Part Number for Monkey Wrench Racing Brass Shifter Cable Bushings MWR-410815
As my shifter has been very sloppy I’ve finally took the initiative to address it. I still plan to get a short shifter assembly but man did this make a huge difference. Strongly stiffens the throws and you know exactly what gear you’re going into. Truly is a Night and Day Transformation.
Thanks for watching guys catching you guys soon.

I have that shifter bushing kit. It's great! I recommend a ppe header, reflash and lightweight flywheel. It'll surprise you what it's capable of

Would you be able to give the measurements for this bushing? It's not available in my country, I'm going to ask them to make it.

Hey bro, how long was the process with r9k? Did it take a couple days from when you shipped it out and got it back?

Carlos Chavez It took about 2 weeks. I decided to send out my personal ECU, have it reflashed and shipped back. If you want it quicker you gotta pay a core deposit I believe, so they can send you one ASAP. After they get yours they’ll refund you the core for my understanding.

Does replacing these 2 bushings help it to go into gear smoother with no notchiness...???

I have the dreaded common 1st to 2nd shift in lift problem. Wondering if this would make it better?

    • @gansitoheimperformance271

Like it falls out of lift?

    • @weaponisedpotato7352

@@gansitoheimperformance271 yes because the shift is so notchy and doesn't like sliding smoothly from 1st to 2nd between 6200-8200 rpm

I got my ECU retuned with R9K. With the new tune I have lift engage at 6k instead of 7k. These Bushings will help a lot though, guiding you in the right gear for sure.

@@gansitoheimperformance271 if I had the money I'd get my lift set to 5500 and raised to 8500 with the addition of stronger valve springs/aftermarket ecu etc.

@@weaponisedpotato7352 got my ecu tuned to engage from 5800 and redline to 8500. You wont feel anything from lower than 5800 but it definitely makes a big difference not falling out of lift between shifts

Toyota is famous for making the worst feeling manual shifters in the world. I wish it wasn't true but my 09 S drives like trash lol

I had an old 97 camry with the v6 and the super rare 5 speed manual, one of the best shifters I've EVER used. By comparison, the 07 corolla my mom drives feels like jamming a fork into a garbage disposal.
