Ransom 910 and installed a 2022 X2 (from my ebike) but noticed it touched that bottom frame /rubber area and took it immediately out :)) it's true I did not remove that cable/bottom rubber stuff. Thx a lot in advance for the feedback.
As you say, the boys and girls (inc juniors!) generally make the tracks look less hard through preparation and skill. Also, the cameras don't capture the true terror either so sometimes us normal folk wonder if we might be able to totter down! This one however, looked absolutely terrifying from the word go and slowed the pros down so much I can say with confidence I'd have trouble walking down it! ...Then it looked worse on your vid Brendog..
Interesting to see a hardy enduro / trail bike really struggles. I suppose the camera doesn't do the terrain justice either. Eye opener that's for sure.
Over the race weekend I was thinking about how an enduro bike with withstand the black snake and damn, it doesn't look fun at all on either bike. More of a battle of you and your bike surviving rather than riding for fun
ya know, most of the time I'm like I'd atleast attempt alot of these tracks on a downhill bike, I've even gotten the chance to ride a couple of old world cup tracks (at nowhere near race pace) but watching this year's race and watching you ride it on thr Enduro all I can think is I'd definitely break atleast my prosthetic ankle if not alot more
I know this video is for the casual rider, but I know Brendog's skill level and he's not even wearing knee pads. Just being a bit overdramatic for the casual rider. If he wanted to rip down that right now, he'd haul ass and link it all together without all the "Whoa"s. Love y brother. Go back up and film a lap for us that know your skill level. :D
Not gonna lie that doesnt even look fun lol... I rode the WC track at MSA last weekend and despite also being rough and really techy, at least there's fun in there 😅
Hmm I understand u know what yer doin, but little safety knee n elbow pads made me cringe per the rock gardens there seem to be HUGE. Thanks tor continued content. I like these where the mountain humbles you. Then you conquer it.
Absolutely insane conditions for anyone. They seem to not care for any of the riders, especially world cup... speed, horrific. Just to line their pockets! Sad and sickening. Thank you, Brendan
It was a real honour to meet and talk to you there, you have always been one of my favourite riders and you were really friendly and kind. Thank you
It's like you read my mind. Watching the race I wondered how it would be to ride the Black Snake on an Enduro bike and not at race pace. Thanks for sharing the experience!
So gnarly, not even wearing knee pads! Really enjoy the vids you guys put out.
Should definitely do some more of these videos. Amazing to see how difficult these courses are at slower speed but still about 50 times faster than I would try. To be honest, wouldn't even try in the first place. Nuts
I mean BF has done some gnarly shit in his career and even this he's honest and humble. Great video man
I'm going to go ride down the gnarliest track ever on my enduro bike, in my clam-shell and zero pads.... oh and I'm going to do it blind as well. Good stuff!!!

Another amazing vid, it’s really interesting to see a professional point of view on these tracks. You should do a lot more of these types of vid.
The production on this is as sick as the riding, great work Benny and Bren!
This would be cool to see for every World Cup track. After the race is over, just send it on an enduro bike so that viewers can understand the level of gnar that these tracks are
Respect!! Half shell, and no pads!! 🤯
What a great video, frickin smiled and laughed
thanks for leaving in 'those parts' mr Brendan, the people who want to understand you points got it... excellent job, glad your leg is not giving you much trouble.
wish you all the best to you and your family.
Haha loved this guy's, gives us a proper idea of how knackered and gnarly that track is! Insane 🫣
This is just MENTAL!!
That was Awesome. We all know how tough that track was but watching a really good rider try it on an enduro bike really puts it into perspective. keep up the good work.
great vid, keep em coming!👍
I can't wait to see you back riding downhill contests next season!
How good would this be as a series next year? Maybe Brendog does Wcups on his hardtail 2023?
The pros make these tracks just look so easy on camera. Yet in reality they're gnarly as hell and you'd need to be a very accomplished rider just to make it down at all!
no? really??
dit wAllah
Brendog 🤟🤠 wicked jump at redbull
Loved this!
Awesome job! You really showed how tough that track is....crazy!
You win surviving to live another day lol. Nice run on the 170mm..looking forward to seeing you race next year
Absolutely awesome content Brendan. You put elite downhill racing into proper perspective.
Thanks for showing how f**** crazy this track is and how ridiculous good the boyz and girlz are! WOWOW!!
Great to see this ridden on an enduro bike! Track is super gnarly it's hard to realize when watching the race runs. One suggestion for Ben, as you talk about the next section, he could point the camera to it so we can see it as you describe it. Cheers!
thanks for your insights Brendan. That is eye opening and nothing for an amateur rider like me. I better stick to my photography
Love it Bren.
I like the no pads XC ride attitude.
Thank you for sharing .it’s amazing how people can ride a track like that at such high speed
Brilliant video.
Nice one ☝️ thanks 🙏
I love you Brendan, safety first always... your blooper tell it all. Drive safe on the way back! \w/
that track looks ridiculous...now I have to go watch Loris Vergier's run again. would have loved to see you race this past weekend - can't wait for 2023. Have a great off season.
Great video, enduro bikes have been getting so good it was making me wonder why have a DH bike, think you found the limits :-)
Cool video Bren 🤘🔥
Really well presented Brendan, you have such a sunny disposition & speak clearly. Many could learn from your style. I fully understand what you mean about a track with no flow, having a course so rough that lots won't race it is not in anyone's interest IMO
I liked your video and I give you a good like! keep it up
Haha epic. Great perspective. Thanks
Gnarly as…! 👊😎
Wow yes what a difference between a trails bike and a downhill bike, great video, makes you really appreciate how fast the downhill bikers go,

