    A few people asked where I bought the bolt kit for the rear beam. I didn’t buy a kit. I ordered the bolts separately from eBay

    Should always use a big socket to punch the dust seal in or an old bearing race

    The work you have done without referral to a Haynes manual.. (they were the books to have, back in the day for me, and I'm sure many other car enthusiasts).

      haynes are crap these days, couldn't believe it when I bought one recently for the van. You can't get a book it's all online with a small selection of specs (the ones I needed were missing) and the instructions videos you got access to were generic, absolutely useless. Got a refund. nothing like the actual book I got for my bike, it showed you how to do everything and had just about every torque setting in. youtube is the best place these days (or the worst) and the internet has probably been the end for haynes

    Red wouldn't be my first choice but it definitely grows on you. They must be quite rare as I haven't seen many. Would look good on original wheels

    I love your videos and that fuel filler panel repair turned out fantastic!!! But im not joking when i say that my jaw dropped when i realized you were using an electric drill to clean the threads with a tap into aluminum!!! Please do that by hand. Cant wait to see the new garage setup

    i just tap those bearing races in with a race driver,it gives a better feel when they are fully seated,also put them in the freezer overnight so they almost drop in

      Puller was a great idea but it should have been machined as 2 flat discs to pull on the outer face of the races meaning there was zero chance of marking the surface the roller bearings are running on.

    Well done to your efforts mate, been there many a time lol. Hats off to you for the Diff mount, and GGR bushes in the rear arms as you did it right, so many people used to just fit shitty powerflex bushes and then destroy the back end handling. !!!!!!

    I used the powerflex full car kit on my focus & Vibratechnics mounts. They are spot on, not too hard but noticeably firmer.

    Forget using copper slip, get yourself a tube of duralac this is what is used on aircraft and yachts when you have different metals contacting each other’s surface best thing on the planet and not that expensive only need a tint bit really 💪💪

    Nice work. Suggest you fit the outer control arm bolts the other way around so you can get them out insitu.

    I would of cleaned the powder coating off the bolt mounting faces also when bolting the hub up as powder coating is thick and can become loose over time apart from that I would say that's a cracking job mate.

    I would mark all nuts and bolts, that you had tighten to the spec with the paint marker or small brush and paint, so you know where you are

    looks like you didnt pack the rear wheel brearings good enough they should be packed with full of grease so you can see the grease pushing out ;)

    Mate its so good seeing you proper go to town improving your Escort Cosworth, you will end up with one of the best in the UK! So good to see you cutting no corners and truly giving this beautiful motor the attention that it so rightly deserves. The love you have for these classic, legendary cars is blatant and so good to watch. These cars should be in the hands of proper owners like you and not some posh knobhead overprivileged twat that has only bought the car due to its reputation or as a potential investment and for not for genuine love for the breed. Your Cossie is superb and red will always be my favourite colour for a nice motor, so this is perfect!

    Your doing a good job Adam but if you put the bearing shells in the freezer for an hour they should drop into place without forcing them in.

    bearing race in the freezer. hit the hub with a blow torch to warm it up, bearings drop straight in, no tools required!

    If shit has hit the fan rent a conex container and put the full work shop in it even the furniture from the house, its not as expensive as you would think. Hope all is well bud

    Should be using a thread chaser not a tap, taps are sharp and the dirt can cause the tap to cut and make the thread loose, just saying

    Maybe a suggestion but if you put the bolt for the trailing arm in from the other side you won’t need to drop the rear beam to remove the trailing arm in the future.

    I would have used a 50/50 mix of diesel and petrol to clean out the diff. Not oil.
