Good find. I find this problem alot on sprinters where they have 4 component's that use a vacuum supply. And when on starts losing vacuum it bring fault codes up for the other components. 👍👍
Now that I mention it, I remember watching that one. I enjoy watching your videos, sooner or later I could be in a similar situation on a car myself. Sometimes we have to think outside the box to diagnose. Thanks mate
Nicely done Matt. Might be as well just to put a whole EGR valve on it. They’re not to bad to do, they’re prone to failure anyway and the coolers get choked with carbon too. Probably best long term for the customer. Top diag 👍😎
Hello, I thought I will get there too but my egr hold vacuum too… I just need to check the voltage which I didn’t have yet. I had bought new actuator and waiting to be fix soon. Same error code, also the booster selenoid cut off the vacuum and goes in limp mode. This just give me headaches. Everyone point me to a new turbo which I know is not that
FANTASTIC THINKING ,,,,,,,,, COULD YOU SHOW THE USE OF THE RESISTANCE BOX A BIT MORE AND HOW YOU USE IT MORE IN YOUR DIAGNOSIS ,,,,,,,,YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO VERY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
What's the yellow connectors you're attaching to each cable? They appear to be small current clamps but I cannot find anything similar to buy. Do they clip on, or do they actually splice into the cable?
Hi Ryan, I was giving to T in, and check the vacuum supply to the solenoids. I ended up finding the vacuum leak first and I didn't get round to checking the vacuum supply from the pump. However it would have been good to know the difference, with or without that hose clamped off. Cheers Matt
I hat same problem last veek but in my case problem whas brake light swhich on dhe master cilinder i put another brake swich iside off dhe car and i fixet dhe problem .bye .
Howdy! Wv Polo 1.2 Tdi has error P2564 signal too weak! The turbocharger was overhauled. Before the refurbishment it had no error. What can be the cause? Has the sensor been decalibrated and the signal has dropped below the minimum threshold? Actuator rod has no adjusting nuts!
Yes, I solved it! The center where the turbocharger was refurbished changed the actuator to an aftermarket one. The problem was that he put an incompatible one!!! That is, it had the position sensor response values reversed. I went to another center and they changed the actuator again with a compatible one this time. The position sensor values now when everything is ok are: for actuator not actuated - 3.265 volts, and for actuator actuated at maximum - 0.417 volts. I operated the actuator with a vacuum pump, I turned on the ignition, and the values were taken directly at the sensor with the multimeter.
Top man matt I've the identical fault code after fitting a brand new turbo . .I. assuming actuator not set right or faulty as wasn't a fault till turbo was fitted . Fuming as not the best job to change
I really enjoy you’re videos Matt you’re such a clever guy and very knowledgable good to have guys like you in this ever evolving trade 😊
Thanks David

Thank you for the video it helped me a lot
Thanks. I will try to find problem in my car tomorrow ;)
Thank you, you saved me lots of time,!! And a big headache!!
Thanks for watching
Good diagnosis Matt, I had exactly the same issue on a 2017 Movano that i uploaded. But it had me thinking for a while. Well done mate 💪💪

@@mechanicmatt871 fault codes don’t tell you what’s wrong all the time 🤔🤔
hello , thank for video
Great diagnosis Matt had me scratching my head that one would have taken me a long time figure out👍
Great diagnosis matt bet most people would of knocked turbo

Yeah I agree, change the whole thing. Thanks for watching
Good thinking, showing a very good understanding of how a system works, excellent.
Thank you
Do you have picture or video about the mesuring points?

Good working out. Well deserved cuppa after all that brain Power.
This was one of those jobs, that you can't just read a fault code and put the part on. Thanks for watching

No probs mate, I'll show settling it up next time I use it. Cheers Matt
Hi does your powerscan have ossilerscope mode.Great video thanks.
It has a basic graphing mode, it's ok. However it's not a good as a scope. Cheers Matt

Hi mate, did you check the actual vacuum readings with a mityvac?

Matt is that a pp100 / ps100 or ps100 tester

Hello so what was the probleme ? Im french and i have same default on my audi a3 p2563
It was a vacuum leak on the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve. Causing low vacuum for the turbo solenoid. Thanks for watching
@@mechanicmatt871 Thank you so it change the EGR valve? I also have the preheating light which flashes intermittently, I have no loss of power.