On flats..... what a boss 💥
And not a pad in sight 🤣
Absolutely loving the vids brendog
Can’t believe you didn’t even wear knee pads! Great video, really interesting perspective, thanks 👊
Everyone in the lift is probably wondering what that nutter is bombing down the WC track in that condition with a trail bike, no protection, and a lid...
Really puts into perspective how crappy I am at mountain biking. lmao.

Yes please i missed seeing you race!!!

I don’t catch every World Cup race… But I’m yet to miss a Val Di Sole! Gnarliest track of the year for sure!
Great perspective showing what it would be like on a bike that we normal people might ride...
Not even wearing knee pads, brave on a track that gnarly!
That’s just silly. Great vid as always.
This is a breakout vid @BrenDog If you could think of a way of making this perspective a part of the DH season, it would be amazing. It brings what’s going on into the frame of reference of us lesser mortals.
Phil atwill rode his enduro on the Walter belli memorial descent, you guys are gnarly!
Well done for creating the hammiest video on youtube 👌
Sick video! can you pls let me know if that is a 2022 X2 shock you have on the Ransom. How in the world did that trail bike stay intact! That's bravery on another level 😵😵
foukin gnarly 😵
Hay Dog it ain’t the bike it’s the socks that rode Black Snake!
Bren sends down the Black Snake with a damn half face helmet, no kneepads and just gloves. What a gigachad.
What a fool
we going to see you at rampage this year i cant wait your my fav?
Which bike is that?
🤔😵💫 impressive
I was watching this thinking "yeah I'd have a bash at that" then I remembered how good Brendan actually is on a bike...
Incredible. But am wincing watching ..... no pads even.
Interesting to see a hardy enduro / trail bike really struggles. I suppose the camera doesn't do the terrain justice either. Eye opener that's for sure.
If you made it look hard it’s a no go for us mortals!!!
Next time with the Hardtail?
Looks insane. I imagine it's also insane without all the 10cm thick dry slippery dust covering the entire area??? Wtf?? It needs water!
Thank you for your service 😂
Next time you should try it on a hardtail 😁.
did you guys see greenlands pogo tree slam? jesus...
Welcome to the party..
future i love seeing you and pilgs you two have great energy together but theres the lets get pilg to ride issue. lmfao you know what i mean.
Decent public trail I'd say haha Is this 40mm fork travel that big difference? Don't own DH bike , enduro only...
Tough track. Brendog:”hold my beer whilst I ride this without protection and open face helmet on an enduro bike”.
Over the race weekend I was thinking about how an enduro bike with withstand the black snake and damn, it doesn't look fun at all on either bike. More of a battle of you and your bike surviving rather than riding for fun

Any new merch dropping soon?
What was up with the colour grading in some shots? Looked really were sometimes
this trail looks like the apocalypse
Hehe, yet still no pads :D
This track makes Trespasser seem “doable” in comparison. Not by me, mind you, but by someone… 😂
I know this video is for the casual rider, but I know Brendog's skill level and he's not even wearing knee pads. Just being a bit overdramatic for the casual rider. Haha not on a enduro bike I wouldn’t it was just savage.
Where's your kneepads?? OMG just a pro like Brendan can do that!!
let s go dyfi
this is for the people who that an enduro can do everything a dh bike can (i am looking at you, gmbn)
Not gonna lie that doesnt even look fun lol... I rode the WC track at MSA last weekend and despite also being rough and really techy, at least there's fun in there 😅
If someone like Brendan thinks its a tough course then I think il stay well clear lol
Sorry .... all I could see was bare knees. More freaked out than watching Friday Fails
Decent track analysis Dog, explains the times etc now.
What is the new eyewear your wearing?
Mad and bad as usual, quality Brendog
Is Fairclough sponsored by Giant now?
Hmm I understand u know what yer doin, but little safety knee n elbow pads made me cringe per the rock gardens there seem to be HUGE. Thanks tor continued content. I like these where the mountain humbles you. Then you conquer it.
I’ve been doing the downhill ting since 2years old and I started off with a hardtail until the age of 14 it’s not that bad with a enduro
No knee pads? I don't get it.
Absolutely insane conditions for anyone. They seem to not care for any of the riders, especially world cup... speed, horrific. Just to line their pockets! Sad and sickening. Thank you, Brendan
would be interesting to see, what time Brendan could drive with his enduro after a few more runs on the track
6 minutes and 29 seconds I think
@@murfontoast Nah dude it would of been way faster than that maybe a 4min 20secs lol
Wear protections!!!!!
