- This is the installation, tips, and overview video of the Teyes CC3 head unit in my 2008 Lexus GX470. There is a lot to this head unit so I’ll be putting out more videos about it in the future. How have I never seen this product until now? Ive been searching for the perfect head unit. Modern hardwear, nice design, plug and play, and not CRAZY overpriced. I like that it has physical buttons thats a HUGE plus for me vs the phoenix automotive Tesla style head unit. Great video dude 👍
Thanks for the Touch Assistant tip. That really helps to have a quicker access to the HVAC settings. I have a T'Eyes CC3 in my LS430 and I think I'll put one in my 99 LC.

Great video helped me a ton! I do have one problem though, when trying to get to the temperature adjustment. I have the little button down at the bottom but when I tap it, it doesn’t go to temperature but instead just brings up a small menu with “settings, accelerate, common, home, apps. Butnothing to be found about temperature.

Great video, do you integrate your car’s gps antenna into the unit and do the gps apps in the unit work with it? I’m rural and can’t be connected to wifi or cellular and want to use gps only for navigation. Your experience?
Can you please tell which wire color for rear view camera?
Do your factory parking sensors (if you had them) work with the CC3?
Hi, did you had to wire a reverse signal wire separately or it worked out of the box? also does the unit shows you an opened door(s)?
Great video. How is it holding up? Also, does the steering wheels controls(Volume, etc) still work?
It is still working great! You have to setup the steering wheel controls but they are fully customizable so you can make them do a number of different things
Any comment on its multitasking? I often use navigation and music together, wonder if the UI can handle it well.

Do you know how to turn up and down the volume using the screen instead of the steering wheel?
Great video. Just got mine today and had some issue installing it. On the CANBus did you plug in both ends. There are two plugs on the CANBus did you use both of them? I think I got everything to work but it takes a bit to load so I wasn't sure if I mess something up on the CANbus side. When the car has been off for more than 5 or 10 mins, it takes a little bit to load. Does yours take a while to load? I change my first boot logo to Lexus. Then I get the Starwars T'eyes screen thing. Then a wait load bar. Then it boots into the main screen. Is yours the same? Thanks.
Mind doesn’t take long to load at all, I’d reach out to Teyes and see if they can help, not sure what’s be causing that other than a hardware issue. Their WhatsApp contact is really responsive.
Can anyone please help me? The menu where you can make the car selection Suzuki is not listed ( I have Suzuki Kizashi) No steering wheel buttons work either. Do i need to update or what can i do?
I mean...Suzuki is not that unusual so i think it is strange that it is not choosable
Nice video.. I had mine installed at a car stereo installer. They could not get the 360 cameras to work, and worse, my AC doesn't turn on. They couldn't figure out how to get sound working either but I ended up messing with some sound settings to get it to work. What is the proper way to reset the Teyes unit if the reset button is behind the face plate. Will resetting to NULL in Canbus help with the AC controls.
Swipe down from the top of the screen to get to reset or power off options.
What front facing camera are you using?
I have this head unit installed in my 2008 infiniti g35s and i cannot get the snowflake to pop up on the screen for climate control. I can turn my air on but i can’t adjust the temperature of it so its just blowing hot air constantly. I tried to do what you said but it still will not show the snowflake on my screen.

It does not work with the original backup camera. I bought a front and rear camera from Teyes. The front works awesome and is mounted right under my rear view mirror. I have not installed the rear camera yet.

The tape deck is completely removed with this.

I got most of mg CC3 installed well, but when I call people, the recipients say they have a hard time hearing me.
Have you had any issues with your microphone? Any idea how to increase the mic input volume?
What about wiring ???? Seems the are some connector are not gonna be connected right?
Hey brother, I have same exact product and I was having trouble installing it. I have 2006 GX470. Would you be able to show how you plug the connections in the back, like which cable to use and not to use. Appreciate it.

What did you set your factory volume to prior to installing your T'eyes unit? I'm tried just about everything and sound is distorted and not nearly as good as the factory sound.
Take a look on Reddit. I don't really know anything about it, but I did see one guy post something about finding settings on Reddit that helped get the sound quality back.
Hi. How come when i installed mine. The climate controls doesnt work. Even thr one on the screen.
How do you rate it now? Heard the mic is trash?

I got the 6g version. For only a few bucks more it made sense to me to get the top model.
What additional components are included besides the head unit? Antennas, DAB, wiring harness for specific car model, CANbus, etc. If not included, what is the extra cost for each component?
All wiring, canbus is included. Optional stuff is high res back up camera, 360 camera, external usb, external mic. All very cheap. I got he highway unit with everything except 360 camera for 600 shipped. It is advanced installation though and very hard to get everything to fit. It’s a lot of wiring

Honestly, I haven’t ever used the CD player before or after installing this. I’ll try and remember to test it soon and report back.
I have the same Headunit for my GX470
Planning to install it very soon, it would be much appreciated if you could post the rear camera location and install. I plan to install a rear tire carrier which interferes with the stock location, so I need to figure out where to install it…
I haven’t gotten around to installing the rear camera yet. I’ll post a video on the channel once I do!
Can you put teyes cc3 in any vehicle
Got the headunit ready to go back in but have no idea how the factory metal brackets line up on the CC3 unit?
I was only able to attach the metal brackets to the cc3 at the top with a couple of the screws that were taken out. I couldn’t use any of the other hardware. I think I mentioned this in the video, hopefully that helps
Did yours come with a pcb that says Toyota-air_con? I can’t see where one ends connection goes also my steering controls all say 255.

