- I have had the Teyes CC3 9 inch android head unit in my non-iDrive BMW E82 1 Series for almost 2 years now, and here is my overview and review! It is also compatible with the e9x, it just uses a different bracket so make sure you get the correct one!

Best thing to do is video record the known errors and email or google drive them a link and let them see it for what it is.. and send them logs so they see where the error crashed the unit.

Another thing to try is to reflash the unit as it could be just a slight bug or a bad firmware copy.
The new update seems to have fixed the restarting issue and well as the theme changing issue. A new issue has arose where the unit goes to notification settings after restart, but I have now set the unit to open carplay right after, so it’s not that big of an issue! Thanks for the comments!

I have couple of questions regarding the teyes head-unit as i already have sheep one:
Is the blotooth supports stereo high-definition audio? In the headunit i have, I get the stereo audio only if I play the track from MP3 USB using the music app. Will I face this issue again with teyes head unit?
I will have to check this for you friend. I only use CarPlay and Spotify app on the Teyes so I am not sure about Bluetooth audio
How did you get your boot logo to work. I have the cc3 2k one can't get the boot logo.

Is the audio output better than the stock head unit?
It’s equal, if not better than the stock head unit. I have the logic7 sound system
I like it teyes graphics all that but I heard many issues I want it buy the cc3 2K 6/128gb but I know yet is another one out Lenovo 510 2k 8/128gb but the graphics is not the same:(
Yeah the reason I love the Teyes are for the graphics, the other ones are not up to par. I will say personally I’ve installed 3 Teyes units with no issues after install but I have also heard of other people having issues as well
@@AshwinLB so I just buy it one , the sync contacts in unit is taking forever! When I am calling over bluetooth in background is a noise shh is a options to not doing that to be clean I am talking not when are you on call before answering the phone when you call someone! The display is to bright at night, and all is lowest zero
@s7aaa7 interesting, I only use CarPlay so I’m not sure how bt calling is. Regarding the brightness, I can see why you might think it’s too bright

Yes you can. You can access it anytime from the main menu

Were you able to figure out how to stop the beeping on boot up? Mine drives me crazy.
No the beeping is thru a speaker integrated into the canbus module and the sound can’t be changed. Honestly I got used to and don’t even realize it’s there

There is also another headunit similar to this called the ownice k7.
Yes I noticed there are a lot of units that have use the same hardware but just have a different software. I chose the Teyes since I think it has the nicest looking user interface
Does not work with 2019 Subaru outback with hk.
Why doesn’t it work?
The hk amp won't turn on. The wiring is not correct on teyes to turn the amp on.
@@gsnair I would figure out what the remote turn-on wire for the amp is and wire it in to the accessory power wire on the Teyes headunit, it is pretty simple no soldering skills required. I had to do extra wiring for my HK amp as well because Teyes just makes the harness to hookup to the base sound system, not anything upgraded like HK
@AshwinLB I cannot figure out the wire. I have googled and cannot find the right 2 wires that can turn on the amp. If you have any suggestions let me know.
@gsnair it looks like on the 2019+ outback with HK, it’s not possible to remote turn it on without a iDatalink ADS-MRR2 or CRUX SWRSU-38D interface with ANY aftermarket headunit due to the way the factory headunit interfaces with the amp to turn it on. If you look on the crutchfield website, it shows you what you need to retain HK amp and other factory features

I HATE this thing. I've had nothing but frustration with mine. It'll work great for weeks, and then suddenly, for no reason, lose some functions or change some settings. There is no support available, and the settings menus are an indescribable maze as if I could ever figure out how to undo the crap this thing does to itself. A total piece of crap. Avoid this junk.
I’ve had it for 3 years no issues, but obviously that doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Do you have the 6gb variant?
