My friend, thank you for posting this. 2010 Skoda fabia 1.6tdi, engine JAYB. The symptoms were a flashing glow plug light and going into limp mode when attempting overtakes or brisk acceleration, this would clear on cycling the ignition but would return again when accelerating. Vcds scan provided error code p2563. Unfortunately my Delphi diagnostics was not working on my laptop but you showed on yours the same error code. I changed my turbo actuator and as you describe the vacuum was not holding when the rod was moved. Changed it and seems like its worked. A suggestion for others attempting a similar replacement. When removing the actuator the rod is connected to the turbo using the long rod and two nuts. I used a Halfords flexible ended spanner to get to the bottom nut. I used the same tool with a bit of tape to hold the nut into the spanner end to then allow me to screw the actuator onto the nut which was being held in place at the bottom by my spanner/tape. Other tools used was an Allen key socket, ratcheting 3/8 wrench and a suitable swivel universal joint adaptor to help with the right space.
Amazing video mate. I have changed the actuator for another one I bought on eBay but I have same error message on my Skoda Fabia but not as often as I used to have it. What can it be the cause of the problem? A bad part? Noticed that when i go for a long hot run, engine management will clear up but glow plug signal could randomly come either when car is too cold or when going in between 3rd and 4th gear.
When a new actuator is properly replaced, would the EPC sign on the dashboard come off, or does it have to be reset with an external monitor plugged in to the car electronic system?
Hello, I have the same problem with the same code but it is written turbo boost sensor circuit. I changed the actuactor and glow plugs still come on? Audi A4 B8 2.0 TDI CAGA 2009
Hi Brother, i am getting P256300 : TURBOCHARGER BOOST CONTROL POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE. MY CAR IS AUDI A5 1.8TFSI 2013. Can you please advise what that is? Or what should i do to fix it? Pretty please 🙏🏻
Check out the actuator located on the turbo because its petrol engine I think it's electric actuator when you start the engine actuator should move if not then probably you have to replace it
Hello, i got P2565 when i start vehicle with message "Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit High" and in driving P2563 with message "Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance", car is Peugeot 407 2.0 HDI 136hp. What you think that it can be?
According to this fault codes probably vacuum actuator on the turbo you have to check for vacuum leak and check the wiring of the sensor on top of vacuum actuator
@@mechanicigor Thanks for reply. I changed vacuum lines for air dosers and from solenoid to actuator, but it is same. I tried to bypass solenoid to check does actuator rod move at all, so i connect one line directly from vacuum pump to actuator, and i had boost all time i drive, but i think it goes to overboost. When i try to move actuator rod by hand on idle, it is inpossible, only 1-2 milimeters, is it normal? And when i drive with full gas all time, i don't lose boost, if i try to drive normal, after few minutes i loose boost, and it is back when i turn off and turn on car :O
@Anthony did you check the vacuum actuator movement on the turbo when you start the engine actuator should move all the way down if not its going to make this fault code and when you bought another turbo (which I think you shouldn't ) did it have vacuum actuator on it or you installed yours
Guys the last minute of the video when he pulls the hose in and out and the rod goes up and down, so after replacing my turbo and a brand new n75 valve, as soon as I connect the pipe just like he did the rod goes all the way up and my engine dies within 10 to 15 seconds it's allmost looks likes goes int to overboost, what did I do wrong?
Si eu am eroarea P2563, am citit pe net ca este problema la actuator, am facut ca tine, am.scos furtunasul de vaccum, si face exact la fel ca tine cu asta bun, inseamna ca actuatorul functioneaza nu? always wonderful videos, you know which is the part number? I've seen some ending with F, R or A at the end
I don't know because different type uses different letter that I can find out with chassis number at vw dealer

Depends on the system on some cars you have to use diagnostic tool

If it is sensor circuit then you have problem with wires that's why is explained in the beginning to check if the problem is mechanical or electrical

I’m getting the same issue as Circuit. What did you do? How did you solve yours Bowi?