Great video, I setup my canbus and steering works heater works car door opening works without going to steering wheel settings, I did notice that I could not go up and down on my phone contacts and select who like to phone. So went into steering control and I screen is static and will not allow me to change or even touching my steering wheel switches it shows nothing. Please help

Hey, quick question for you. I recently installed the CC3 on my Lexus. I noticed the climate control pop-up widget that shows up when you make changes to the climate settings, if I leave my climate in AUTO mode, then randomly this pop-up widget will keep appearing as if I made a change to climate settings. I haven't actually made a change but the AUTO mode actually makes regular changes to things like the fan speed and air flow direction. I think when that happens the CC3 sees it as a user changed settings. It's rather annoying. Wondering if you experienced this? Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue. They should have coded it that if fan speed or air direction changes and it's on AUTO mode then chances are the car is making the adjustment and so it should ignore popping up
Hi
The climate pop up simply gives the user visual confirmation of any changes to the ac controls. Since auto mode changes the airflow settings repeatedly to maintain certain climate setting, you keep getting the pop up.
My advice is to keep the ac on manual.
My climate control is not working. Can you help me understand what am I missing here. My steering controls work but not my AC

My AC is working based on OEM settings before I removed it and installed the Teyes. I can't control it on the Teyes. Both the hard buttons and app don't have any effect. Any ideas?

Hi, did you need an extra Canbus adapter or that the A/C control and other native stuff is built in?
Nope, everything was plug and play with the harness that came with the head unit.

Were you able to keep your mark levinson amp connected?
Yes, All my factory speakers, amp and sub still work just fine. Well the speakers and sub are blown (future project) but that’s not the fault of the head unit!
I'm looking for AUDIO reviews for Lexus GX470 that has the Mark Levinson system & native GPS with the Teyes CC3 as a new head unit.
I didn’t notice the audio get worse or better with the Teyes installed. I have blown speakers and am far from an audiophile so sorry I couldn’t be more help!

So do the physical temp buttons at the bottom not work if you have to use the touchscreen snowflake?
All the physical buttons work but there is no physical button for temperature adjustment. You have to adjust temperature on the screen

How’s the Apple CarPlay or android auto on the cc3? Any lag?
I’ve only used the apple CarPlay both wired and wireless and it works perfectly. My only comparison is my wife’s 2017 Ford Explorer and it is every bit as fast as that. No lag.

There is a link in the video description, and yes it has apple CarPlay and works in a 2004 Lexus GX470 as long as your GX has the factory navigation screen.

Can you change temperature to F instead of C?
I do not think so. Atleast I haven’t figured out how to.
Did sound quality improve with new head unit?
It’s hard for me to tell because my speakers are all old and many are blown.
So I installed yesterday. My physical AC buttons work, and my snowflake is on screen. But none of the on screen AC controls work so I can't mess with the temperature. Any ideas?

Yes, that is the biggest negative so far. I have heard of others finding a way to permanently keep a volume adjustment on the screen, but I haven't figured that out yet. I just use my steering wheel controls for all volume adjustment.
Is the camera not plug and play? You actually have to rewrite the whole thing?
The rear view camera you have to install on the back door and rewire all the way to front head unit. The front facing camera is plug and play, just have to conceal the wiring.

I had a shop try and install this unit today in my 2007 (ML Nav) GX470 and they couldn't get the HVAC controls to work, the up and down controls on the steering wheel were backwards and the volume was way too low despite maxing the volume out on the factory unit before unplugging it. Pretty disappointed, contacted Teyes about returning it.
That’s a bummer, I’m sorry you’ve had issues. There are some videos out there how to fix the hvac issue. Not sure about the steering wheel controls issue, I didn’t have any trouble setting mine up.

Hello friend,
I recently installed the teyes cc3, everything works as expected except the HVAC.
there are several problems with it
1. it does not turn off
2. I cannot adjust the temperature
3. I cannot change to outside air
4. auto button does not work
5. defoggers buttons for front and rear windshields don’t work
other than that the airflow speed works fine, mode button works and A/C button works as well.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Having the same issue.. no sound no AC..
@@yuelee2324 hi, my car mechanic forgot to plug the car’s ac to one of the cc3’s plugs. After that was done the ac controls were fully functional.
Keep in mind there are two connectors, one is for the fan speed and ac mode and the other is for temp control, auto, off, and defoggers etc.
As for the sound, I disconnected the original amplifier of my car and got the wires of the car’s speakers connected directly to the built in sound system of the cc3. Now they sound amazing. Clear, loud and with decent bass.

A few hours
Seems risky if no US support. Especially shipping time and costs! I got a full 10.6 Phoenix Tesla style screen and have had for a year in my 2004 GX. Twice the size of this and same controls and US Support out of California that I used a couple of times and they always came through for me.
I have been quite happy with the support I have had to this point but that is a reasonable concern. I am keepping all the factory compenants so it is fully reversable.

How to change to Fahrenheit vs Celsius?
Somewhere in settings. I haven’t been able to get the HVAC screen to change out of Celsius tho.
@@okadventures21 I checked with T'Eyes and they responded there is no degF setting option for HVAC control. Only Celsius.

Only problem with these videos on these Android head unit is nobody ever has an aftermarket amplifier and component speakers ,or subwoofer. Like... it's a stereo number one! How is the sound compared to Kenwood Pioneer Sony?
Otherwise you might as well just get a cheap deck and magnet a tablet to your dash. Cheaper more reliable and you can remove the tablet for security
I have the ML sound system and have some blown speakers. The head u it didn’t make the sound better or worse.
