We've actually met Rich and the camera guy on that very day doing the Sella Ronda circle ourselves. They were both really cool and were absolutely bombing it! Specially the camera guy, right on Rich's tale the whole time. Hehehe, I even had my GMBN jersey with me that day! :) SellaRonda is just epic BTW.
@@nickpphotographyuk3068 Ooohh Nick, cheers mate! :) Yeah, It was a blast. A very, very cool moment indeed! I've said to you and I'll say it again, as a video creator myself I was way more impressed by your riding with that heavy back pack than with Rich's. :) The route is just epic though isn't it? We just made it in time for the last gondola. And a couple who were staying in our hotel made it by probably like 25 seconds to spare. :) Did you spot the group of e bikers with a guide? Probably just behind our little group. Their guide was on a normal bike, obviously a local, he was bombing it like hell! Anyway! I hope the pints were good that evening. :) They were well deserved indeed. :) Cheers!
@@rognevs5695 Well done! It's a great trip! Yes. You can buy a single center pass like Val DI Fassa, Val Gardena, Alta Badia or or entire Sellaronda pass. You can even buy entire Dolomiti pass if you wish. In Sellaronda you then have 2 choices to go clockwise or cuonterclockwise. I believe cuonterclockwise involves more uphill pedalling than clockwise.
Yep. Mountainbiking. With all the comotion on the planet..., makes you gonna re-think "life" itself doesn't it while riding a bike surrounded by beautiful scenery. Love and ✌🏾 to you all and happy riding everybody. And Rich..., you're awesome Dude.
This is an amazing area. Did the Sella Ronda in 2016 as a road bike route one day and MTB Alta Badia trails the next. (no lift or e-bike of course) Lots of hiking as well. Unbelievable scenery. Love this area and hope to go back again. Thanks Rich and crew for making this video. I highly recommend this area. Was told by a local to avoid as a snowboarder.
this is why i love les gets, Morzine, and that whole region. you are staying in les gets, take the lift up to go to Morzine, then go up the next and end up in Chatel, wherefrom you can continue to champery and then turn back and do the other trails going the other way. and then each individual bike park has on average like 2 slopes and 6-8 trails, in total they must have over 30 lift excisable-world class trails of all difficulties, you never get bored, it's just insanely amazing
That looked an epic day out Rich. The Dolomites are stunning (had my Honeymoon there but no mountain biking) The cow 🐮 comment was 🤣🤣🤣 Great stuff #GMBN 🤘
What amazing your! Done last Wednesday in a perfect weather and terrain conditions… wide smiles all the time! Great video which shows very well the entire tour!!
Watch out what you wish for. Chair lifts are cool and all, but to have them there is a price to pay, and it's not the ticket for the ride. To justify the costs of a chair lift there must be a big business going in the area, which means you will start seeing a lot of man made work on the mountains and the area around it. Nothing wrong with that of course, but if you like your Scottish mountains rough, wild and as nature made them, you might want to climb up with your legs. Neither of the two choices is wrong, just keep that in mind :)
What trails they looked awesome, Rich, looked like plenty fun was had 😊😊🏴🏴

Ooh god, this reminds me so much of my one ride I did in the alps while on a conference. It was a great time, but slightly shorter.. one lift and maybe two hours of riding.
5:50 glad to see they put a bar there, I had an epic fall last year after taking that small bridge too fast - unexpected jump + gravelly landing and OTB I went
so epic, but i miss those ride done on multiple days like those done by Neil and Blake two years ago... blake fly fishing and riding on the same days... that's another kond of epic day!
It's an absolutely breathtaking scenery. Been riding the Sellaronda Hero Marathon three times, and each one was an outstanding experience. Have to return though with the Enduro bike I guess ;-)
I never even thought about it until he said the camera man has his E-bike all charged up, but those are probably incredible for them. Would making lugging any gear up the mountain much easier, and I'm sure they're good riders, but it probably helps them with keeping up with these professionals.
Ive had exactly(!) the same problem on my shimano brakes a week a go. Got up to elevation (from sea level to 1400m), transporting the mtb in the car, and upon arrival fluid leaked out the front brake lever. No brake power left. Needed to clean it and do a full bleed from the bottom up to get it working again. I thought it was a goner, but it seems to be working ok for now. It has something to do with going to elevation (lower outside air pressure) and the angle at which the brake lever is transported. if you keep the lever normal horizontal, you dont get the leakage (at least that is my observation for now).
@@McSchwabl I bet you have no trouble getting conversations going at the track. I try to stay low key with anything flashy but I like to see others letting it shine.

what an epic ride. Awesome vid, now i want to go there. Also, how tf do you unclip so effortlessly? I have to fight my crankbrothers pedals to get out, so I just keep tipping over bah.
