But to be fair. Brendon could have gone way quicker off the track after crashing. Shaking mud off his clothes and talking to people while his bike is lying in the middle of the track...
Keep in mind, there's a high likelihood he's having to ride B practice, not A practice, so he's in with 80+ newbies or not quite readys. Just the sheer awe of a World Cup, let alone one that's straight the F down on a muddy day turns your local pro into a bumbling buffoon quick. Watch Cathro's helmet cam & realize he's had top 10 World Cup finishes. And Brendog baking a mud pie at mach chicken and "saying" he's ok isn't ok for most. Takes a minute to get your shlt together even if you're just fine.
@@hermesschade9276 Dude, give him a break... If you come off like that, it's always good to take it a little slow, as sometimes you can think you're fine, but the shock of the crash means you need 10 seconds or so to compose yourself and really know...
Yeah the uci need to get there shit together. Riders bikes being stolen, other riders blocking the track which are just a couple things I've noticed recently
No because they're dolts. They do it at the local downhill parks where I live as well. it's like they're in their own world... 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ It's a lack of self-awareness and a greater awareness of the world around them. Now on one hand I get that being so focused on something tends to reduce awareness on a personal and greater level. But that being said, you simply cannot forget that you are on a fecking active track.
Nice, after missing FW I thought you were done with the DH. Track walks are for whimps, real men just take a couple of otb's and carry on sending it! Glad you're all good and look forward to the next video.
Love the lines and the pace: how do you do that without the track walk? And those stragglers😱 Glad to see that pretty Monster Energy Hat’s OK and that the thigh’s up to a tumble 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Haha the hours behind you at the end was my aunts hours for a long time it was a small "hotel" but she sold it 2 years after my uncle died but happy to see that its still standing
All us mortals are pleased to see that even on the WC circuit theres still the occasional chump who decides to stop in the middle of the track round a blind corner or on the lip of a jump to have a chat or play with their bike for a bit.
From Bernard's video, the track walk seemed okay in the open section but boggy in the forest. There were some reckoning that it might be worse when it dries out, because the open sections would be dry but the forest would be rutted and boggy/swampy etc so tyre choice would be difficult! Don't think much is different from last time so that should help! At least, unless you land on a stump/root/rock, when you come off in the mud it's kind of soft! Pro's really earning it this round!
Brendan, good to see you back at the races. Missed watching for you at Fort William. You always put out great content. I hope the crashes were not too bad for you. How the hell do you keep those Five Tens so white? What version of the shoe are you using? Still the Impact? Looks like you have pace, so maybe keep missing those track walks. LOL.
Damn mud that changes the tracks and makes everything more insidious. sure that even those who are in the middle of the balls while you go down to hell, does not help .. Good luck in the race man! 💪👊
Why tf is everyone stopping in the middle of the trail just standing there with their bikes? Especially on a world cup track IN THE GREASY ASS MUD! Anyway, that shit looks gnarly af brendan! Great riding even with the spills!
Its cheaper to have somebody hose them steeds down. 😄 Doesnt really matter when you ride unless its so mucky that your wheels, brakes and drivetrain clog up.
Why are people standing carelessly in the middle of the track all time. Do they understand how a track works?

Great footage. Kudos for including the crash footage!
Nice, after missing FW I thought you were done with the DH.
Track walks are for whimps, real men just take a couple of otb's and carry on sending it! Glad you're all good and look forward to the next video.
Damn some big crashes amazes me how you guys go so fast in the wet!
Love when Needles is on the vlog, quality banter.. same when you are on his podcast, good chat!
Love the lines and the pace: how do you do that without the track walk? And those stragglers😱 Glad to see that pretty Monster Energy Hat’s OK and that the thigh’s up to a tumble 🥳🥳🥳🥳
the track hasnt changed at all so its not like theyre riding it blind
Good to see you back, thought you stopped riding dh. Good luck mate!!
Those conditions look insane! Glad you're ok after those big crashes.
Loved that, “I’m gonna give u a full run down…” bang🤣
That was epic, hope your doing well after some hard hits.
Wow. The things you'll do for what you love. Cheers for the entertaining vid. Stay warm. Will be cheering for you in the final.
So bad ass that you just attacked that sloppy mess blind. So fun to watch. Can’t wait for tomorrow.
not really blind considering the track has never changed
Classic new frame instead of cleaning one. This course looks gnarly as always. Good luck this weekend!
2 bangers!😳 that track is just one big mud slide!💩🏄🏼♂️
Play to your strengths Bren! The mud is a good leveller; it takes a lot of experience to ride fast in the mud!! Make sure you beat Bernie😉
That were some nice fast lines! Going to cheer at you tomorrow :D
Brutal. Good luck for Saturday mate 🤙
Hoping to see day 2. I loved the video.
Have fun out there! Thanks for the content!
Who would have thought a pair of goggles could be so funny. Keeping it real as always.
Best of luck for the race chap
That is complete madness!!
3rd time wet and sloppy conditions. You rode so well pushing looking for the win lines 🤯🙌🔥
Now that looks like fun 🤟🤟. Have a blast brendog 👍
Haha the hours behind you at the end was my aunts hours for a long time it was a small "hotel" but she sold it 2 years after my uncle died but happy to see that its still standing

These practice runs look crazier than the race runs sometimes just with all the pedestrian riders on the track

Pro's really earning it this round!

Reckoning? Hahaha
these bikes are getting so mental by the year. love how they look now.
I hope those crashes werent too bad. Good luck over the weekend!! I hope we get to see you at the top!

Bucket and spade for mud pies more like!
theyre pretty restricting
You got this shit brother, Lets gooooo!!
good work, good luck!
Hey Brent what tire pressure are you running
bloody hell that looks tough
That’s some good pace without even walking the track before
@Brendan Fairclough are you running the waterproof Resist pants in practice or your Ultra's?
Damn mud that changes the tracks and makes everything more insidious. sure that even those who are in the middle of the balls while you go down to hell, does not help .. Good luck in the race man! 💪👊
insestuous
What are those 2 black round things that u put on the side of ur goggles?
MudFest 2022!
Top rider and mechanic
Yewwwww!!
Crazy Leogang
Lets go Brendog🔥🚀
So 3 min on track gives you 3 hours of cleaning afterwards. Looks fun.
Sick video

Anyway, that shit looks gnarly af brendan! Great riding even with the spills!
dude u r the fn man
achtung baby !!
Glad to see riders stopping in really stupid places also happens at the pro level - not just at trail centres.
Grip not found
🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
I think the guys standing on the course maybe crashed and were trying to get themselves together to continue
nah they were just looking at the track
Imagine the admin of being a privateer when tracks are as wet as that!
Loin Bruni in the comments ?
hero
put screen wipers on the glasses lol
Has anyone tried any of these ceramic coatings that repel water and mud on the their MTB? I just wondered if they would work.
Its cheaper to have somebody hose them steeds down. 😄
Doesnt really matter when you ride unless its so mucky that your wheels, brakes and drivetrain clog up.
shout out 2the gondola cleaners
Mudder’er’er!
It’s time to move the tape over 20 meters and create a new course. 🤷🏼♂️
14:06 Buuump
The mechanics must hate the muddy runs.
Disco mud braking :)
🙈🙈🙈😂😂😂
You would think racers would know not to stand in the way. Lol
Looks sloppy hope it dries for you
Leogang just isn't your spot, homie. Hope your leg's okay.
