William Robert Gilliland 18 6 1985

On 18 June in 1985 IRA terrorists murdered William Robert Gilliland (Bob) 39. Married father of 2 sons aged 9 + 10.
RUC police constable on mobile patrol in first of two police cars, when a 1000 lb landmine was detonated at Coragh Glebe, Killesher, Kinawley, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
Police colleague with him; Jeff Smith, lay unconscious for weeks and was severely injured. A large crater was left in the rural road.
